Initially, Mark was professional and gained entry to the room after 45 minutes. If the encounter had ended there, I would have given him 5 stars. However a stealthy act, I caught him taking pictures in my home on his cell phone, changed my rating. When I called him out, he said, "Oh, I didn't think you'd mind." If that were true, he would have asked me first and not attempted to hide his actions. I insisted that he delete the photos. He apologized but I felt uncomfortable and my privacy was violated. I just wanted to pay him and end the encounter. Later, someone needed a locksmith and remembered I had a recent service. They asked for my recommendation so I decided to share my experience.

We lost our only key to our SUV. We wanted to avoid the expense of towing it 20-some miles to the…read morenearest Ford dealer to cut and program a new key so I googled Rochester locksmith and called just about every result for a quote. As of yet, I am still waiting for a couple companies to call me back. Another well known Rochester locksmith said they could cut a key but NOT program it so it would still involve that tow to a dealer. Now that leaves the remaining 3 locksmiths that said they could cut and program keys. The lowest quote to the highest quote ranged almost $200...so glad I took the time to call around. A-1 was the second lowest quote but the locksmith with lowest quote was having equipment problems and was actually unavailable. Anyway, Mark from A-1 answered the phone right away and was very friendly. He took the time to double check the quote so we wouldn't be surprised by anything when he actually got here. As we live off in the country, he was great at communicating his ETA. While here, you could tell he has 25yrs of experience; he was courteous and he worked diligently on making sure the key was perfect. He went way above and beyond with this service and we cannot thank him enough. Hands-down, A-1 will be used again. They are the best choice and best deal for a locksmith!

Clearly the owner, Andy Cummings carefully selects the sub-contractors he works with as after ten years the craftsmanship shows. Unfortunately in 2017 we learned of a problem with the community septic system in the subdivision. The issue was created by the subdivision developer and not by Andy or Med City Builders. Andy worked with us to correct the problem even though he didn't have to. It became apparent his reputation is important to him and he wants his customers to be happy before and after the sale. The top layer of the concrete is flaking away. Now we have to pay someone else to fix this mess. Unfortunately, we learned that Bill has a reputation for watering down the concrete after we had already signed his contract. We signed up with him because of his father's good reputation in the concrete business. We are greatly regretting doing business with Bill and won't be calling him again!
