I actually called to try and reschedule the appointment since I knew I didn't have all of my information for filing however I was advised I should come in anyway so that I can get a 10% discount My first visit consisted of him putting all of my W2 information in the computer that I had so far and telling me how most likely I'm not going to be able to deduct any work expenses or out of pocket expenses for my clinical supervision for myb licensure ECT. I mean he didn't even ask me all of the expenses that I had? It probably took him a good 5-10 minutes to enter in all my information however his computer was acting up so he was unable to show me flow charts to backup the reasons why I am not able to claim my deductions and was adamant it would not be beneficial for me to itemize. So yes I was probably there for about 45 minutes to an hour but not because he was reviewing any paperwork with me. We decided that we would just end the meeting and that I would submit any additional W-2s that I get since it was still early in the season. After I left I decided to get a second opinion and have someone else review my paperwork so I called the office and told them I didn't want to file with them and if I could pick up the paperwork that he did have on file so far. The secretary told me that I could stop by anytime and pick it up however he charges $100 an hour and that for that visit I would have to pay $114 and if I decide to continue with them of course they would give me a final fee for services. Obviously I'm going to pay the fee and go somewhere else however that is b******* because he literally didn't do anything that I couldn't do by myself! So back to TurboTax I go.... And he charged me an hour? Really? Fucking rip off!! I didn't even get the 10% discount lol...ridiculous, poor business etiquette

However, when we showed up for our scheduled appt (after setting up through the website AND receiving confirmations and reminders the day of), we found the business closed and phone not working. What a waste of time...and we traveled quite a distance with a small infant. Now we have to scramble to get an appointment somewhere else. Shut down your website. Not a classy way to treat people.

Having had tried to seek another tax accountant last year because of scheduling was a major mistake on my end! Then i took it back to brenda and had her go over redoing my taxes. It was a major bummer for me last year to pay the tax accountant who did shady business. I had to bring my taxes in to Brenda to have her redo my taxes from the previous accountant. Now i'm a firm believer I will never go to anyone else. I learned my lesson and now Brenda will be our tax accountant for life. My mom has a business and she brings boxes of reciepts and Brenda works with her and all her craziness.
