Oh hi best burgers in the city! Yep, the other (English) reviews are right - you're unlikely to find a better burger in Dusseldorf. With the brioche buns, delicious beef patties and straightforward flavors, Grindhouse just GETS it. I went for the Jack Daniels BBQ (€11) with a black bun and it was beefy burgery perfection. Also tried the American-style burger (€11), which had me suspicious by the name alone. But this burger is on point and dare I say... comparable to In-N-Out. It's a double patty cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, bacon and even a mustardy secret sauce, which reminded me so much of my beloved West Coast burger from home. Service was super fast and no nonsense, and they accept cards as well. After a series of burger struggles across the city, Grindhouse gives me life, and you should definitely eat here. read more

First and foremost, let's talk about the burgers. Perfectly cooked, homemade, absolutely great! They melt in the mouth. I had a Grindhouse BBQ deluxe burger and, apart from the probably 3 tablespoons of oil / grease that fell onto the table when picked up, which I'm happy to gloss over in this instance (probably from the onions), it was absolutely brilliant. Not 11 euros brilliant on a regular basis, but worth trying every so often. They didn't have any milkshakes at all. Multiple people said this was worth it for a 'Team Lunch only' - BE SURE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE because the place only has 6 or 7 tables and gets busy at lunchtime. Onto the service. We'd accidentally sat down in a reserved spot and the waiter rather rudely asked us to leave. Perhaps this is just a German thing, but as a polite Englishman it was rather offputting, hence the docking of 2 stars. So don't expect great service here, but the food is worth it; if not on a regular basis, then at least occasionally or for team food - just make sure to call and reserve first. Finally as I was leaving, and paying (which took a long time), he owed me change from my note and assumed that I just didn't want it (80 cents), then acted angry and flustered when I asked for my change. THESE ARE THE BEST BURGERS IN ALL OF GERMANY. Amazing flavor, perfect condiment combos, delicious onion rings. Seriously, I can't get enough. I've eaten at Grindhouse twice now this month and can't believe I hadn't heard of it until now. My husband and I ordered delivery (via Foodora). The burgers were a little undercooked (which was fine since I ordered well-done) and the fries were cold, but that didn't even matter. I haven't eaten burgers this good since California and I thought I was out of luck here. Thank god for Grindhouse! I went again, this time to eat in the restaurant. The only downside was the service. Our waitress was very rude and took forever to actually serve us and maybe 30 minutes to get the bill. That said, they let us bring in our dog and the food was even more delicious hot and was beautifully presented. The inside is a little small but we could still get a seat during lunch on a workday. I tried the BBQ Jack Daniels and it was great. The burgers were juicy and better yet, the sweet potato fries are to die for. My personal fave, though was the BBQ sauce that came on the side. Jesus, haven't tasted good BBQ sauce since getting to Germany till I came here! Update: I don't give Grindhouse enough credit. I've now been to multiple burger joints both privately owned and chain, in Düsseldorf and in Cologne...but by far Grindhouse puts burger around here to shame. Honestly there is nothing closer to real tasting BBQ sauce and crispy onion rings anywhere...bonus point because I ordered out once, and unlike other places, Grindhouse's burgers were in tact, by soggy, and their onion rings were crispy as ever.. well done! read more

Best burger I've had in germany. I'm a burger savvy from that has fined all over America. Even went on a road trip where I had at least 20 burgers in one month and most were not in-and-out. This burger is juicy, big, on a fitting bun, with veggie, heat, and the homemade sauce kick you desire. The setting is burger to the max with 60s music. I'm going to go out on a limb and dare to say this is the best burger in Düsseldorf. The beef is not overly greasy and a good size. The sweet potato fries are nothing short of perfect every time. It's a small restaurant, so reservations are highly recommended, even on a weeknight. They have outdoor seating as well when the weather is nice. read more

Nice place and great burger! Such a pity that the service is quite bad!! I have been 4-5 times so far and there is a waitress who's very rude and not friendly at all! Please, at least put a fake smile on your face.. Once we had to wait 30 mins to get attention!!!! read more
