Museum

Such a cute place to take kids. The most exciting part was walking through the aloe garden and running into a huge friendly tortoise. Parking fee was $10 They have a cool museum filled with fossils, crystals and tribal artifacts

This place is awesome! Such a hidden gem! Everyone was so helpful, informative and kind. They brought out several animals for my kids to learn about and touch. They even let the kids take pics with the coolest lizard, Norbert! They seem to really care about their animals. We will be sharing this place with friends and family and we will be coming back soon!

We hadn't been here in a few years and wow! It has really improved! There's a nice small museum with fossils. They are probably many replicas, but this didn't matter to my dino obsessed child. We took a tour, which was funny because it visited a number of dinosaur statues in a variety of styles, and learned a lot of fun dinosaur facts. And the end, there's a fossil dig, which is a big patch of gravel where they have sprinkled a number of small fossils and semiprecious stones. You get to collect 12. This was such a a fun activity for the kids, and me. I had a ton of fun. Obviously this place is not the Smithsonian, but they have done so much with limited resources and created a truly fun family experience. We also enjoyed the tortoises and the reptile/ invertebrate collection, and the gift shop has lots of nice thibgs for anyone into fossils, rocks and minerals. The nursery also looked nice, but by the end we had spent a lot of time and didn't have time to browse. This is a very fun stop, and I highly recommend it.

We had a great time here. I brought my nephew and my daughter, and they were able to see tortoises and touch a variety of reptiles. There was a volunteer in the museum named Otie & he was great at educating my nephew and getting him excited about fossils & rocks. Great staff & a fun activity for littles!

Bloom, bloom, bloom! SO much color in the cacti garden! Aloes are beautifully bloomed!!! I started on the left side and walked up then meandered down to the herb garden. Watch out for the dinos at the top!! And "yaaas" there is also a museum, not to be missed! Parking super on the cheap and there is plenty of parking spaces in two different spots. This is a great place for a picnic. Plenty of shaded areas to lounge at. I appreciated the numerous benches throughout.

Gallery

Somewhat boring which was dissatisfying. I loved the shop and gallery they have! But it is a lot of dirt and they have the dinosaurs blocked off so there was really no point in going. Said they had a bingo night coming up but didn't know anything about the details when I asked :/ might return! Also all of their "gardens" are dead and closed and locked. Be prepared to be warm, outside walking and in the dirt

Dino's

Just take your own water - it's quite a little hike especially in the sun . Nice old fashioned place , great for families.

We had an absolutely great time here this morning!! It was hot but bearable. The museum was amazing and we learned a bunch! We did the Dinosaur tour. I'm pretty sure our tour guide's name was Julia but she was a real archaeologist and taught us a lot about dinosaurs and things the movies get wrong. She was kind, entertaining, and informative, an expert in her field. She even put together some of the museum exhibits. I would definitely go back! The rock dig at the end was way more fun than I expected and I sat down and dug right along side the kiddos.

Such a fun place to explore and take kids! The variety of cacti and succulents is amazing, they also sell unique varieties I haven't found elsewhere. Not to mention extremely affordable. Always great to support places like this, the staff here is wonderful, informative and helpful! It does get extremely hot here, best is going during the winter.

Mr. Mark was a great tour guide. Super cool and very educational for the kiddos. Thank you Mr. M

Great place for kids to learn about dinosaurs and have a day outside. The store is small but very interesting with lots of turtles.

I remember as a kid this place had a different name i believe it was Jurupa Cultural Center if I'm not mistaken why was the name changed? Was it sold? New owners? I'm just curious.

Are dogs allowed?

I visited as a child in school and remembered that they had a work shop were we got some kind of she'll fossil was wondering if they still did that and if so how does it work wanted to take my kids?

That sounds like Fossil Shack. Call our office to see when it will be offered.

I've been to the RAM many times and it's a small art museum in Downtown Riverside. The Cheech…read moreMuseum is one stop light up and a larger museum. If you purchase a ticket to the Cheech, the RAM is included in your ticket price, or if you start at the RAM, the Cheech will be included that day. I came to the RAM this time around, specifically, for the 60 Miles East exhibit. This exhibit ends on 4/12, so make sure to swing by before then if you want to catch it. The exhibit contained many flyers, pictures, art, and even ticket stubs that brought me back to my childhood. It was in a clean and open space that made the experience enjoyable. This exhibit takes up only one room and there are other spaces to check out for additional art exhibits. I did notice less art, this time around, than in previous visits and many open spaces/walls were not taken up. Overall, I'm glad I got to enjoy this exhibit, before it ends, and it really highlights the Inland Empire's music scene as an important piece of diverse culture. Enjoy!

But when they announced the 60 Miles East Punk Rock in Riverside exhibition, I knew I wasn't going to miss it. The Riverside Art Museum was originally built in 1929 as a YWCA before being bought and turned into what it is now. You walk in and admission is right there. I went on Veterans Day so I got in free. Otherwise combo tickets that get you into the Cheech the same day cost $15.95. A good deal! The 60 Miles East exhibition is in a giant room filled with flyers, posters and clothing from bands and places all over the Inland Empire. It was super cool but made me a bit sad inside because I'd been to the Showcase Theatre on many occasions and still miss it. They also have art in another part of the gallery including a Shepard Fairley original. I wasn't expecting that! Overall the Riverside Art Museum is a place I'd for sure recommend. It's not real big but since you can go to the Cheech on the same day with your ticket, it's worth the admission cost. 60 Miles East runs to mid April so don't miss it! Support the arts!

Upon entering you pay $18 per adult, $10 per child and toddlers are free. They had a scavenger hunt going on for the kids so that was super exciting. You really need several hours to go through everything because it's so interesting and there's so much information to take in. The upstairs area was closed and the events hall was also closed for an event. The employees were so nice and even gave us clues about the scavenger hunt. There's lots of cool places for photos and a coloring section inside the NASA area. We got candies in the 25 cent machines, dropped coins in the donation funnel and bought toys at the gift shop. We turned in our finished scavenger hunt and got slinkies. Outside there's a massive exhibit of different aircrafts used in different wars from all around the world. There's a radio museum outside as well. Overall we had such an amazing time. What a great way to learn. I highly recommend it to anyone.

When half of the class was trying to go in the man that was in charge at the moment we went in started screaming at all students to get out! This happened around 12:30. I did not see the reason for him to scream at the students. I was very disappointed at that way this gentleman behave. Our students were so heart broken that they couldn't buy anything to take home. Way to go Sir.
