I've had very bad experience with this barbershop. I came here twice and they refused the service because I didn't pay tip one time. He doesn't know how to behave with customers I read more

Julie is great for "Adult Mens Hair". She doesn't cut kids hair. As far as mens hair, Julie provides a very good haircut for just $14.00. She works alone, she is closed for lunch, and Closed Thursday's. Julie is friendly, her specialty is adult mens hair. read more

Under new ownership. John's Barber Shop. Julie retired some time back, but I'm still getting great haircuts from the new owner. If you used to use Julie, you won't be disappointed with John. Very reasonable pricing. read more

Terrible SLOW service. Bring Julie back! Every visit here has been so slow, this business should not be in business and the DCA should pay a cleanliness and hygiene visit. read more

Who in their right mind turns away kids? 4 boys wanted their haircut and they turned us away. The reason its too many of them, its gonna take too long and my feet hurt. Really, how are you in business. Do not waste your time here. Thank you Super Cuts for helping us today. read more

Julie's Barber Shop - How do you turn away all these kids for a haircut because your feet hurt and it will take too much time. Horrible location. - Barbers Near Me - Orange, California

$10 a haircut for men. I assume she does women's hair, but she emphasized that she ran a barber, not a salon. Don't expect any fancy perms or whatever women get. Besides being able to hold a conversation without it being awkward, I was quite happy with my hair afterward. This is the end of my trips to Fantastic Sam's and the beginning of Julie's. I also thought it was funny when she wouldn't let me tip more than $5. She's a nice person, you should go there. Place is also pretty inconspicuous from the outside. It's in a small shopping area on the corner next to the 98¢ store. read more

You know. I've been coming here for 8 years. And each and every time Julie takes care of me. Whether it was getting me ready for formal. Getting my ready for college photos. Or getting me ready just for a night on the town. I've always been impressed! And so is everyone else! I value every little thing she does. In every little way she does it. I still don't go anywhere else and wish her all the best. Always. read more

perfect everytime, always a great time getting my haircut with julie, quick easy and good price

There's not much in the place. There's no TV. There's no music. BUT...as I learned, there is Julie. So you don't need anything else. I needed a haircut. It wasn't long, but longer than I like. I like to brush my hair with a towel, and people started to mistake me for other folks they knew. Like the girl that thought I was her boyfriend. That was fun till she got a better look. That's another post... So it went like this. On my shopping mission for Saturday I came across Julie's place. So I just walked in. Perfect timing cause no body was there. Every chair was full earlier, and the place attracted customers while I was there. I got lucky. I got a great cut. Julie was very delightful. A teacher came in and we all talked for a while. Very friendly, very happy. I have to admit, I would have stayed and chatted a bit, but I was still trying to stay ahead of the girl that thought I was her boyfriend. So I had to go. That's another post... Here's the best thing of all that I liked...you know how you hate the little hair snips that hang on for hours after a cut? Makes you scratch all day. Well, at the end, Julie took a vacuum to my head. Startled me at first. It's not an elegant event to have a vacuum run all over your head. But it worked! It's a bit like riding a moped. Both are fun until somebody sees you. A great priced haircut, a vacuum, she doesn't do windows, but a great place to chat while you're there. read more

Great old fashioned barber shop. No reservations needed. Good magazine selection to pass time. Plus lots of very friendly customers. I've been coming here 7-8 years with great haircuts every time. Julie prefers to cut guys hair, so lots of the clients are seasoned citizen types. I only wish I'd found her earlier. read more

Wish zero stars was an option. Walked into this barber shop with my son's 8 and 4 and she looked at me like I had three heads on me. I said two hair cuts, pointed at the boys and she said she didn't know how to cut kids hair. Really????? I said you use clippers like any one else. She refused to cut their hair. Stay away. Horrible customer service. read more

Julie is such a wonderful, sweet lady! This is an old fashioned barbershop, with magazines and music, that's it. No frills, no BS. Julie will take great care of you, I never go anywhere else and neither will you! BTW, I only see guys in here, this is pretty much a guys' place, nothing fancy. You're the best, Julie! The best!!!!!! read more

GO here to get a man's haircut!! Quick, friendly and affordable. My 79 yr old Dad has been going to JULIE's for 22 years! The other day, Dad and I were spending time together and he said he wanted to get a haircut so in we went. What the heck, I got one, too. When I got home, my girlfriend said she loved it. Julie even vacuums any hair off your neck so you don't get itchy. She had nice 50's music playing in the background which made it feel like an old barbershop. 95% of her customers are men because she doesn't like to do women's hair, she said. I learned from Julie that she has been cutting hair for 30 years (22 years in Orange, 8 years at El Toro) and KNOWS how to give a haircut! She is cheerful, kind and genuinely a warm person. If you are a man and want a man's haircut (without wasting time and spending an arm-and-a-leg) then go to visit Julie. Her shop is next to the Winchell's on N. Tustin Ave near Chapman. 5 stars all the way! read more

I have been going to Julie's for well over fifteen years. She is a one-person barbershop. She has been in the same location for over 32 years. Before I found Julie, I tried many other barbers. They have retired, died, sold their businesses or gave poor haircuts. Julie has always done a great job cutting my hair. She only charges $12.00 for a haircut. For quality, price, and service, you won't find a better barber. Thank you Julie for your years of service cutting hair for the military and for your dedication to your loyal customers. read more

She doesnt like to cut kids hair. Stay very far away from.this place. Walked into this place and the lady looked at me like i was a homeless

Just a horrible experience... ...I walked in this afternoon and asked for a haircut, I haven't had my haircut for 4 weeks and was looking for a new place to get my haircut as I just moved to California. There was one customer leaving the shop and not one person waiting. I asked for a haircut and had these exact words said to me in an extremely rude manner 'I haven't eaten my lunch yet , and your hair is short anyway.' When i saw the reviews of this place they were mostly high 5* reviews, so i thought this place must be good why not try a visit. Maybe you are thinking the same but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GIVING THIS PLACE A MISS!! read more

Julie will give you a great, affordable haircut, 6 days out of the week. Most of the time I get seen right away, but it's just her so sometimes I wait a little while. She will tell you how long the wait will be right away. You pay $10 for a $20 haircut. Just chairs and magazines, no frills, but you don't pay for frills so I don't see what the problem is. read more

Julie is great. Can't beat the quality for the price. She has never given me a bad hair cut. Plus she has a great personality which makes the time go by very fast. Plus she vacuums the hair off your neck so you don't itch the rest of the day. Great barber! read more

I'm clearly not the first to run into this problem according to the other reviews. I walk in and she says she's eating and to come back in 15 min. I come back 25 min later and this conversation plays out Julie: Yeah sorry I'm still busy Me: How long do you need? Julie: I have stuff to do. Come back tomorrow Me: Your sign says you're open for another 4 hours Julie: Yeah sorry about that ...I'm not going back and I wouldn't recommend you go there either read more

Julie has been cutting my hair for years and does a fantastic job. Very detailed and consistent. You have to wait sometimes for half an hour or more because she's very busy. She has cut my two son's hair until they're grown and gone. Amazing that she's been at the same place for 32 years. Hope she doesn't retire soon !! read more
