From the interior of the restaurant I thought it was really gross and I felt dirty for sitting in there. Apparently it is also used as a club which I believe is quite noticeable due to the fact of how unsanitary everything looks. The service wasn't that great either. Both workers were just texting or on their phones and they looked miserable which I think is a bad reflection on the restaurant. Now to the important part the food. The fries were quite greasy and disappointing I thought, I can understand why they give them away for free. But the dipping sauces I had were quite good. The chili lime mayo and peanut butter mayo were really good but you get a small portion. The burger I had was the Italian burger. It had a lot of good flavor but it was a little too rare for me. The sauce was really good and all the ingredients tasted good but if the burger was cooked a little longer than that would have made me happier. Interior and service 2 stars. Burger 3.5 stars.

Even if it's located at a really concurred street and just across the Stadtgarten. I had the chance to try 2 Burgers, no i didn't order 2, Olli and me we couldn't decide which to get, so each of us asked for a different one and shared. Great idea. We ordered the Zimmermann's and the Kahuna, both were super tasty, the winner for me the Kahuna, it was just great. The sauces were also incredible, all home made, with fresh ingredients, not the typical supermarket sauce, the fries were also pretty good, the only thing i didn't really like, or found great, was the bread, it tasted good, but it was cold, besides that, all was just excellent. Great friendly service to really good prices, good Quality food, in a good location. So i would say, this place is really one of those to keep in mind. Definitely going back.

Till recently. With a group of 3 friends went there to try the so preached burgers. And OH MY GOD, it is worth it! But till you actually get to taste them, you will struggle with a lot of other things. For example the queue is huge. Like doesn't even matter if you go on weekends or trough the week, early or late, there will definitely be a queue. Then, after you order, the wait begins. take time with you. 20 minutes are easily in. So no you are bored, hungry and tired of the small talk people try to kill the time with... Suddenly your name is called. You get the burgers, but surprise. If you made the mistake to eat in, it will be impossible for you to actually find a table or place to sit. But if all this suffering is over, OMG you can get fett. The first bite, and you will realise why this place so popular is. The burgers are just amazing, to be honest I will go as far as saying the best I have ever tried. Meat prepared by own recipe, fresh veggies, and own sauces.... Your mouth will just explode from the mixture of fett and taste. So if you are in Cologne, and consider having a burger, don't consider any other places. This is the one to go to, even if it's not quite central, or easy to get to.

It's quite shocking for me to read such good reviews from americans about this place…read more I was here for the first time, and i was truly disappointed. I had a BBQ Bacon Burger, it was good, but nothing from other world. The paddy was big, 200 grs, cooked to the exact point, bacon crispy and tasted great, the BBQ was just regular bottle sauce from the Supermarket :/ the bun well, not the regular kind, but also nothing fancy, i found the patty a bit flavorless. The fries? Don't get me started! The waiting time was like quite a lot, but i'm not someone that complains about that, and i understand, because there is a lot going on here! But after the wait was over and my name was shouted, i got my burger, but no fries, but the guy behind the counter managed that pretty well, he apologized for it and told me i was going to get a big bowl, even though i ordered a small portion, and i also got 2 different sauces when i just ordered ketchup, KUDOS! The sauces overall were bad, flavorless. The Burger looked really great, i just don't know where the taste went, seriously! The service is... well... there? People are friendly, they are like really really under pressure, there are a lot of people coming and going. Like really a LOT of people. I've always heard pretty much only good things about this place and maybe i expected too much, but for me, it was truly just another burger joint with regular burgers. That's what really shocks me the most about the reviews from fellow american yelpers.

The seating was a little tight and the interior was nothing special. The service was not so friendly but wow they made the burgers fast. Under 10 minutes easily. Now I ordered the BBQ Burger with fries and sesame mayo. The fries were fresh and got but nothing special. The mayo was quite good though. The burger was sloppy but in a good way. No way you can eat it with your hands and without a napkin. But messy with burgers to me is a good thing. Great flavor but the bun overwhelmed the meat which was disappointing. Quick, good price and messy yummy burgers :)

It's kind of dark on the outside, so that you just don't notice at first sight if the place is full or not. When i got in i was welcomed with some nice hip hop music on the background, and saw a huge menu written on the wall, the options are pretty big. I ordered a BBQ burger with fries and to my surprise they have Tannen Zäpfle beer, KUDOS! It took about 20 minutes 'til i got my burger, which is a reasonable amount of time, i don't know if the place was full how long it would've taken. The meat was really good seasoned and cooked perfectly. The bun was really good, not too hard nor soft, the sauce was delicious, the fries were freshly made and boiling hot! Overall i found the price is OK for the quality of the burger. The place is nice, but a little bit too hipster for my taste, even though i'll be coming here more often. Good burgers less than 10 minutes walking distance from home is just an unbeatable deal.

We came to the "Grand Opening", and as expected, it was a bit chaotic…read more First of all, i must recognize the people here are extremely friendly, and even if the place was packed, they never lost their coolness. Something i didn't like is that you really come out of here smelling like fries. They need to improve their vent-system. The burger: it was good, not extraordinary, but that's hard to find here in Europe. There's room for improvement, so if people here really listen to feedback, it's going to be fine. Like i said, it was the first day, so let's not be harsh. The paddy was pretty much greatly done, cooked to the perfect point, i felt it lacked a bit of salt and pepper, the bun in my opinion was good, firm & toasty but yet soft & fluffy, it didn't fell of to crumbs even with the juicy 180gr. paddy. The fries, were average, a bit over fried, but not really burned or to crispy, they really need to work on that. A big plus is that they're hand cut fresh potatoes, and i liked the touch of leaving them unpeeled. Standard Fritz drinks, nothing new in a burger joint. On behalf of the sauces, i can't say much, i'm more of a purist and just take my fries with ketchup, as-well as my burger, so the whole fancy sauces are not my thing. This is a good will 4 star review because of the chaos they overcame in their first day and the hope of improvement mentioned above. I will definitely come back in a couple of weeks to see how they're doing when they're already established and develop a system.

It's a double patty cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, bacon and even a mustardy secret sauce, which reminded me so much of my beloved West Coast burger from home.
