    Indominus Rex Head

False advertising! This was held at the Portland International Racetrack and I expected it to be ON the racetrack like the annual Christmas drive thru. The event was in the parking lot. :( We waited nearly 2 hours to start "the track". Dinosaurs faced AWAY from the line. WHY? There was a group of dinosaurs roasting a smaller dinosaur on a spit. Um, how did the dinosaurs put the dino on the stick, start a fire, and then turn the spit? Oh, then there is the "indominus rex head" yes that's what the sign states. We weren't the only ones in the car line to be disappointed once we realized how short and sad this show was. The ads said "Interact with 50 Giant Dinosaurs, Get up close and see the voracious Velociraptors, the massive ferocious Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the soaring Pterodactyl!!!" Giant??? No Massive ferocious T-Rex? Nope Soaring Pterodactyl? See the photo Please don't make the high cost of my family's admission go to waste. Use my mistake to save yourself both time and money!

Jurassic Empire in Denver was overpriced (71.00) for a lame experience. It took about 15 minutes.

This was a very disappointing and expensive exhibit. It looked thrown together, no trees or anything to set the tone. Visuals, blah.

If I could give this zero stars, I would!! This was horrible. The entry for one car was $69 plus a $4.95 convenience fee. The dinosaurs were set up in a line in the parking lot. They were old and some were torn and broken. Very unrealistic. Fortunately my 4 & 3 years grandsons didn't know the difference. We opted for the $27 plus $2.95 convenience fee Dino surprise pack for each. They had three dollar store toys in a plastic bag. We could have definitely spent $135.15 in a much better way. The whole experience took about 10 minutes to drive through.

"premier" picture quality and sound for the documentary, right next to a leaky roof with a garbage can to capture the water.

Free community event "exhibits" and activities at theme park prices. Pretty much paid $100 to have my nephews and niece bounce in a bounce house for thirty minutes. They use volunteers to staff their events, so no on-site accountability. Felt bad for the volunteer folks cause people were unhappy but no company recourse (the signage explicitly says "no refunds" at the door, before guests saw the lackluster experience they were selling; should have been a warning sign.) They also had a shady time share salesperson ambush visitors at the entrance for personal information, another shady practice. These organizers must have gone to the same event coordinating seminars as the Fyre Festival guy. Avoid avoid avoid wherever they pitch their ratty, shady tents.

Don't blink, you'll miss most of it. Advertisement for this was deceiving. Wish I would have read reviews for this before. NOT WORTH what they're charging. It should be one set price regardless of the vehicle size. This was worth $20, and that's being generous. So happy we didn't buy the surprise goodie bags.

I think this was WAY overpriced. I'll start with the "mystery bag" for over 30 dollars. It contained a cheap stuffed dinosaur (probably 3 dollars, a small DRAGON stuffed animal, and a really cheap flimsy toy I guess. I mean seriously it was prob worth 5 bucks for the bag. And it was thrown in a black plastic disposable bag. Very deceiving. As for the exhibit. The dinosaurs were ok. My 3 year old thought most of them were cool. There are a few broken and just really strange. Like really odd (one was on a rotisserie like being cooked?) I would never have spent almost 100 bucks for this. Was expecting the bag to be way better for 32 bucks at least. Oh well. Kid seemed to think it was cool (he's only 3 and doesn't really know any better, but did point our one broken).

Looked like a fake dinosaur with used rabbit fur coat draped over it...

The first thing you'll notice is that they updated the exterior of the building and it's pretty tastefully done. But then you go inside and you wonder if the interior designer was a kindergartner. It looks terrible and cheap. I was there on a Groupon for go karts. Walking out to the track there were multiple items that you can tell were purchased/there for another revenue stream. Bounce house and trampoline trailer. It felt like a throw money at a few things but not execute anything well and hope to make money kind of operation. Once I made it to the go karts, it struck me that there were no go karts running on the track but there was a line of around 20 or so people. The grass hadn't been mowed anywhere and weeds were growing through and over the concrete everywhere. So the line was there and so was I. For an hour. I stood in line for almost an hour while the track was empty. Once the line started moving, an hour in, there was a group of kids in line that weren't the height and probably not the age of the sign presumably left by the previous owners of the business as a rule to go on the ride. The operator let them ride ahead of me. Thankfully. The kids were hitting each other, the sides, out of their seat belts, and other shenanigans. Of course they did. They were kids allowed to ride go karts alone. It's on the operator to enforce. Not the kids to do right. The kicker for me was the guy on the side welding something in the wide open with no cover or shade from customers looking at him work (very bad). I can't see going here ever again. Even with the Groupon I felt robbed. Terrible experience really. I saw one kid employee trying his best and realizing the situation for what it was in frustration. I felt for him. As bad as it was for customers I can only imagine how exponentially worse it was to be a non-family member employee. 0/10 would not recommend

Quizzically, I asked, "Who?" Then, excitedly, she said, "Oh! We're going!!" You will be able to spot the storefront because of Silvio's green, white and red painted car parked out front. You can park in front or back, either way, Silvio will cheerfully greet you and proceed to take you on a tour ($5 donation suggested) of his store--which is filled with his personal history (he's a WWII refugee from Naples, Italy)-- and sculpture garden. Be prepared to hear lots of stories, mostly personal, some social and mostly cultural and the importance of art, literature, morals and the connections between Italy and America. He is warm, endearing, funny, and opinionated. The gated sculpture garden lies behind the store. All of the pieces were painstakingly made by him, all concrete adorned with marble, stones, shells, and other artifacts. Most will tower over you too. It's a lot to take in and absorb: tributes to Detroit, NYC, artists, social figures, writers, etc. I asked him how long it generally takes him to make one piece and he said about a year to two years. EACH. I was amazed at his dedication and the intricacies of each piece. He is definitely a folk artist and Metro Detroit icon. Keep on, keeping on, Silvio! And thank you for the tour. Just go there already. Capice? PS- I agree with Mary: someone needs to do a documentary on Silvio.
