I am so glad I found this place! I recently finished a 3 day juice detox from Squeezed Online and have been craving a good veggie drink. Not that sugary stuff sold in bottles at the store or ones full of ice cream, but just juice. That's exactly what I found at Just Juice! Their Green Drink was just what I wanted. The owner Tom, was an absolute delight to talk with about the benefits of juice and holistic medicine. I loved the juice so much I bought a 1/2 gallon. It was blended fresh for me and placed in a giant glass jar. I know I could probably make the stuff at home for less, but I am lazy and unorganized in the mornings. After an appointment in the area, I Yelped vegan restaurants (as I always do when I'm not on my side of town) and was fortunate to come across this place. As I walked in, I got the vibe that I was in the Montrose or Third Ward Area. In other words, this place reminded me of Green Seed Vegan or Té House of Tea - somewhat of a vegan dive bar/hipster vibe. All good to those of us with a plant-based diet who are used to such places! As I walked up to the bar, I struck up a conversation with a lady at the bar who was "heading the way" of a plant-based diet, and we got to talking about Veggie Fest, this lead to a expansion of the members of our conversation to most of the folks in the place as we talked about vegan experts we knew of, some vegan groups we knew about, and the wider Houston vegan community. After checking their menu, I was curious about their smoothies although I really only wanted a meal. I was offered a sample of their Energy Green Supreme. When it came to my decision for a meal, I let my waiter know that I was looking for something that was not only vegan but that was good for my overall fitness - something that my PT would be proud of. I must say that they understood what I was going for easily. I didn't have to explain myself. This definitely gave them a lot of points. It was recommended that I try their black bean burger. I added on avocado and requested a lettuce bun as opposed to a wheat bun. Since I ordered a lettuce bun instead of a breaded bun, they didn't charge me extra for the avocado. What a bargain! THIS (may) BE THE BEST BEAN BURGER IN HOUSTON! Yes, the lettuce bun made eating it messy, but it was so good! One of the cooks was great to talk to because he is very involved in the vegan community, and he knew some of the same organizations I am a part of. It was great to hear one of the food preparer's vegan story as well. The owner was interesting too. He's a man of faith and very cordial. The best kept secret in the greenspoint area. This unexpected small business that sells healthy organic vegan food and juices is something amazing and could be overlooked by some. Their menu of juices has various choices for everyone. They have a smaller food menu, but all the choices are delicious. They have a black bean burger, blt, Rueben sandwhiches, salad, and soup. They serve alkaline water. You can add "boosters" in your juice such vegan protein powder, extra virgin coconut oil, and raw honey. The black bean burger was delicious and served on whole grain bread with fresh veggies. Customers and cashiers and chefs were all talking together. There was a sense of family that I much appreciated. As it was my first time here, the cashier explained all the sandwich choices to me. There's not many healthy and/or vegan options in this area so this will be my new lunch spot. It was raining and the employee tried to find an umbrella to take me out! I have been dealing with just juice for well over 10 years. Tom, Chris, & Ken are always very friendly and happy to see me as they are with all their guests. It is a christian-based business featuring healthy smoothies from their mean green which I usually get with extra garlic and pepper to a smoothie that is all vegetable but taste like a chocolate milkshake. They have a excellent BLT that uses all vegetable but taste just like bacon, they also feature tabboulee, and vegan spring rolls, among the varied menu which includes soups and salads. They all are very knowledgeable about how to eat healthy they sell vitamins and other health related items. You can even get vegan cakes there. Any day that you go in there you will find people sitting around engaging in any number of topics of conversation, very learned people who will discuss things with you. They will educate you if you need it, or they will pray with you if that's what you need. They're not pushy about their Christian ethics but I have read other reviews to this place were people talk down about it because is a Christian business and that was their only complaint. Visited Just Juice for lunch today and I wouldn't mind going back for a juice or if I find myself in a pinch. They are located in a strip center that only has maybe three or four shops. I was a tad hesitant when I pulled up, but never judge a book by its cover. The place is a little cluttered when you walk in, lots of boxes in the corner (you can actually see them from the window), not much of a fan of a cluttered eatery....but I came to eat, so thats what I did. The two cooks were very friendly and helped with my order. I got the black bean burger and curry veggie soup (17 bucks, a tad steep for what you get). The black bean burger is an exact replica of the Morning Star black bean burger, I would be surprised if this is the burger they are actually using. The burger is actually served on what bread, so its more of a sandwich. It come with mayo, onion, cucumber and lettuce...and avocado, avocado is an extra buck. The flavor truly was "okay", I think I could have made the same at home, but like I said, if you're in a pinch, not bad. The soup was okay as well. I appreciate the curry flavor but it seemed like something was missing. I really enjoy this place, what a healthy change of pace amongst the sea of meat that is typically offered at every corner. The place is tiny, with a bar area only, at least when I was here, the entire area where a few tables may be, was full of product from a recent delivery. I like cozy places like this, who are serious about the food they produce, just take it for what it is & don't judge until after you have tried the food; in particular the black-bean burger. Menu has grown & the owner is extremely nice, just be prepared to listen to some "god-talk" as he is very religious. The place is located in a dumpy-looking strip mall, the inside of the restaurant looks like a nutrition freak's garage (bags, bottles, and boxes of powders, proteins, seeds, coconut oils, etc. are everywhere), and the food is slightly pricey (my drink and burger came up to $16!), but the staff is extremely friendly and outgoing, and the food is truly astounding!! Outnumbered by the fast food joints that proliferate the surrounding Greenspoint area, I've remarked to the staff/owners that I am so glad they exist out here. When I'm feeling yucky and need a chlorophyll fix, I make a bee-line for Just Juice. Like most businesses out here, it is located in a sketchy strip center next to a hair weaving salon and a Bally's Fitness; an anomaly in the land of Southern fried. About $5.50 gets you a generously sized "small", more like a regular, human sized portion of juice. I usually opt for the "Energy Green Supreme". From what I can taste, it's a mixture of spinach, carrots, a bit of ginger, and apples. They ask you if you'd like some cayenne and I say yes, because I likes it spicy. Also, cayenne's good for your metabolism. They offer free wi-fi and mostly veggie sandwiches, burgers, or salads. The only non-veggie items are the wild Alaskan salmon burger ($8) and the free-range buffalo burger ($7). The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The juices are all made from fruits or veggies--no soy milk or dairy products. If you're in the area, do your digestive system a favor and stop by Just Juice. read more

So I left my juicer at my bf's house and needed my daily juice fix. Looked up a juice bar close to my job and this is what I found. The guys working there were super friendly and were very thankful for my visit. Felt like I was just visiting old friends who happen to own a juice bar. I told them what I wanted and they recommended the Green Energy drink. There are two sizes, small and large. Small being $6.50 and large $7.50. They also sell it by the gallon....for $48 bucks! LOL. Ummmm, yea, no. The ONLY thing I didn't like is that they don't use an actual juicer, but a vitamix blender. Which some often mistake as a juicer, but it is, in fact, a blender. Personally, I like the fiber to be separated from the juice, as the vitamins, nutrients and enzymes are more easily and efficiently absorbed that way. But, hey, the juice was delicious and I will definitely return on a day that I am unable to make juice of my own at home. They also have food. Vegan and vegetarian sandwiches and salads and such.
