Perfect for a quiet shop not battling traffic to get to Kingston then paying a large parking fee and long walk. Its full of items for the home aswell as food gifts - alcohol,pate,biscuits etc and gift sets They even had my favourite Kold cocktails so if you see the Lychee Martini has run out that because i have them in my freezer. Staff were helpful, no long queues and lots of display. I think i shall be getting some of my Xmas prezzies from here

All feels somewhat temporary, but that said, that are gems to be found - you just need to look past the grim surroundings and ferret about; for example, for those more sylph-like than me, there was one "bit" that specialised in Nicole Farhi samples. The downside was, as many of them were "one-offs" or pre-production items, none of them had size labels on them. There are also a range of furniture, household, and toy sections, as well as clothing. Thinking of it as a quirkier ( and much better stocked - at least for the moment) TK Maxx. Happy hunting !

Visited the store to return a faulty necklace I had bought from Hobbs for my daughter's birthday…read more Received the most diabolical treatment from a (can't really call her a lady) who claimed to be the Store Manager (she also claimed to be a lawyer). She abused her power, calling security on myself and my sister to be removed, I was aghast and security did not remove us as there was nothing to be removed for, they too where somewhat confused. She caused an extreme spectacle of herself in front of staff too. As a life long shopper who spends good money at HoF this store has changed for the worse. This was all to do with an exchange for a faulty chain but when I saw her behaviour I did not want that store to have my hard earned money. As we could not be removed, she decided to get more spiteful and said I could not have the full refund and replaced the broken chain and then gave a receipt for less money than I had paid for it, despite having my statement as proof of payment. She clearly was clueless as to the law and sales of good act when it comes to faulty goods. However, good did transpire, I was able to go to another branch of Hobbs, explained what happened to a wonderful Store manager. Full refund, she did not even ask to see my bank statement. Avoid this branch at all cost, this woman is vile.

So the two main shops I visit here is house of fraiser and debenhams, they are multi floor stores and I tend to buy my luxury items here like underwear makeup perfume and dresses. The other Beaty of these stores is that they have a personal shopper if you have limited time, though book in advance they can get busy!

With the development of the Croydon "Westfield" soon to begin I guess there will be lots of new shops coming to town. The variety of shops is still good and you can get almost everything you want. Prices vary but that is to be expected, the price of parking is something of an issue as you have to pay £2:50 for anything under two hours parking. So if you only want to go to one shop thing about where you will park to get best value.

Mens, womens and children clothing and shoes with frequent sales, time it right and you can get some great deals. Also has own restaurant and, in this branch, they have a fancy dress area which is useful for the random fancy dress parties you might get invited to!

They have New Look clothing store, Boots, M&S, so you could make this a one stop shopping deal. The mall is well laid out and very clean. Seems like the central place to meet in Croydon.

Now by now everyone has heard that Whitgift would soon be transformed into the new Westfield…read moreshopping mall! It is currently very hard to believe given that half the shops in this place now sit vacant and those that remain have a certain tacky vibe about it with a handful of bargain stores (don't get me wrong! You can find some real gems in these places) and because of how the lack of shops have driven many visitors away and the Westfield plans have been delayed in like forever, I hope that the new Westfield would bring back customers and visitors in droves. It's such a shame that the Westfield plans have been delayed as many businesses have moved out too soon in anticipation for it. Still, nothing beats walking down north end reminiscing about the good olden days because when Westfield finally arrives, gone would be the brown and beige floor tiles and the 90s feel that makes this Croydon shopping centre so unique. #LiveLifeLikeLDN
