I worked with Liana over a month after losing a lot of weight due to a variety of digestion issues…read morethat my GI has never been able to identify but appears to be ibs. Liana was very helpful with making plans to get back on track. I would highly recommend her.

I am very happy I decided to meet with Liana. I started meeting with her monthly either in person…read moreor via FaceTime right before I did some serious traveling with a theater production on an international tour. I was very nervous about gaining weight while I was on the road and Liana helped me to make sure that I had the basic building blocks of a healthy diet that made it possible to maintain my weight even with my erratic schedule. My original goal was to lose ten pounds, and sadly I didn't achieve it. However, I do not at all regret my decision to meet with Liana because I got something unexpected out of our appointments that is much more worthwhile. Like many twenty-something American women I have a "food issue," I won't call it an eating disorder because it isn't that extreme, however food and I have always had a love/hate relationship that usually consists of extreme dieting for as long as I can hold out, which spirals into junk food binges when my willpower is worn thin or I feel like I've "failed" on my diet. This lead to a number of other health issues that I had no idea were related to nutrition, including acne, extremely thin hair and nails, and little to no energy. Liana looked at my crash diets and found the missing nutrients that my body had been craving. Within the first month of meeting with her my skin had cleared up and I had much more energy. Since then my hair and nails have grown thicker and stronger, I've built up much more muscle and look leaner and slimmer. While I haven't lost any weight, I went down a dress size and friends have commented that I look thinner. I have a much better relationship with food; I can go out to eat with friends without stressing over "ruining" my diet, I don't crave fatty sugary foods nearly as much as I did before (because my body isn't starved of fats, carbs, and proteins), and I can just relax about eating. My only regret is that I didn't meet with her sooner; this experience was (sorry to get so sentimental), downright life-changing.

It is with confidence that I can highly recommend Salem Chiropractic Center…read more Here's what happened. I had ended up as a Covid Long Hauler and one of the lingering symptoms of Covid Long Haul is insomnia and without a solid night's sleep comes constant fatigue & exhaustion. I tried prescriptions, supplements, meditation, & even hypnosis just to name a few strategies that I tried to get some sleep at night, but without success until I saw Dr Wilson at Salem Chiropractic. It's a catch 22 situation without a good solid night's sleep it's difficult to get well. I had explained to Dr Wilson that not only was I sleep deprived, but I experienced a lot of pain in my neck, upper shoulders and I also had a tension that traveled from the base of my skull across the top of my head, over the forehead and into my nasal cavity. So I told Dr Wilson that even if I started to drift off to sleep, I would frequently wake up because of the pain in my neck, shoulders and skull. Dr Wilson took X-rays of my neck as I had told him that I had sustained a serious neck injury at 10years old and with that I wondered if this old injury might be contributing to the pain and insomnia. The results of the Xray showed that my neck was riddled with arthritis due to the neck injury I had from childhood. Dr Wilson explained that this was the cause of the stiffness, pain and lack of mobility in my neck which obviously was contributing to the insomnia. Im grateful to say that after my very first treatment with Dr Wilson at Salem Chiropractic, I finally felt relief from the pain in my neck. And vies a vie, I finally got a good night's sleep. Can we say Alleluia? YES, we can! It's been Two+ years trying to recover as a Covid Long Hauler. Now that I am finally getting some sleep at night, I fully trust that I will be able to live a happy, healthy, pain free life. With Dr Wilson's assistance I feel I am finally on the road to optimal wellness. Thank You Dr Wilson & the lovely staff at Salem Chiropractic.

I came to this practice seeking support for both digestive issues and a complicated history with…read moreeating. What I got instead was a mix of dismissal, invalidation, and a total lack of curiosity about my actual experience. First, I worked with Emma, who helped me identify some real tools for both promoting balanced eating and addressing negative thoughts. Later, I reached out to work with them again, and was paired with Rebecca. This is where my issues began. I was told--explicitly or implicitly--that my very real symptoms (like persistent bloating and pain) were just part of an "eating disorder mindset." When I mentioned that taking a probiotic at night consistently helped me sleep and brought relief by morning, I was met with, "I've never heard someone use a probiotic like that before," as if my body's response was wrong simply because it didn't fit their model. There was no interest in learning from what worked for me--only in correcting or reframing it. Even more upsetting: I followed the probiotic instructions to the letter, and when I pointed that out in writing, the nutritionist quietly backed off without any acknowledgment or apology. That lack of accountability, especially when the provider had doubted my experience, was a real breach of trust. It's hard enough to live with digestive distress, harder still when your concerns are treated as emotional distortions rather than physiological realities. It IS possible to lose weight in a healthy, mindful way while also healing your relationship with your body and food. When I really pushed the NourishRx folks, they ultimately explicitly told me they were not equipped to discuss weight loss AT ALL, but had been talking to me as though I were the problem for wanting all of those things rather than owning their own limitations. If you're looking for a practice that listens, validates, and partners with you--especially around complex gut-health issues--this may not be the right fit.

You tell him what you need and he will recommend a great product. I've come here for myself and my teenage son is a die hard fan. This is actually the favorite nutrition store for all the student athletes in Peabody. He has educated my son on so many aspects of using protein and supplements for fitness and as an athlete. As a parent I also appreciate him explaining why certain pre-workouts are not healthy for him at 17. That's a big fight a lot of us have with our teenagers. There is a great selection in the store and it's also much fresher than chain store products like GNC or Vitamin Shoppe. I love shopping local and would never go anywhere else. My kid has been begging me to take him this week so I'll probably be in again soon!

We ordered a protein shake that was very tasty - my only issue was I like to know sugar levels and we couldn't get that info when ordering. We did get more info on the iced tea which was sugar free. That was surprisingly tasty and fruity. I didn't have a lot of the shake as I worried about sugar levels but that was nice, although had that aftertaste you get from the protein used (which is expected). I would definitely order another one of their iced teas.
