Unfortunately, the way they handled the delivery and everything afterward completely ruined the experience. I paid an additional $175 specifically for an exact delivery time because I had multiple vendors scheduled that day and needed everything to stay on track. They ended up arriving almost TWO HOURS late, which pushed back my entire schedule and affected other vendors and caused so much stress. Mind you the event was a wedding. What made it worse was that while I was waiting, I couldn't get anyone on the phone to give me an update. If you're having a weekend wedding, don't expect much in the way of customer service if something goes wrong. After the event, I reached out and asked for a refund of just the $175 exact-time delivery fee. I wasn't asking for a refund on the equipment or the entire service, just the additional fee for a service I paid for and clearly didn't receive. They ghosted me. Honestly, $175 isn't going to make or break me. It's the principle. If you charge a customer extra for a guaranteed service and don't provide it, you should make it right. Instead, they chose to ignore the situation. Ironically, a lot of people at my event asked who provided the equipment because it looked great. I've been honest with everyone who asked about my experience, and unfortunately they've lost potential business over something that could have been resolved very easily. Good equipment. Very poor accountability and customer service. I wouldn't use them again or recommend.

This started off real easy getting ahold of Mr. Mendoza (owner/manager?) Via email to set things up. They break down payment due 1/2 at booking and the balance to pay 2 weeks prior to your event. Sounds easy enough. 3 1/2 weeks prior to the event I sent in the final check. Just to do the good deed i sent an email a few days after asking if they received it. Just like the first check I sent it included the last name of the groom and date of the event. I received a reply back via email confirming they received the final payment. So i went on taking care of the other small details leading up to our big day. The day of the wedding came and while my new hubby and I were taking pictures with the photographer at another location, our guest began arriving at the reception site in Santa Clara. The girls who showed up representing Blacktent photobooth, unexpectedly ended up an out-of-town Aunt of mind for the balance. Yes... the balance that I sent via check .. the same balance in question that I received a confirmation for saying it was received... all of a sudden is now due. They threatened my Aunt that they will pack up and leave if they don't get paid. My Aunt stressing out on behalf of me, offered to take care of it via credit card. Which was bitterly declined....."WE NEED CASH OR WE ARE LEAVING." They even told our guest the booth is NOT AVAILABLE with a bit of attitude, leaving our guest feeling a bit akward. My Aunt begged them to stay for a bit longer until the bride and groom arrived so it can be settled. When we arrived before even being able to hug and greet our guest, they attack. I told the girls I received a confirmation from Mr. Mendoza, that he received my payment but must have fallen on deaf ears since they went on demanding CASH OR PACKING UP. No consideration, no understanding. I know it's just a job for you to do and make your moeny... but these events are a part of people's memories. What was a bride to do?! I had no checkbook, no wallet, not even a phone. Just my wedding dress and bouquet. My wonderful loving cousins poured into the bridal room offered support and cash to pay them so they can start doing the job they were hired for. The rest of the evening went well, the pictures are decent nothing spectacular. The girls who tended to the pgotobooth, behaved at least as far as I know. But the disappointment of the experience loomed. Livid about the situation I ended up writing a cuss filled review on that evening. my husband told me to hold off writing this post until the incident was forgiven. My husband called the next day asking what had happened with the check we sent and to fill him I with our experience. He apologized but it didn't sound sincere. He couldn't or wouldn't explain to my husband at all but rather tried to divert it. Mr. Mendoza offered to make it up to us by sending us an extra something the bride and groom's photobooth pic on a customized canvas frame and something else..i can't remeber. We never received it so we are sure he only said it to shut us up and get us off the phone. Thank you for disappointment #2. We wouldn't have cared about the "extra" custom frame at all....but we did want a sincere apology and a clear explanation as to what happened. That would have sufficed. Did you even receive the check? If you didn't how and why did we receive the confirmation? If you didn't receive it why would you send the confirmation in the first place. This would have been easier to deal with if it didn't happen on the day of our wedding. So here we are 10 months in and it still hasn't changed in my mind that this experience well deserves a 2 star review. Note to those who do hire them.MAKE SURE YOU get everything in writing. Do what you can to make sure they are on the same page as you. WE WOULD NEVER WISH THIS EXPERIENCE IN ANYONE WHO'S PLANNING AN EVENT.
