I wouldn't recommend for kids younger than 4 simply because there were some times when the water was a bit choppy.

Some different friends who also Disc Golf had said it was one of the best courses around so I finally felt the urge to make it up there. The open a little early which is nice too. Entering the park is impressive in itself. There are so mnay things going on from a large lake spanning waterpark, wildlife all over, a BMX park that's a good size, and of course, the disc course. The things some had said that was obvious immediately, is that the place had far more rolling hills than any park or place in South Florida. I started off at the top of a hill and had to through down to the bottom of the hill. There were shots later where I had to throw over a pond and up a hill. From the elevation changes to the great forest and water holes, it really was worth the drive. Heck, I've been back 2 more times this month already.

During the COVID lockdown, walking the trails became my favorite pastime. Especially as a pregnant woman looking for peace and fresh air, lol. Years later, those same trails are still a favorite activity for my son and me. More recently, I've taken up disc golf and was excited to find out the group I joined regularly plays at the Okeeheelee course. It's been such a fun and engaging experience! Just yesterday, I attended a picnic at one of the park's pavilions, and it was wonderful. The swings and playground next to the pavilion made it perfect for a family-friendly event. The space provided plenty of seating and shade, so everyone could enjoy themselves without being overwhelmed by the heat. There's still so much of this park I haven't explored yet, and I genuinely look forward to continuing to visit for years to come.

You'll be treated like a valued customers and have the best time fishing in the most beautiful water. we spoke with the owner the day before who said that the weather was not very good but that he would call us the following morning, at 7 AM, after he personally checked the weather and calmness of the sea to confirm that it would be a a nice day to go out. sure enough, at 7 AM on sunday morning we received a call that the weather and seas were great and we then headed out for the best half day of fishing that anyone has ever had: 1. the captain and mate were super friends, knowledgable, and a great conversation but really allowed our group of 4 as much privacy to have our own conversations as possible. 2. the rods and tackle provided were in excellent working order and the boat was extremely clean for a fishing boat. i have been on many private charters in my day and this was a very pleasant surprise as many boats have smelly and old tackle that really just doesn't work properly. everything on this boat was great. 3. we absolutely killed it. in half a day we caught two sharks, 2 dolphin, a 45 pound king fish, and about 25 snapper among other fish. you could not have asked for a better day of fishing i definitely recommend this boat and will be a customer again

We hopped in the car to make it to Phil Foster an hour and a half before high tide on a Saturday…read moremorning, and by that time all car parking was full, but PRO TIP: when regular car parking is full, you can park in boat parking without penalty ; two cars at a time can fit back to back in the boat spots, and the police will not ticket you. At high tide on weekends, they end up closing the entire lot, so every single spot is eventually filled- take the spot! So we actually parked very close to the main snorkeling and covered area by parking in the nearest boat parking rather than in a really far away car spot. It worked out in our favor! Under the bridge in the shady spots, parents were lined up with all day supplies on the sand and kids were wading in the shallow, shaded areas- this is the perfect little kid swim spot. THere was still plenty of room to lay down our stuff. We brought all of our snorkeling gear, plus a boogie board. We swam out to snorkel, but having the boogie board feels good for tired children who need a rest who can hang on this instead of me, plus many times my kids want to free dive without their snorkel, or swim out without flippers first, so we can store some minor gear on this temporarily. We saw an eel, many beautiful fish, and it was fun to swim with others around us who were all helping to point various sea creatures hiding in the rocks and underwater structures. If you haven't snorkeled here, please do soon. You don't need anything serious, you don't even need flippers, you can see amazing things with just goggles actually- and make sure you arrive 1.5 hours before high tide, maybe more time on a weekend day for parking sake, since the lot fills up with people scuba diving here. Can't wait to return soon!

I have been fishing my entire life and this trip was hands down the most fun I have ever had fishing. The first day he put us on the deep drop in 1,000+ feet of water, where we slayed the Yellow Eye Snapper, which produce amazing white flaky filets. That night we had a fish fry at the resort along with some cold Kaliks. The next morning we were up at dawn catching live bait for our offshore adventure. We ran out to 2,500+ ft of water where we were chasing the Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna. We were reeling them in left and right. Wes told us we would catch Yellowfin before we left the dock and he delivered. We also caught some monster Mahi's. At one point we were all three hooked up on big fish at the same time, and I remembered thinking now "I know where the name Reel Intense came from." Another fish fry that night with the addition of the most amazing Yellowfin sashimi. The third day we did some spear fishing and speared some Hog Snapper, another one of my favorites. We finished up with another deep drop, which produced a bunch of Queen Snappers. It was a perfect trip. I would highly recommend Reel Intense Fishing Charters. This is a cute park in the Historic College Park District of Lake Worth. It is on the south side of…read morea canal that separates West Palm Beach and Lake Worth. The park was built in 1987 by the South Florida Water Management District which owns it. It has long been a popular place to fish for snook where the water flows through the spillway gates. In 2011 grills, picnic tables, and a path were added to the park. Funds for the project were raised by the neighborhood and from a partnership with the Lake Worth Public Services Department. In 2017 The South Florida Water Management District added a new fence to make it safer to fish. In addition to fishing there is a large lawn that seems popular with people looking to exercise their dogs. The water attracts a lot of birds and lizards make it a nice place to nature watch and take photos.
