This little place that is stuck on the side street to Øresundsvej is an alternative to the already popular WOGK in the area. They serve more or less the same concept with "mix-your-own-brunch" thing, something that is now spreading out to most trendy cafes in downtown.
I came here on Saturday at 10 when it was just starting to get crowded. By the time we left the cafe at around noon, the place was super crowded, so come early for your brunch!
The location: The inside of the cafe is nice and spacious but if the sun's out, then probably it's better to sit outside on their large terrace out in the sun.
The food: It was alright, they have most of the usual fare most brunch cafes have but their bacon was one of my favourites. It's not those thin bacon from supermarkets like sold in other brunch cafes, this is the real deal. The egg was a bit salty, but my favourite was the sweet potato with corn puree on the side. It was good!
The service: Sweet and nice, but we had to wait for the food for quite awhile. I even had to wait for my coffee :( but that's because they were understaffed. Whoever the owner is, you need to staff the place more on busy weekends! I guess they don't really expect this place to be super popular now.
To sum it up: A good alternative for brunching in the hood, even closer to the beach. read more
