I initially wasn't interested in waiting in a long line for ice cream. But later decided to check them out at the end of my trip to satisfy my curiosity. Plus it was a warm day and I had already finished all of my shopping. Cows is located in the heart of Downtown Banff and is known for their hand-made premium ice cream. Cows has a variety of flavors with fun creative names like the Gooey Mooey, Cownadien Maple and Wowie Cowie. The people in line were really excited to be experiencing this place. I also noticed Cows has a large gift shop area that sells cow-themed merchandise and apparel. There was a lot of cool stuff to check out in the store. I grabbed my coffee flavored Caramel Moocchiato ice cream and one of their snack items and spent time in the gift shop. Overall, Cows was a fun experience and I am glad a was able to squeeze this place in at the end of my trip.

The view is totally worth the price you pay for it :) the name does justice to this place…read more The food is expensive - and tasty :) you are splurging for the location and amazing service. We had the lobster roll (not enough chunks and bread was not warm by the time I got it), Alberta steak (super tasty!), burrata and seafood salad were ok. The drinks were very unique- I would come back for drinks and appetizers next time. The view - sigh - one could just sit there and reflect on life and enjoy what nature has to offer us. Spectacular lake Louise views

I will say the views of Lake Louise from the restaurant are quite lovely. We were seated inside and it was cozy and comfortable. Customer service was excellent, our server, Joe was absolutely wonderful. Joe was very friendly and was able to help us out with our questions, deciding on entrees to order and he checked in occasionally during our lunch. The lunch menu has a fair amount of options for starters and entrees. I was curious about the pasta dish, but thought the cost was a bit high. I ordered the rotisserie chicken and caesar salad (which is made at your table) and it was good. I was not a fan of the seasoning of the chicken but the salad was great. My mom had ordered the fish and chips and was impressed with the portions and the texture and flavor. She enjoyed her entree along with a french onion soup. We also split a key lime tart, which was a good balance of sweet and tart. Overall, a great meal and dining experience. I'd recommend visiting Lakeview Lounge if you're interested in enjoying a delicious, memorable meal with scenic views.

The decor is all Canada and specially Alberta Rockies focused. They have a massive fireplace which adds to the overall ambiance. The food is Alberta forward and absolutely delicious. We loved every bite.. fresh, clean eating and they have an amazing selection of wines from around the globe. I chose the Alberta beef /steak for main course... it was so good. My husband had the Bison meatballs and said they too were delicious. If you are ever in the Lake Louise area do not miss this fabulous spot.

I made a reservation via our hotel concierge months ahead of time, which sounds necessary in the summer months. They were turning away walk ins on this particular night. I assumed everyone recommended due to the fun, unique train station atmosphere, but I thought the food was really good too. We began our meal with some wine and the all Aboard Platter for Two: coconut shrimp, bison meatballs, mushroom tart, bruschetta. It was the perfect mix of appetizers, which I'd recommend. For my meal I got the salmon, which was cooked to perfection, along with a side salad. My husband went for the bison ribs. I"m not really a ribs gal, but i had a few bites and SO good. Too full for dessert, but if i had room I'd be all about the strawberry rhuburb. The service was friendly and quick (the turn the tables fast) and the train even went by as we were headed out the door.
