The crew leader who did the job was meticulous and thorough in her work - an A+. She was reliable, communicative about the job, and was delightful and a joy to have do the work. Daniel came back in person to check on things and to let us know that they'd be an extra day because they ran out of some trim paint. I'll be giving them a ring when our other house needs paint. So, I went to my computer and did a quick search and found Five Star Painting of Bend. I requested a quote through Yelp and they responded in under an hour. The representative walked me through the process and arrived to estimate the project later that day. The estimate went well and I appreciated the willingness to work with me on various issues around the house. The job took just a little over a week and it looked fantastic! I almost didn't want to sell it anymore. In addition to painting the kitchen windows, doors, hand rail, balusters, Ryan also repaired damaged door jams, replaced three broken floor tiles, installed new kitchen cabinet hardware and even replaced a small section of wall in my laundry room. Thanks again for all your hard work.

The initial painting of our house was okay. The crew was hardworking and they were done pretty…read morequickly. However; one of the reasons I selected this business (and paid more than other bids) is because of the 2-year warranty that they offered, which turned out to be useless. When the 2-year mark arrived, it was like pulling teeth to get Adam to honor his warranty. He would ghost me for long stretches. After several months of nagging, I did eventually get him to come out, but he had one crew member who spent about 1.5 hours working on the bubbled areas (and there were lots!). Adam assured me his crew would sand/scrape the bubbled areas, but they didn't do that. The guy just slapped paint over the spots. Obviously, that isn't going to hold. Now, I am faced with fixing the mess myself. All of that nagging for 1.5 hours of work by one guy! They also wouldn't fix the front door which had not fared well over the 2 years and the wood was splitting. If you care at all about the warranty, I would skip this contractor. And I certainly will NOT be a repeat customer.

Additionally we wanted to refinish our old oak cabinetry with a new whit finish. We interviewed a lot of painters and even hired someone different initially.(before meeting James) Luckily the Guy we hired turned out to be totally irresponsible and just decided to not do the job after contract signed and paid 50% because "he wasn't feeling the vibe...?" Anyhow that was a blessing in disguise. The first time we met James we felt very comfortable with him. He was VERY thorough in walking the house... taking notes... giving his thoughts. I liked him so much I cancelled the other quotes I had scheduled and told him immediately that I wanted to work with him if we could keep within our budget. He ended up giving me a quote on the spot and we scheduled our service immediately. He's a busy guy so we had to wait a few weeks, but as the saying goes... "the best things come to those whom wait." He arrived on time every day with his partner Jeremy. The two of them worked super hard and even accommodated some changes on the fly. I could not be happier with the work they did, and not only would I hire them again but I consider both guys friends after having them in my home for a couple weeks. I'm looking forward to having them back to do our exterior in the spring! Oh, one more thing... while James was painting our ceiling he noticed a slight bulge in one area that I never would have noticed. Thanks to him I had a plumber come out who found Black mold in our ceiling!!! Thanks to James not only is our house more beautiful but it's now safer for my family as well.
