Their food never disappoints either, I've had their onion rings, fried pickles, beer battered fish, orka, sweet potato tots and pecan pie, all were really good, definitely better than The Anchor's food and definitely better than The Hill's onion rings and Bricktown Brewery's onion rings and most definitely better than the onion rings served at Applebee's and IHOP. I definitely can't wait to visit this place for its fifth anniversary, I will sure be back.

We ordered the Fish Dinner: $15.99 for 2 fillets and 2 sides. We ordered onion rings and mac 'n' cheese. I thought the fish batter was very nicely seasoned and flavorful. But I was disappointed in how thin the fillets were. Not very meaty. The onion rings were just ok, tasted like a "frozen from a box" ring rather than hand made on site. The mac 'n' cheese was pretty tasty. We were there at 4pm on a Sunday, and they had a nice steady stream of customers. I'm glad for that, and glad we tried it. But I don't think we'll go back. A bit high priced for what we got.

WOW! Easily the best…read morechicken tenders I've ever had.... Ever! Da' Chicken Shak is a blessing to Wichita. The service is straightforward, there's someone behind the counter, they'll ask you what you'd like, what side(s) and sauce(s). You pay, you wait, and learn that the waiting is well worth it. The tenders are made fresh from scratch. The slaw is home made too, man it's good. The layout is as basic as it gets, chairs and tables, counter, minor decorations, and you're in and you're out. Some places don't need to be over the top designed, and this place is one that is a true gem. I'm so glad I stumbled across this place. Bare minimum, if anyone comes, get the tenders, and Shak sauce, you will not be disappointed. 6 pc Tenders w/slaw +Shak Sauce & BBQ Sauce Total: ~$15 Wait time: Approx. ~7-10min Note: I will be revisiting, highly recommend this spot as a gem of Wichita, if anyone decides to read this in its entirety.

The great thing about the chili is that there is enough left over to have chill fries. The burger was excellent and the bun held up nicely. I would definitely recommend any of the burgers! This was a very casual atmosphere and the old fashioned decorations keep the eyes moving! Very unique and worth the time to check out while waiting for the burger. This is a must visit!!!

Why do they bother saying you can order them cooked your way? I ordered medium and mine was very well done. Wasn't going to send it back because who knows what happens in the kitchen when you do that? The bun and fixings were fine, but the burger itself was not worth the out-of-the way drive to get there. Fries were OK. Companion had a grilled chicken sandwich, which was reportedly good. If you like a burger that is the least big juicy, I suggest ordering medium rare and see what happens. The wing sauces are clearly homemade. The garlic Parmesan is so good with tons of garlic, which I love! However, that ranch dressing is from bottle; I am certain. It's like a nutty, savory, smokey West African seasoning. Definitely unique if you haven't tried it. Served with purple onion made it all come together nicely. Cost wise is really affordable for the quality and size you get. Atmosphere is pretty plain but happy about the cleanliness. The young man running the front was hospitable. Looked me in the eyes when handing me the to go order and thanked me with a smile. Small gestures go along way and that left a positive impression before I even tried the delicious wings.
