Breakfast Skillet
Joey C.

This was our first time at Pagosa Springs in the Fall and it was absolutely beautiful. On our last day we decided to have breakfast at the Junction Restaurant and had a filling meal. Our waitress was Ellie and she was very friendly and checked on us as regularly as she could but you could tell that they were short staffed. She was thoughtful enough to apologize for the wait because it took about 45 mins to get our food. When the food arrived, none of us were disappointed. The food was delicious. I opted for the Breakfast Skillet and it was very filling with a lot of flavor. Each plate was heavily filled so you won't leave hungry. The wait may be long but the food is worth it if you have the time. If you aren't in a hurry and the weather is just right, eat outside and enjoy the views.

Chicken Fried Steak w/ Overhard eggs and Biscuit

Great place for breakfast the waitresses are super sweet and work hard to make the experience worth stopping there. I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and a biscuit very tasty. My oldest had the Breakfast Skillet with sunny side up eggs and a blueberry muffin which she took on the road with us. They also have a gift shop with cute things for sale.

Steak & Shrimp Dinner

Driving to Durango and getting hungry . Not many places to eat between home and Pagosa Springs. Saw a restaurant with lots of cars in the parking lot, so hey let's stop here. The restaurant interior was cool - wood throughout: walls, beams and posts. Elk paintings & taxidermy elk adorned the wall. Pagosa Springs is in the middle of elk country. Definitely a rustic feel to the place. A check of the menu - lots of choices. So we settled on the rib eye steak and shrimp and Philly Cheese Steak. Meals arrived and I cut in my steak it was cooked as ordered, a pleasant surprise. But it was tough. Huh? Rib eye isn't supposed to be tough. At least the shrimp was good. Philly Cheese steak was excellent as were the sides . Service was outstanding and saved this review.

The Man and I stopped here for breakfast after a recommendation by some locals. A true original country diner with simple yet delicious food. Pricing was fantastic and the portions were wonderful. I don't think I have seen the Man eat that much for breakfast before . He enjoyed the chicken fried steak with some sides and I had the pancakes with eggs and sausage. Both highly enjoyed and recommended. Our waitress was so wonderful and pleasant and kept our coffee topped off. Please stop by here and enjoy yourself. There is a nice little gift shop inside as well!

Fun table game!

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have higher ratings. We've been coming to this spot for over 20 years. It's a tradition to stop here and eat before we head back to Texas. We started off with coffee and water. A fun table game is there for anyone to enjoy. It's a good brain teaser. I ordered the full order of biscuits and gravy- it comes with a big bowl of gravy and 3 large biscuits. Definitely shareable. It's only $4.95 We also got the one egg breakfast. Choice of one egg, bacon, toast and hash brown. It's was so good! Only $3.95 Hubby got the chicken fried steak and eggs and that was a show stopper. I only got to taste a nibble before he devoured it in half of a second. This place is an Inexpensive, good home-grown breakfast joint that knows what they are doing

Red and green breakfast burrito. Both sauces were sausage based. This was hearty
Gary B.

No frills and no let downs. This was quick and easy unlike most places in town. I got the skillet, she got the burrito. The red and green chile sauces were not New Mexico style but still good. Servers were attentive and very nice. We were in and out in less than an hour.

Another great find in Pagosa! We ate here twice during our…read more4 day stay. They have different specials posted at the restaurant everyday. The first night there was a 4 taco special for $7.50 but I upgraded my tacos to carnitas. Asada, and pastor for $1.50. The pastor was my favorite but they were all good. Hubs had the enchiladas (per usual) and was happy. Our little loved the chicken tenders and the fries are delicious. The second time she had rice and beans and declared them the best she'd ever had! At lunch I had the quesobirria special and they were definitely the best id ever had. I'm often disappointed, but here- not a bit! The service is so friendly and helpful! It has a family feel. The house margs are top notch AND they have a salsa bar! That's nearly unheard of post-Covid so three cheers for that perk! We'd definitely return here!

When I offered to pay cash to avoid it, the waiter suddenly said he had to change the check because he had "forgotten to charge us for extra tortillas," which felt shady. To make matters worse, both myself and a friend who ordered the fajitas are sick to our stomachs the next day, which raises concerns about food safety. Overall a very poor experience. We won't be back.

Note there is a review by Howie who is a great reviewer from Albuquerque but the review is 9 years old and it's changed here in Pagosa a lot. They were not, and the side of BBQ sauce was unnecessary, but better safe than sorry. The pulled pork on that pretzel bun SHHHHMACKS! I'll definitely be back for another one.....next week! I'll drive through a snow storm for that pig! Even better than the sandwich was the Onion Rings. Haven't had rings like that in....... maybe ever! They were cooked great, and so crunchy but slightly soft inside! They are a bit pricey for the smallish amount you get, but it is BBQ so I expected a bigger bill from the jump. The cole slaw isn't my favorite, but made a decent crunchy topper to add into the sandwich. The guy that took our order and then brought our food out was really great as well. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Brunch options are the most well known but I think they'd be good for other meal times too. I personally got the Liege Belgian waffle with strawberries, banana, and whip cream and I thought it was absolutely amazing. The pearl sugar, the textures, and flavors! One of my favorite waffles I've ever had. I will be thinking about this whenever I crave a waffle in the future. Just the right amount of sweetness and crunch! My friend got the Hash Smash bowl. I got to taste a small bite and I found the aioli sauce to be delicious. Speaking of sauces, they have hot sauce buckets with a bunch of different ones to try. I found that very nice that they offer that and let people try a bunch of sauces they otherwise might not have had that chance to try otherwise. Also very interesting and unexpected that they happen to have boba drinks in this part of town. FYI though, their boba isn't soaked in syrup so it's bland if your drink isn't quite sugar heavy enough itself. Highly recommend the restaurant look into that and soak their bobas to take the drinks to the next level. Lastly, their menu seems to change quite often and the pics on yelp don't reflect the current menu anymore. You may see dishes/drinks missing or on there that you didn't expect.
