I had passed here several times earlier this winter and seen that something coffee-related was opening soon. So I was glad to discover that Coffee Sweden had finally opened on one of my strolls through old-fashioned Fiolstræde. The name Coffee Sweden, suits it nicely, seeing as the baristas and waiters are, in fact, Swedish. The menu isn't very Swedish, though, so that might be misleading. The music is kinda loud and very funkeh, disco-style. Not Swedish disco.. Decoration-wise, it has a lot og dark wood and soft leather chairs, giving it a kinda living room-like atmosphere. So fresh and so cle-clean. Set in my ways as I am, I ordered a cortado and a chocolate cookie. The coffee was just a tad too "burned", so it might have been running through the bayonet too long. The cookie was moist and delicious, with yummy chocolate chunks. With free wi-fi, a nice atmosphere and friendly staff, this could be a new regular study hang-out for me. They also have a very good looking selection of cakes that just begs to be tried out.

Speaking of design and comfort, I liked the idea to move living room sofa and arm chair outside. How cozy is that! If you sit there and talk, watch ppl, feel the breeze .... how many cafes do that? We had great time here and I'm sure I will be back for nice, strong coffee and this time for food too. Thank you for reading this and don't forget, life is tasty! ;)

Eating here really exceeded our expectations and was the beginning of an amazing food journey through the city. We all really wanted to try their sandwiches so we were pretty disappointed that they weren't serving it because it was too early (sign said they were served all day and it was only 10 am...) Instead I ordered a cappuccino and the açaí bowl. I had pretty low expectations because coming from LA, I've had a lot of delicious açaí bowls. But honestly, this was probably the best I've ever had and the portions were huge for the price. The açaí was the perfect balance of tart and sweet - but not overly sweet. And I loved the different granola and oats they had on top. The bananas were so tiny it was just so cute!!
