I take Reformer Pilates 4 times per week and love the instructors. Each has a different strength and focus. They offer pilates for rehab plus the level 1-3 classes. Everyone is very friendly and professional. It's a small gym and the classes are small. They do offer a broad range of other classes but I have not taken many of these.

Every single coach has so much experience and they all push you hard while also being friendly and clear. Whether you have never stepped foot into a gym or have years of experience, this gym will expand your knowledge and experience (if you put in the work). If I didn't have to leave the state, I would be at Art of War indefinitely. I've trained here for a bit over a year and it has been hard, but one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. Thanks so much to the staff, coaches, and team members for being welcoming and pushing me hard! If you've been thinking of trying the gym, pull the trigger (you won't regret it).

When I looked into them my first thought was "oh I see, it's simply pilates, I got this". I, in fact, did NOT 'got this'! I soon learned that ONE Lagree Plus class would be the equivalent of a week's worth of basic Pilates classes. Now, I consider myself a fairly fit person. I workout regularly. But Lagree had me WORKING FOR IT! Shoulders, legs, glutes, abs - everything got worked. The next day I had parts of my abdominals sore that I didn't even know COULD get sore. That's how effective Lagree is. Unfortunately, they are a little too far from me to make this a frequent part of my workout routine. However, to do a drop-in class every so often to simply humble myself will be awesome.

This is the first class I have had with him (his Eugene location)... and using the bo staff for yoga is interesting and really helps to stretch without overdoing it. I look forward to more classes, and also intend to attend his Eugene QiGong classes. Highly recommended for anyone, but especially those of us who are not as young as we used to be! :)

Better Bodies Review:…read more Vicky is a skilled, talented and experienced teacher. I've worked with several different instructors over the years and have appreciated skills offered by each person. However, I often knew I was approximating a movement but not doing it correctly. Vicky is the first trainer to have the body knowledge, observational skills, and instructional expertise that allows me to follow her specific and useful cues. As I practice, I internalize the cues growing more aware of my own patterns of posture and movement. The internal awareness allows better body alignment, and healthier patterns of movement in my everyday life.

At first,…read moreI didn't want to be "that person" who goes on a rant on the review section, but this review has to do with the impact this particular CrossFit had on many lives. Flashback: March 2019. Covid-19. Most of us afraid. Will our families survive? How will life look during a pandemic? Then news hit. Gyms, entertainment facilities, and restaurants in Oregon to close. At first, I felt this gym was "semi" fair in allowing people to borrow some equipment. I was able to borrow a bar, a kettle, and a few rubber plates. That was nice, but I just can't stop thinking about the fact that they were still charging us the full premium for a percentage of the effort. Two zoom classes offered per day, both during typical 9-5 working hours. Workouts were posted with machines that we didn't have access to, or at least most of us didn't i.e. rowing machines. See, I understand wanting to take care of your family, but at the cost of others? I think about the people who lost their jobs during the pandemic and how you were still drafting 130+ (depending on how many months they signed up for) out of their banking account. In my case it was around $160.00. I was extremely fortunate to have a job during the pandemic, but I don't get how I was paying a large premium for two zoom classes that were during my working hours. The sell point of CrossFit is competing with a group while getting a form of training in a group setting. All of that was removed from the situation and so the cost should have followed, in my personal opinion. If you had decreased the cost to $50-$70, I wouldn't feel so taken aback by the choices made by this facility. A percentage of the work on your part for the full price. Most of us work for our money, and I feel you should have worked for yours, or decreased to alleviate others during a difficult time. I wasn't the only one plagued by these actions, others with whom I came into contact with felt the same way. I just want others to think twice before they choose this CrossFit. I would have happily supported your survival by paying $50-$70, just to keep your dream of having a gym alive, but because of the actions taken during a critical time in so many lives, I could never support this business or this business owner, Andrew, again. I encourage anyone taking the time to read this review to choose a different branch of CrossFit and to not support CrossFit Intensify. -Taylor
