For me, this place is conveniently located for a guilty pub lunch during working hours as it's right opposite where I work.
It's a small, cosy and friendly pub, chilled in the daytime and lively at night. They do cracking homemade burgers (including lamb), as well as all the usual pub grub regulars that go down well with a pint (or two).
The prices are very reasonable, with most meals under a fiver, and if you eat between 12pm 2.30pm Monday to Friday you get a free soft drink with your lunch. You can gorge on a Sunday roast for just £6.95 too, so it's definitely worth a visit.
Me and my bloke had lunch in there today, and after ordering and sitting for about 15 minutes we turned to see the chef bursting through the door and scurrying upstairs to the kitchen! Luckily, our food was ready in minutes after she arrived so they must have a herd of hard working kitchen elves up there or something.
The Jury puts on regular nights, from quizzes, live music and DJ sets, and they even have a loyalty card where you get your sixth pint free if you get stamps for your first five. Bonus! read more
