I asked her to use a scissors and thinning shears instead of a razor and she had no problem doing that. The haircut looked just like the picture except that my hair was a little shorter to begin with than the lady in the picture. We'll get there with the next cut, I'm sure. The salon is decorated very nicely and they use and sell eco-friendly products. A big plus for me after having been through breast cancer treatments last year! I've already made another appointment with Tammi for next month!

I've only been to the Garage Salon once, so keep that in mind…read more I had a 9 am appointment and was offered coffee upon arrival - a nice touch. I did have to wait a bit for my stylist, which seemed odd - running late by 9 am when the salon is almost empty? Odd. The wait wasn't too bad though, since it's a nice environment to be in. Otherwise, Annie was gracious and easy to work with. I'm not super thrilled with my cut, but I think that's due in large part to my own mis-instruction. (I asked for a trim and then realized after the fact that I wanted a cut.) So, it's definitely pricier than some other options in the area, but not as pricey as the same experience would be in a larger city. I would visit again since I'm not convinced that the low points of my experience would be repeated.

After reading reviews on many sites, I decided to go with Becca. The salon is about a one hour drive from my home but I do come to Eau Claire regularly for shopping anyway. I decided to take the plunge and scheduled an appointment. I am so glad that I did. Becca takes the time to do a good consultation before cutting. She is well trained in hair cutting as she trained at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. The scalp massage prior to shampooing is wonderful and you know you have a great cut when you can actually go home and style your hair on your own! The salon does not reek of hair chemicals as she uses natural hair care products. It is a small salon, and it is relaxing to be there because it is not full of other stylists and customers carrying on multiple conversations. My whole visit was great and I am looking forward to my next appointment in four weeks!

She gave me a tremendously awesome scalp massage that lasted several minutes. I wanted her to not stop. Then had a quick wash and condition. She decided to cut with thinning shears instead of regular scissors or a razor. The cut came out great. Really like it. I can see my face again! Lastly, I had no hassle whatsoever returning one of the Kevin Murphy products I purchased back in February. I did not like it and they were really cool about that.

I drove 45 minutes away and I showed up to the appointment on time, but there was a note on her front door stating she needed to reschedule her appointments for today. I sent her a text and no reply. I truly understand if you are sick or have a family emergency as to why you need to cancel, but for her not to even try calling or texting stating "hey sorry for the inconvenience but...I need to cancel" before customers show up is quite honestly the most disrespectful thing. Customers don't deserve a heads up apparently, so because of this I will never be back. Leaving a note on the door and ghosting a client is beyond rude!
