Elite Taxi - Chosen Cincinnati's best airport transportation service! David Steenbergen Owner Elite Taxi

Watch out! Elite Taxi is as crooked as they come…read more To set the scene, picture an 88-year-old woman who weighs 88lbs that cannot see well enough to type her own review of this hustler. My grandmother took a cab from a Cincinnati airpot to her apartment (a 10 minute drive or 4.2 miles, to be precise) and was given a bill of around $20.00, nothing out of the ordinary. Somehow "Chris", using his Square app, managed to end up charging her $125.00, which she only found out about the next day. As far as we can tell there are only two ways he could have done this. He either input the incorrect amount himself or my grandmother accidentally added a "custom tip" (which seems unlikely given her eyesight and understanding of apps) and he did not have the decency to correct such a gargantuan error. Shame on you for taking advantage of the elderly! Upon reporting this error to the company more than one member of the staff admitted they were at fault and told my father the difference would be credited back to her account. Several phone calls later and my grandmother has still not received the money. The credit card company has also declined reimbursing her for it as the taxi company apparently claimed (to American Express) my grandmother was at fault. The owner "Dave" was supposedly too sick to call my father back (a tactic used by evasive business owners and lazy high schoolers), and now perhaps intends to put off my grandmother until she gives up or forgets. What kind of company behaves this way? Who would employ a cab driver that intentionally rips-off old women? Oh wait, I'll tell you! Elite Taxi, your local, crooked, unfriendly cab company.

I hate writing bad reviews for people who are working to make a living. But this is my story…read more I had a very early morning flight, and I booked the evening before. Didn't feel great about the response, so when I was ready early the next morning I called and asked to move the time up. Sure enough, she asked my address again because she doesn't didn't remember booking it. She assured me she would be right there. Half an hour later on the verge of driving myself, I called again for a status and was told she was 2 minutes away. More like seven, but oh well. Looked like a POV with no taxi markings. There was a passenger, and the van was full of trash. He told her she should get rid of the trash when I got in, This was beyond my original time to start with, so good thing I called. Then she announces she needs to stop for gas. WTF...I'm already worried about time. I will take $5 off your fare was her reply. My son has taken an Ub er to the airport from here and fare was $15. She charged me $50. And instead of using the closest filling station she went into the heart of town to a speedway. Sketchy passenger got out, and picked up trash, went over to full can, and then brought it back. All the time she's chatting up the attendant. Then she put in $15 worth. Again...WTF. Took several calls on the way to the airport. It was 5:10 am, we were 15 minutes from airport, and she agreed to pick up someone back in town in 15 minutes. They saw right thru her and got off the line. Smarter than me. When we got to airport and I saw into the back of her van it was filled with "stuff" and my suitcase was sitting on top of what looked like yard sale merchandise. Did I mention the inside of the vehicle smelled of "tobacco" (giving then the benefit of the doubt here). I don't think it was tobacco. Then she sends me her personal phone number to book direct next time. Right??? Clueless. For a smart woman, I get myself in some shady areas. From now on it's Uber or Lyft for me. Worse experience ever.
