I have had nothing but positive experiences when going to this pawn shop. I believe it's the owner that takes care of me and he gave me great prices on loans without high finance charges and for jewelry it's for months. I was treated like a human being and he cared about what I had to say about my problems and worked with me instead of just being a customer looking to make as much money like most pawn shops. I know in Chicago the pawn licenses are expensive and went up in the past couple of years in which I knew another pawn shop owner that wouldn't review his license and moved to work another job. I suggest going to pawn items and check out some of the merch the jewelry seems well priced and I couldn't be happier with taking loans out. read more

A great place to obtain electronics. I've purchased a laptop, gaming system (Xbox One) and a DSLR camera from this location. I do wish they'd also handle PCs, but unfortunately they don't seem to deal in them. The staff are always friendly and even knock down items prices from their listed prices (which may seem like a pricing tactic, but the list prices were correct for resale; they just seem to appreciate return customers). read more

I rarely do this review thing but this place is just terrible and id hate for anyone else to waste their time trying to do business with them. The staff suffers from lack of product knowledge and quite frankly lack of the knowledge of how to hustle product in general. So question: Why are you in this business? I brought in an item which you could easily get $5-600 for used. I worked in retail selling this type of product for a decade so i know what they are worth. To avoid some overdrafts I was asking to BORROW (not sell) $75 on an item you could sell used for $600. They denied me. Seriously a bad decision for someone running a pawn shop. They could mark this product up AT LEAST 4x what i was asking and still sell it. Passing on a 400-600% profit. Not a good business model. Im also someone who has these types of product coming and going so they lost a customer who might have been a solid regular. Ill continue to go to the Cash America at sheridan and Broadway, Their service and pricing are both wayyyy better. read more

These guys are awesome! Was completely unfamiliar with how the process works and was a bit apprehensive initially. Willy was incredibly helpful and straightforward with how to proceed. I had a 5 day hold for a sizable check to clear at my bank and needed a bridge until it became available. The entire process was fast and completely painless. these guys have got to be the most kind, respectful, and honest pawn shop owners i've ever encountered. i've taken things here multiple times , in one instance , some me unexpected curveballs caused me to be extremely late on one of my tickets . because i had a pattern of always coming back for my stuff, he held it for me past the expiration date so i wouldn't lose it. these guys have really helped me out during some rough patches and i would recommend them before anyone else in this city . read more

I called and spoke to Junior before going into the shop. He made me an offer over the phone but when I arrived at the store (the item still in original packaging and new) He then low balled the offer and it was quite insulting. I suppose two fake reviews are all the praise they will get. Unless you are an addict of some sort willing to sell your soul for pennies do not visit these crooks. I would understand if the item was brought in but in poor condition but there is no reason to misquote that much for an item in new condition. read more

I wanted a replacement iPod - nothing fancy. After looking on eBay and Craig's list for weeks, I figured I'd at least try the store at 4509 Sheridan. I was VERY PLEASED! Josh was a great help and quite patient. I finally left with an iPOD and a digital camera, both for less money than private sellers on either eBay or Craig's list.
