I came to this practice seeking support for both digestive issues and a complicated history with…read moreeating. What I got instead was a mix of dismissal, invalidation, and a total lack of curiosity about my actual experience. First, I worked with Emma, who helped me identify some real tools for both promoting balanced eating and addressing negative thoughts. Later, I reached out to work with them again, and was paired with Rebecca. This is where my issues began. I was told--explicitly or implicitly--that my very real symptoms (like persistent bloating and pain) were just part of an "eating disorder mindset." When I mentioned that taking a probiotic at night consistently helped me sleep and brought relief by morning, I was met with, "I've never heard someone use a probiotic like that before," as if my body's response was wrong simply because it didn't fit their model. There was no interest in learning from what worked for me--only in correcting or reframing it. Even more upsetting: I followed the probiotic instructions to the letter, and when I pointed that out in writing, the nutritionist quietly backed off without any acknowledgment or apology. That lack of accountability, especially when the provider had doubted my experience, was a real breach of trust. It's hard enough to live with digestive distress, harder still when your concerns are treated as emotional distortions rather than physiological realities. It IS possible to lose weight in a healthy, mindful way while also healing your relationship with your body and food. When I really pushed the NourishRx folks, they ultimately explicitly told me they were not equipped to discuss weight loss AT ALL, but had been talking to me as though I were the problem for wanting all of those things rather than owning their own limitations. If you're looking for a practice that listens, validates, and partners with you--especially around complex gut-health issues--this may not be the right fit.

You tell him what you need and he will recommend a great product. I've come here for myself and my teenage son is a die hard fan. This is actually the favorite nutrition store for all the student athletes in Peabody. He has educated my son on so many aspects of using protein and supplements for fitness and as an athlete. As a parent I also appreciate him explaining why certain pre-workouts are not healthy for him at 17. That's a big fight a lot of us have with our teenagers. There is a great selection in the store and it's also much fresher than chain store products like GNC or Vitamin Shoppe. I love shopping local and would never go anywhere else. My kid has been begging me to take him this week so I'll probably be in again soon!

We ordered a protein shake that was very tasty - my only issue was I like to know sugar levels and we couldn't get that info when ordering. We did get more info on the iced tea which was sugar free. That was surprisingly tasty and fruity. I didn't have a lot of the shake as I worried about sugar levels but that was nice, although had that aftertaste you get from the protein used (which is expected). I would definitely order another one of their iced teas.

I am very surprised to not see more negative reviews of this place…read more First: price - exorbitant! $3400 per 12 weeks, three times weekly 30 minute sessions - this is some pricey private training... That's about $200 per hour they make, makes you wonder: what's their expertise to charge this kind of money?? Secondly, I was desperate to lose weight, so I signed up for it and having had really high expectations! I was excited and looking forward to following their program, including the food sensitivity and DNA based recommendations. However, after a while, not hearing any plans from my trainer for those, I asked and, bummer: these are extra bucks! $600 to be precise, for the DNA testing, which turns out is actually a simple "spit in a box and send it to the lab" thing, which anywhere else (ancestry.com, 23andme) is around $100.00. Long story short: not an inch/pound lost, just wasted a ton of money. Also, they really made me feel bad about myself for "possibly" not following the guides in the booklet, and saying that "we're doing all we can here, but we can't know what you're doing out of here" - so, basically, I was cheating and this is why there were no results. Ugh, I didn't cheat and I did work hard because I'm an adult and I want to put my money to good purpose. While they're not bad people, although I can't justify the high fees they charge and they didn't rob me of the money, I wish there would be more transparency in the services fees. Because of this I don't recommend them, as being misleading and selling overpriced services. P.S. I lost the weight (20 lbs) just by joining a $99/month unlimited Yoga-Pilates club, where I enjoy working out and doing low-impact muscle building exercises, for three months now.
