Waited until 3pm (closing time) to be told that the passport was ready and they would call us when it's done. No indication if the passport would be ready before flight out in 2 days. - On exit, Security informed us the office was closed the next day for staff training. Counter staff did not inform of this. Chris was great to work with during planning considering my mom and I were splitting the cost of services, I recommend communication via phone rather than email. He highlighted which shuttle bus size would serve our guests best and we were able to divide the 4-hour minimum into (2) 2-hour shifts at the beginning of the wedding and towards the end. The shuttle bus driver had waters available and was super friendly even during the late shift around midnight! This team is completely reliable and on time with very professional drivers! Only downside was that the AC barely worked in our limo and was blowing air lightly that wasn't cold. Overall, I recommend!

There were several County Trip cars outside HPN this morning, and I missed my driver waiting for me inside, but we quickly figured it out. His car was new, clean, didn't have any overbearing fragrances, and he couldn't have been a nicer person. He didn't drive like a maniac, the conversation flowed naturally, and he seemed to genuinely enjoy his job as well. To top it off, they are prompt and their rates are very fair and competitive - $26 from HPN to White Plains, and that includes a tip (I tipped him extra anyway). I'd much rather use County Trip for $5 more than a regular taxi and look forward to it in the future!

Basically, all we had to do was show up. Even at the airports we were met and guided past the long lines and helped through all of the immigration, customs, security and other steps. All communication leading up to our trip, mostly me asking questions, was always answered promptly and during the trip we were pampered and cared for every step of the way. Each of the luxury camps and lodges we stayed at were wonderful - comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. Our private guide through Tanzania, Vianney, was terrific. He was a walking encyclopedia of the wildlife and flora of region. He also knew where to take us to see the magnificant animals - very often places where we were the only ones there. Each day's game drive was amazing. We saw all of the cats: Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs. Plus elephants, zebras, giraffes, a very rare black rhino and too many more to list. We also had a front-row seat to the great migration. When planning a major vacation, I like to make sure that all of the details - large and small - are taken care of so that there are no issues or unpleasant surprises while traveling. Because of that I probably peppered Dan Saperstein with more questions than the average traveler. Dan was always responsive and helpful. The result was that the only surprises we had were great ones. Like him noticing, from our passport information, that one of us had a birthday while at a safari camp. We were surprised that evening at dinner with the staff singing a traditional Swahili birthday song and the kitchen prepared a cake. Just wonderful. When we left for Africa, all of us felt that we were prepared for the trip: Had the right clothes, protective medications and gear, photo equipment, etc. for the trip. We knew what to expect. Even so, we were very pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it was. I can recommend Hippo Creek Safaris without hesitation. If our trip was an indicator, you will be very happy.

We found the pre-trip communication to be excellent but feel that the service while we were on the trip was out of this world! We had a few hiccups with a lodge in Tanzania. I was pretty upset with the situation and emailed Nina. I believe that there was a 6 hour time difference between where I was at and where she was at in New Jersey. Even then, I received a return email back from Nina almost immediately. She contacted the managers at the lodge as well as the senior managers at And Beyond; within the hour, we received an apology from the lodge management and a gift for our troubles. As you can imagine, anything can go wrong when you are half way around the world. I took a lot of comfort in knowing that there was someone who could help in my time of need. I liked Nina and Dan so much that I booked a trip for 2015 to Southern Africa for my elderly parents. Nina even personally wrote the owners of a camp in Botswana to see if they could fit my parents in especially since the camp was "sold out". If you have never been on safari before, I highly recommend that you use Nina and Dan. I know that in the age of online bookings, you might be able to organize the trip yourself. However, the camps vary widely in quality and access to these camps are typically by small plane charters. Having someone who knows the best camps and the best time to go will save you a lot of money and heart ache in the long run. Please note that this is a once in a lifetime experience for most of us since the "average" 10 day luxury safari will cost approximately $15k per person (excluding international air fare).

This time he was driving my family (Two adults and TWO CHILDREN IN CAR SEATS), and WAS READING AND RESPONDING TO TEXTS while on the HIGHWAY and ALMOST HIT ANOTHER CAR! I gasped and said you need to stop texting, my family is in the car, these are my children. His response was unapologetic and said well he needs to speak with his other driver who needs him. I said if you need to do that then you need to pull over. Instead of waiting to address his driver, he literally pulled off on the side of the highway with my family in the car to respond to a text. Super unprofessional. On top of this, when we arrived to my home he said I owed him more than what was quoted. No apology for the texting and almost hitting another car, then asks for more than the agreed amount? Will not use this company again.

I recently flew into HPN for a work trip and I always love visiting new to me airports. This one is…read moretiny, with only four gates in use. It was super crowded when I flew in, with people sitting in hallways and it was a bit cramped. I had reserved a rental car which was easy to pick up and on site not far from the exit. When I came through for my return flight, there was a bit of a line for the rental car return, but it only took me about 2 minutes to get through TSA pre check. Even if there's a long line for security, all the gates are right after TSA so you don't have to walk far at all. It wasn't super busy but there is limited seating and food options. They do have a tiny bar in the convenience store area, and they sell canned alcohol (after 8 am). I needed some snacks and it was pretty chaotic in the shop area, with lots of people and not much space. The wifi worked well and I was able to get some work done while I waited. Overall a decent, very small airport!
