That's a total of $145 for the first visit, which is about $20 a day. Other places I've been to charge around $30 for five days or at most $70 a week, so this pricing feels unreasonable and not sustainable. I asked the woman at the counter (wearing glasses with strings attached) about the cost, and she brushed it off, saying, "Well, the consult fee is $15, we have to make a living somehow." When we asked her for instructions on how to prepare and take the herbs, she was impatient and dismissive. I asked how many times a day to drink the medicine, and she said "two" while pointing at a paper on the counter, telling me to "just take a picture and follow the instructions." But when I looked at the paper, it didn't include that information. I told her this, and instead of clarifying, she replied in an annoyed tone, "Well, I just told you, no?" I then had to ask her other info that were missing such as how much water to use, or whether to take them before or after meals. Between the high cost, lack of clear guidance, and poor attitude, I felt like I was scammed and left very disappointed.

During this time, I visited a local acupuncturist who healed me and regained my confidence that everything was going to be okay, which became reality. Since then, I have been a firm believer in the practice of acupuncture and the benefits that it can provide. Within the past couple weeks, I overstressed my nervous system again and started to feel symptoms similar to five years ago. In fear that I would be left debilitated again, I began looking for an acupuncture clinic nearby me. I found Lao Lao acupuncture on Yelp, and contacted Dr. Sarah over the phone and explained my symptoms even after their closing hours. We scheduled an appointment for the following day, where I met Dr. Sarah and Dr. Deborah who were very professional and spent half an hour pinpointing locations that I had issues with. During this period, Dr. Sarah treated my neck which led to a burst of tears, not from pain but from relief. I'm not sure if they realized at the time, but they continued the treatment and after putting in the last needle, I felt a HUGE wave of emotions that I've bottled over the years from fear and I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. The whole session was extremely therapeutic and cleansing, and since then my nerve pain has subsided and has become more manageable. I was lost for words and trying to explain how thankful I was led to more crying. Dr. Deborah gave me a hug, sat me down and soothed my back, and relieved a critical point of stress. I can say with 100% confidence that not only are Dr. Sarah and Dr. Deborah complete professionals but also very caring and compassionate for their patients. I plan to keep going for treatment, and I highly recommend anyone skeptical of acupuncture or looking to treat their pain to give them a shot. Thank you so much!!

From the very beginning, Dr. Huang has been incredibly attentive, always asking thoughtful questions about my progress and genuinely caring about my well-being. You can tell he's highly experienced and truly passionate about what he does. I first started seeing him when I found out I was pregnant. Acupuncture helped me tremendously throughout the pregnancy--reducing swelling, relieving back pain, improving sleep, and even helping with constipation (a common and frustrating issue during pregnancy). Emotionally, I felt much more balanced, which I know made a big difference for both me and my baby. When I learned I had to be induced early, he supported me through that process as well. Postpartum, he's continued to help me--especially with emotional regulation, sleep, and overall recovery. During one visit, he even gave me ear magnets to help me relax, which I really appreciated. He's also very flexible with scheduling, and it's easy to see how much he wants his patients to succeed. I believe so much in the benefits that I even convinced my husband to start seeing him--because honestly, I think everyone can benefit from getting their meridian lines balanced, even if you don't know much about acupuncture (like me!). It just works. Another huge plus: he works with insurance and is very prompt about filing claims, which makes everything easier. I'm truly grateful for his care and can't recommend him enough!

Hwang Family Chiropractic is the best chiropractic facility that I've ever been to, and Dr. Hwang is the best chiropractic doctor that has ever treated me - bar none! Dr. Hwang has heavily invested in his practice in terms of the latest equipment and tools to help his patients recover. I was beyond impressed to see that he has many rooms in the facility and each room has specialized equipment to diagnose and treat his patients for a myriad of ailments. He has top of the line equipment such as a spinal decompressor machine, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy machines, and much more. I was also impressed by the Dr. Hwang because he really cares about his patients. He read through all of my MRI reports and took the time to explain all of the issues that I had and how his treatments were going to cure the issues that I was having before administering any treatment. This instilled confidence in me as a patient that he knew exactly what was going on and how his treatments were going to specifically help cure my ailments. Moreover, it was an absolute pleasure working with Dr. Hwang. He is extremely friendly and down to earth. He is very welcoming, humble, and a smart guy. He told me a story of how he graduated from UC Berkeley and was an engineer by trade, but he decided to get into the chiropractic field originally because his mom had health issues, so he studied the chiropractic field and helped cure his mom himself. He truly has a passion for wanting to help his patients get healed, and since I've started receiving treatments from Dr. Hwang, the difference has been night and day. Unfortunately, I got into a serious car accident 5 months ago, and as a result, it caused a lot of strain and discomfort in my left middle trapezius area, and in some instances, it was so uncomfortable that I had trouble sleeping. I wish I was able to get the full course of treatments from Dr. Hwang, but as I was on lien treatments, I wasn't able to continue, but when I get the opportunity in the future, I'll definitely come back to get further treatments from Dr. Hwang.
