This review covers the Bistro. Atmosphere is, as the Germans say, "Schlicht" and not quite as stuffy as the restaurant. Relatively small menu with big taste. We both had the braised pork cheeks as a starter and they were luxurious. For mains we had Pumkin raviolis and I had grilled Cod with sauteed boudin noir and apples. All dishes were excellent. The bistro has a limited wine offering compared to the restaurant but the available wines were lovely and the mark-up not extreme. Caveat: we had two glasses of Sekt in the lobby before the meal which cost €10 apiece. Service was impeccable. Two starters, two mains, a shared dessert, four glasses of wine, two glasses of sekt, and two bottles of water came to €151. As mentioned the Sekt was a bit high at €20. Probably rates 4.5 stars as we have had somewhat more impressive meals for that amount of money.

Wow, this was probably one of the best meals I've ever had. You have the option of 3 or 4 courses. Everyone gets the same 3 courses that Chef Ingo prepares for the night but the 4 course option includes a soup course. I went with the 3 course option, which included an amuse bouche of fresh baked bread with a selection of meat spreads; prawns and mussels over cous cous with a sweet mustard sauce; raspberry sorbet palate cleanser; filet (prepared sous vide to medium rare perfection) over basil risotto; chocolate mousse, mango "puffy" (mango ice cream wrapped in some sort of gelatin coconut dough heaven), and melon ice cream. It was heavenly. Even with all the courses, the servings were generous but not excessive; I left full and satisfied, not gluttonous. After 2 glasses of wine each and one of the best meals I've ever had, I was pleasantly surprised when the bill was less than $100 per person.
