While in the chair I tried to confirm that she was adding layers and she said she was. After being out of the salon I called back and asked for it to be fixed. She stated that I should wear it out a while longer and get back to her if I still wasn't liking it. She also offered a 30% off coupon on her service which I mentioned but didn't receive. I had to get my hair fixed at a different salon.

I've only been to the Garage Salon once, so keep that in mind…read more I had a 9 am appointment and was offered coffee upon arrival - a nice touch. I did have to wait a bit for my stylist, which seemed odd - running late by 9 am when the salon is almost empty? Odd. The wait wasn't too bad though, since it's a nice environment to be in. Otherwise, Annie was gracious and easy to work with. I'm not super thrilled with my cut, but I think that's due in large part to my own mis-instruction. (I asked for a trim and then realized after the fact that I wanted a cut.) So, it's definitely pricier than some other options in the area, but not as pricey as the same experience would be in a larger city. I would visit again since I'm not convinced that the low points of my experience would be repeated.

The salon is decorated very nicely and they use and sell eco-friendly products. A big plus for me after having been through breast cancer treatments last year! The place is brand new and had plenty of space to move with lots of pedi & mani stations. The atmosphere was spa like with soft relaxing music and pretty quiet. This place actually smelled good and didn't have that awful harsh acetone smell like most salons have which was a huge benefit! All of the staff was super welcoming and nice. Vi was running a little behind from her previous client so instead of having me sit there and wait, she had her coworker begin removing my old manicure until she finished up. She was super friendly, precise and took her time. It took a total of 75 mins. I would highly recommend her! The only downfall to this place is that they don't have massage chairs while getting a pedicure but instead of have large comfy chairs and they are a bit pricier than other places. $55 - dip manicure $10 - nail polish removal Overall the experience was great and I will definitely be coming back!!
