For a business owner to respond this unprofessionally to an honest review speaks volume about the type of business this is. When Jaime came, before he did any work, he was told to look at everything and ensure that he could do what we needed him to do for the agreed upon price. This is beyond the text exchanges. We even told him: now that you've seen everything in person, don't do any work or touch anything if you can't do it for the agreed upon price. He said ok, I can do it for the agreed upon price. This included dismantling kitchen cabinets. Not some dangerous work as he claims. Another demo guy dismantled all the kitchen cabinets without any damage to the floors in 30 minutes!! It's only after having started the work, that Jaime started with the excuses to extract more money. If you can't do the work, tell customers straight up. Not once you've started, trying to extract more money. Completely dishonest and unprofessional. Also, to claim that this work is dangerous is funny. Since when is dismantling kitchen countertop and cabinets is dangerous? It's basic demo work. Another company did it in 30 minutes without any drama, complaints or surcharges. I'm a new homeowner and decided to remodel my kitchen and bathroom. In order to update my kitchen I needed to demo to the studs and eventually have an engineer / contractor remove a wall between the living room and kitchen to create that "open kitchen" look. I contacted Jamie about the demo job on my kitchen and bathroom and he was able to give me a competitive quote (about $300 less) but most importantly he was able to start 3 days later. As I was in a bit of a rush I decided to go with him. I made the mistake of 1) not marking the walls with a sharpie while he was there and 2) not being there to oversee the work. I assumed that since he portrays himself as a "professional business with employees and experience since 2011" he'd know what he's doing. Also he never sent me an invoice in advance instead stating he would give me one once the work was done which should have been a red flag to me. Lesson learned. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Notice something wrong? AN ENTIRE SECTION of wall was not demo'd!!! I made it very clear to him what I was doing and for some reason he thought I'd leave a section of wall and pocket door for an open concept kitchen. When he suspiciously competed the work a few hours early and asked me to send him payment electronically (Zelle no less) so he could leave I asked him to send me photos. He sent me the photos and I thought it was a joke. When I realized he was serious I asked him why he expected full payment for an incomplete job he accused me of trying to "get additional work from him for free". Seriously?! He demo'd too far to the bathroom and not enough in the kitchen then blames ME for not being clear enough then threatened me by demanding full payment and stating that I "wouldn't want to see him upset". Ultimately he refused to complete the job as agreed and left me hanging for the rest of the demo which I had to do myself. The rest of the job was completed as agreed with the exception of the floors which he removed the tiles BUT did not remove the remaining adhesive or the linoleum underneath. Obviously I'm not going to lay new tile over the remaining adhesive and linoleum but of course these guys aren't too smart so that's something else I'll have to address when the times comes. Lesson learned. If you need simple basic labor or someone to throw away trash and haul stuff away go with them. If you need to prep for construction DONT USE THESE GUYS. read more
