These folks are awesome and I feel so fortunate that I came upon their online ad!…read more I was in a position I did not anticipate after digging out a few very large flower beds in my yard. May not sound like much, but two 6 x 10 foot beds each 1 foot deep produced tons of dirt in weight and at least 4 cubic yards of volume. My truck can safely haul about 1/2 of a cubic yard (due to the weight) so to give you an idea that is about 8-10 pick up loads of dirt. It would have taken me days to load my truck by hand to only then shovel it out by hand if I could find a place to dump it! So, hauling it myself wasn't an option. By the way, the county landfill (Chesterfield) doesn't allow you to bring in dirt. You need to work with someone who can dump at a commercial only landfill. On the Spot Hauling run by Diamond and Chris were the only folks who actually committed and showed up to do the work. I spoke to five other companies including one who swore he could do the work and did show up early in the morning on a Sunday in a small vehicle with a trailer he used to collect leaves only to take pictures, tell me he has a "buddy" who can bring in a front end loader and a dump truck and quoted me a crazy price. He had to go away empty handed. Chris and I reviewed the work one more time on the phone afterwards and he came that same day - a Sunday- ready to work. We had a ballpark price based on pictures and my description. Nothing changed, he was true to his quoted price for the work. We did make an adjustment for his dump fee (its not cheap to get rid of dirt in comparison, for example, just household garbage) which he had told me on the phone was the only variable he didn't know until he got here and we started loading his trailer. Chris, Diamond and Carlos worked over two days - Sunday all afternoon and Monday all morning- to load their very large dump trailer and clean up around the area I orginally placed the dirt in my driveway. They used shovels and also had a machine to help move the dirt into the trailer but that was on rubber tracks and did no damage to my driveway or yard. They worked safely, swiftly and with purpose. Their interactions with myself and my wife were very professional. After they left, I quickly power washed my driveway in the afternoon and it was like nothing was ever there! I definately recommend Diamond Chris and On The Spot Hauling and will be calling upon them again for other work. I encourage you to do the same!

Five Stars and More!…read more Recently my grandfather passed away. It was a sad and trying time. Everything involved fell onto my shoulders (not complaining, just explaining) and I found it really hard to deal with. Here I was in Florida trying to run my business, take care of my family and several members if the family were down with Covid. And then my grandfather passes away all the way up in Virginia and all I can take off is two days because it's nearly impossible to find employees we are short staffed. Again, not complaining just explaining. So I called in advance to several companies that do junk removal near Richmond Virginia. I was explaining I needed to fly in... Make arrangements to transport Grandfather back home. And then go through and sort everything in the home into four groups. Three stacks were items to send to relatives and the last stack was going to be items to donate to charity or be disposed of. I said I would need someone there who could assist me with tagging and sorting... and then the next day they could haul things away. Most companies did not even bother to answer their phones or call me back. Others said it was too complicated. Still others jumped right to a huge price. I was stressed to the point of losing it. Then I spoke to William (Billy...) at Get My Junk... He said he was tied up with another job on the morning in question (It happens and I understand) but he suggested I simply put colored post it notes on it and that later that day he would come and physically sort it out for me. And that's exactly what he did. That day and the next he grouped everything for each colored post it into a separate area of the home (close to the entrances)... and then took the items I wanted to dispose of and separated them into two stacks. The first stack was items that I could donate to charities and the other stack (My grandfather was a bit of a hoarder - but not too bad) would be taken to the local recycling center and dump. Once it was all separated his crew came in and not only took the items to the charity and recycling centers... but also helped crate up the items that needed to be shipped to my family members. Then a friend of Billy's in the shipping business came by and picked up the crates and off they went. Billy and his crew accomplished in a day and a half what it would have taken me a month to do (even if I had a truck). They were nice, polite, friendly, fast, on-time and the price was absolutely fair. They could have tried jacking up the price because they knew I did not have time to find another company. They didn't. These guys are honest and I recommend them to those of you who need honest help in disposing of items you no longer need. (Two thumbs up!)
