They are honest and trustworthy and I feel confident knowing my treasured pieces will be handled with the utmost care. Jewelry ranges from costume to fine, as per another review cz to diamonds. Staff were around, asked if I needed any help, but I wished they had offered more info as to whether jewelry were from local artisans, where they get their stuff, etc. Other than aesthetics, not sure how stuff was organised. However, the costume jewelry was probably in the open, more accessible dressers whereas the silver/gold jewelry, esp. with diamonds, in the cases, at the back of the store. They have really nice pieces and I wished that I had more time to pick out a ring for myself!

Such a darling little shop in Kingston…read more Stopped in to browse their jewellery on a day in town. They offer mostly modern sterling silver pieces with varying price points. The materials range from cubic zirconia to real diamonds. The piece I loved the most also happened to be one of the most expensive in the store (turns out it was white gold and diamonds). But was oh so pretty - may have to treat myself next time I come back to visit.

Took my ring here to be resized, it was resized wrong the first time, so I had to wait another…read moreweek. Then the oxidization was removed, so I had to leave it for another day. Two weeks later it started to bend. I took it back and was told that it was the ring, as it was silver. She wanted another $150 to fix it. I took it to a real goldsmith, and he inspected it and told me there were 3 faults where the solder from the resizing was done, it's just a matter of time before it breaks. I haven't received a refund.

I have had several occasions to visit Cobico Jewellers.. when they were in the mall and now in the…read morenew location.. they were the only ones in this entire area who could fix a puzzle ring!! which was my own fault for dropping it TWICE!! they didn't even charge me for the second time as it happened within a couple of weeks of the first time.. then .. our daughter bought her husbands custom designed wedding band from them.. another happy customer.. and the very best .. they custom designed a ring for my husbands 60th birthday.. he dropped it and broke a stone..(an emerald) and Terry was able to find a comparable one and reset the ring.. we have been treated with respect..sincerity and honesty.

The one owner was super into supporting trump and would talk all day about how good trump was and how great his ideas would be for the business and for Canada in general. It made me so so so uncomfortable I just didnt understand what that had to do with running that business. The one owner has a hot temper. He would lose his temper at some of the smallest stuff. I worked hard to design a new store website for them and when he was screaming at me to fire me he made sure to say it was specifically because of my disability. They broke multiple labour laws, refused to pay me my final pay check and abruptly fired me. They lied on my record of employment rendering me unable to obtain EI and left me very close to becoming homeless. Simply because the male owner has a hot temper and didnt like me. They will treat people negatively based on their narrow minded views and they treat their staff horribly. This reflected in the quality of work. They would make simple mistakes like accidentally mixing up two diamond wedding bands during inspection or misplacing a diamond. Its truly a reflection of the lack of compassion and chosen bigotry they have towards anyone who doesnt agree with their conservative views. If you value your jewelry I would highly recommend not risking it with these people.

My insurance company requested that I go back to where I had purchased the ring to obtain an updated appraisal as the jeweller would be most familiar with the ring. It is truly unfortunate that I cannot access this service simply on the basis that shared my experience as a customer, which is a fundamental human right. Businesses should stand behind their customers and their products.

Kingston, Ontario is a great town with one drawback: A lot of the stores and restaurants are closed…read moreon Sundays. Fortunately, there's plenty to see, do, eat... and shop for. The shopping gem I happened upon was the Kingston Sunday Antique Market, found at the on King St, between Market & Brock Street ... or, as the way I stumbled upon it, by following the cocophony of sound from behind the town's grandiose City Hall. Considering the sturdy rain earlier in the day, it's existence (which IS weather permitting) was a pleasant surprise. Vendors whipped off their rain-beaded tarps and the market was in full force after the sun came out. It isn't some half-a**ed glorified garage sale. You'll find vintage furniture (especially chairs, bookshelves, and dressers), product signs, jewelry, toy cars, books, sports cards, trunks, art work, books, old political ephemera, plenty of tempting NHL stuff, pottery, records (and even a few 8-tracks!), retro kitchen stuff, old intricate teapots ... I could go on forever. You'll also find local merchants like Ladybug Antiques & More at the market. So if in Kingston on a Sunday, early April through late October from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., I highly recommend visiting Kingston's lovely market.
