As a woman I've been wanting them done for years but I really wanted another woman to do this piercing. I'm so glad that I held out! Jessie was friendly but professional and seriously did an incredible job! In such a short time they honestly look like they are already healed. I've been following her instructions (I wish I could put this in bold seriously please listen to your piercers/tat artists about after care). The first two days they were pretty tender but surprisingly not as bad as I was expecting. Now, they honestly look like they are already healed and I barely have any soreness. I'm already starting to forget they are even there! I really dig the look and vibe of the whole studio. It looks awesome and is very clean. LOVE that you can make appointments online. I had zero issues.d Jessie is for sure my go to piercer now! Also, thanks to Jessie and after seeing the place in person I'm definitely going to stalk the tattoo artists schedules and try to get some ink in the future.

This review really only reflects basic piercings since that's all I got done BUT I chose King Cobra…read moreover other local spots because they had the best reviews for everything overall! My experience with piercing shops/tattoo parlors is limited exclusively to Claire's as a child, so I wasn't sure what to expect and have always been a little intimated by those places because I'm not what I'd consider "cool" (lol). I had my original lobe piercings done at claire's and have always had issues with those piercings and decided if I ever wanted more, I'd go somewhere more professional. Hence the search for a place in State College... I suspected a lot of places would overcharge because it's a college town so I did a lot of googling, reading reviews, and asking friends for suggestions either way. I have a few friends who've gone to the other shop in town for piercings and were happy with it, but when I looked at some of the reviews I was more hesitant. I'm a weenie about this stuff and really wanted to get my lobes pierced again (new spot) and prefer not having weird issues with prices not being disclosed up front and uncomfortable/unwelcoming vibes. I ultimately decided on King Cobra because of the reviews, but when I stopped in today just to get a feel for their vibes and ask about pricing, they were super nice and answered all my questions about the cost and pain. Even though it was mostly an exploratory visit for info, they offered to fit me in then and there so I just went for it! I paid $60 total for the two lobes, jewelry cost included. I've been wanting these second piercings for a while and since it's spring break, I figured I may as well treat myself. Jake was very friendly, clean/hygienic and everything you'd hope from someone doing piercings. The actual piercing was much better than I thought it would be, very little pain and didn't take long at all. He explained the aftercare and also gave a printout of the directions. I am very very happy with the piercings and will probably go back to get the third lobe piercing once these have healed a little bit (and I can save up lol).

Before he "finished" you could literally see the tattoo underneath. Church is horrible and is now is costing me thousands just to get this horrid thing removed.

I I had a very strange experience here with Church. I saw one of his instagram posts saying…read more"custom scripts available" so I decided to get a consultation with him. During consultation: I gave him a few inspo pics. Specified the styles I like and what I liked about each inspo photo for his reference and I gave guidelines on size, proportions, and positioning. Day of my appointment: He presents the work and it was literally an inspo pic I sent him just resized. I pondered the point of our consultation prior and found it to be pretty insulting but I kept it pushing. We, or I, decided on a new design and we tweaked the size a few times. (In hindsight I should have tweaked it more because I couldn't see at the time that the middle numbers were slanted and not lined up well & the spacing would have looked better but was not trying to waste more time on an actual original idea that wasn't copy and pasted. Here's a timeline of my appointment: Arrive 10:30 Meet artist @10:45 *Consultation-redesign* Ink start: 12:20 (outline) "Lunch" Break: 12:45 (he steps out) Start Filling: 1:20 Halfway break: 2:30 Resume filling 2:45 Break 3:50 Final touches:4:20 Finish : 4:30 Rate $200/Hr Mind you, my tattoo is of only 4 numbers. I know this situation is embarrassing but I'm addressing my experience because it almost felt like I was doing Church a favor by giving him something to do on a Friday rather than coming in and being treated as a client. I conceived the notion that he took his time during the WHOLE process just to get paid more which, if that's the case, I lose all respect for him. I'm not sure if he was really listening to understand my vision during the consultation but the appointment had a bad start but I persisted and wanted to see it through to completion since I'm already there and have a decent 30 minute commute to from home. People concern over gas prices nowadays. My personal experience with Churchg was quite a drag and disappointing so I rate that a 3/10 If I had to rate the end result of the tattoo alone, it would be around a 6/10. I notice things that others wouldn't instinctively notice but it still isn't up to my liking sadly so I'm looking at laser removal treatment or even just by myself a machine for when these things happen. I know I definitely didn't need to pay $1100 for 4 numbers, 2 of the middle numbers being slanted. The Colombian cat that works beside him said even $1000 was a lot for something this simple and I'll agree with parcero. Ese panzón es un juevón para cobrar me así hijueputa. Church is definitely a cool guy as a person, I just didn't like the fact he copy and pasted an inspo pic which brought a huge burden to my mind, wallet, precious time and energy. It didn't bother me that he was lolligaggin with the receptionist while he was redesigning the tattoo on his iPad however I did expect better end results. If he sees this, he may smirk at this review cus he knew I was moving away shortly after. Unfortunately, I now have to find an laser tattoo removal clinic or fork out money for my own machine to blast this thing off of me. I just wish he was able to see my vision from the start but not everyone will fully see or understand your vision which is a part of life. In the end, I take full responsibility for how the ink came out like the waiver agreement states. Despite the lengthy review, I thought the staff there were mad chill and professional and I liked how clean fun the environment was like. Best of luck to the Ikonic fam. Happy Holidays. -LJ

She started a sleeve for me, got halfway through it and decided to stop because it was something that she didn't want to pursue any further. The first incident with her started with my wifes tattoo. She waited 5 months to get her tattoo. 2 hours before her appointment Brea texted her and said she needed to change the appointment because there was a reptile show that she needed to go to to get food for her snakes. My wife had to switch up the appointment for a week later to suit her needs. Then, My appointment was a week after my wives. She cancelled my appointment after wating 5 months because she decided to go on a trip to Florida. I said, Ok whatever,. She reschedule me for December 31 which was New Years night. When she made the appointment I said to her.......Do you realize this is new years eve are you sure you're OK with that? She said yes, that's fine 2 hours before my appointment she texted me and said she was very sick and needed to cancel my appointment. Later that night,(New Years Eve) she was posting pictures of her on instagram out drinking. She was so sick she couldn't tattoo me but she was fine to go out drinking that same night on New Years Eve. She ended up tatooing me a few weeks later. The next incident, I sent her images 2 weeks prior to my appoinment of the tattoo I wanted. A day before my appointment she said send me picture of you tattoo that I'm covering up. This was NEVER supposed to be a cover up tattoo. I responded by saying......I dont understand what going on. Why do you need pictures of my arm that you are covering up? The next day, I went in for my appointment. I drove an hour to get there. When I got there they told me that Brea cancelled my appointment because my sleeve was something that she no longer wanted to pursue. I emailed Rapture the next day and said there was a big misunderstanding. I told them that I wanted to reschedule my appointment and they NEVER responded back to me. They might do good work but when it comes to their customer support they are horrible! I can not recommend this place. Especially , the very poor service of Brea Beashore
