She is extremely sociable and well-behaved - when we read books at home, she sits quietly and patiently while listening, just as she has learned to do during the regularly scheduled lesson time led by Miss Reyna. During the tour we got to know Sherry and Camille and our daughter also got to get comfortable with them before going there officially. Our daughter loved their backyard! There are so many things do to in the backyard compared to a playground! It is like those indoor playgrounds you see with so many areas for your child to explore and play in! Our daughter loves being outdoors so we knew having a place like a backyard play area would be what she needs! Also they rotate out new play structures and toys in the backyard so your kids will never get bored! Sherry and Camille are so caring! You can tell because all the kids love them both! Our daughter too was very comfortable with them as when she would come home she would tell us how they listened to her for what she wanted. Like one time she wanted more pizza :) That is also a plus! Always smiling daycare provides breakfast and lunch at no extra cost! They also provide the diapers at no extra cost too! This made our life so much easier as we did not need to prepare breakfast or lunch for our daughter everyday as well as check when we needed to refill her diaper supply! They provide so much more than all the other daycares we explored. On our daughter's first day and one other day, she was crying when we left her :( However, Sherry was so kind to reassure us that she was fine by sending us pictures of how she was doing! And we could see that our daughter was no longer crying and enjoying herself :) Sherry was so kind too on our daughter's first few days at her daycare, by sending us pictures over text to let us see how she was doing. And then after that she posts pictures and now recently short videos of how your kid is doing! Always Smiling Daycare also celebrates every child's birthday! Sherry even offers to make a cake for your child on her birthday and also pays for a gift for them! It is also really great they have a reward system for good behavior, where at the end of the day, if the child had good behavior they get a sticker :) Our daughter loved getting stickers and now we use stickers too at home to reward our daughter for good behavior! And then on Fridays the child gets to pick a toy for good behavior. Our daughter has gotten a lot of toys that she still plays with today! She also learned the whole alphabet song and is able to count to 30! Our friend who referred us here also told us that she had sent her son to many other daycares and this is the only one he enjoys and comes home smiling! Plus all other daycares we looked at were at least $400 more than Always Smiling Daycare! Julie is loving, kind and patient. Her staff reflects this as well. My daughter (2) had a negative experience at a previous daycare so was hesitant to go, but after only a day or two (of "transition visits" where I stay), my daughter is asking in the morning "go to Julie house peese?" She has zero tech, fun and engaging toys that rotate throughout the day, so the kids aren't overwhelmed with choices and generally speaking, get excited to play and it feeds peer to peer engagement as well. Julie has a loose "schedule" (more of a routine, she lets the kids decide when they're ready to move on to the next activity) that I also really enjoyed, as did my daughter. Overall, I know my daughter is safe and loved at Habitot and would highly recommend calling Julie for a tour if you have daycare needs.

This was my first experience enrolling in a daycare. Julie is a very sweet, energizer bunny caregiver to kids and this post is not to slander her business. From the beginning that I reached out to her on fb messenger, she was so kind and accommodating and I felt like she was a godsend. In the meantime, we also applied for a school that told us we were waitlisted with no date to be expected. It started to go downhill in my overall experience after our first transition visit. My son loved it a lot which is all I cared about. The day we set was Friday once a week, and the following week the morning of Friday I messaged her to confirm that we were going to head over for the second visit- she replied that she was so sorry but she had a stomach bug so we couldn't go. Understandable as these things happen, and the following week was also cancelled as everyone still had the stomach bug. Then we found out that my son got off the waitlist for school and immediately I communicated to her this information and she said ok good luck! Here is when the miscommunication started to begin. The paperwork said the nonrefundable deposit counts towards the last 2 weeks of school. In my brain, I understood it as ok I can send him two times still. All this mama wants and was looking for was a safe place to drop her kid off to get a break and at this point we are a few weeks in already with no outcome. After going back and forth with me confirming costs which I am sure was annoying to deal with for her, we settled on her accepting my 30 day notice which I wanted to respect and I could still get the outcome I wanted- just some rest! Finally, a whole month after we started messaging the day arrived and I was able to drop him off. I had printed and filled out all the required paperwork and I forgot to bring it with me which I didn't realize until we got there and my son was getting settled. Feeling already really annoyed with myself, I asked if it was possible for Julie to print out the paperwork which I could fill out prior to leaving as I didn't want her to get into any trouble. I so appreciated her doing that to save me a trip home and lugging my toddler back. While filling out the paperwork, she suddenly brought up that he could not stay in the daycare until she hand wrote out his immunization record into the paper which she didn't know if she could do today because it's hard to do with kids around. I am 100% ready to admit that at that point hearing this new info of my son not being able to stay because she couldn't fill out a portion the parent did not need to do caused me to get frustrated. I can empathize for the extra work I caused, and I so appreciated her helping me print out. What could have made this avoidable, was her telling me when I checked in prior to dropping off that she needed 10-15 min to fill out a portion the provider needs to do before that can happen. My expectation of me able to drop my son off after ensuring he was settled for ~15 min and go on my way back to my baby at home that my husband was trying to juggle while in a meeting and then her telling me actually she didn't know was possible with kids around truly is off putting and caught me off guard. Do I wish I hadn't lost my patience and not sounded as frustrated as I did while trying to clarify with her if my son could stay or not because I wasn't getting a clear answer? Absolutely. When I came to pick up, I got no update on how he did and when we left she told us at the gate that she was going to refund us and me being confrontational made her uncomfortable so we could not come back and good luck with everything. I already felt terrible for creating more work and cried after our interaction, and to go back to pick up my son and be told we were not welcome back left me stunned. I later reached out to apologize that I made her uncomfortable as that is not the person I am. She thanked me and then apologized on her end, gave an update how my son did and why she essentially booted us out of the daycare was because of this confrontation with children around. Instead of just shutting ppl out that really felt so dismissive and so upsetting to me after a month long ordeal of me proactively communicating with her while respecting the way she runs her business, I hope that Julie can better navigate through uncomfortable situations as the business owner, communicate more proactively and clearly, and realize if she's overextending herself. *this is to share my experience with you as I did not want to further miscommunicate. It's okay that this wasn't a fit. Please see date you sent me the paperwork and review our messages once again. If a parent clarifying details felt confrontational to you via messenger, then a call may be a better idea next time for someone new.

Fast forward through the infant/ toddler programs to her recent "graduation" from the FSLH preschool program at age 4, and my daughter knows her letters, numbers , and knows how to write her name-- she is so ready for TK! I should mention that Liz and her staff also provide instruction in Spanish, so my daughter was able to learn and practice two languages while there. Also provided are two delicious and healthy meals (breakfast and lunch) and an afternoon snack, which my daughter and her FSLH friends enjoyed, but was also such a huge help and relief for me, as a busy single working Mom, not to have to worry about preparing those meals. As a first time Mom, I also felt very fortunate to have the support of someone like Liz with years of experience as a Mom, educator, and a daycare provider...and so I feel I learned a lot from FSLH, as did my daughter. Annie's home made lunch has American, Chinese,Japanese and Korean four different styles. The lunch is well balanced with perfect amount of vegetables, broth and proteins. My daughter especially like their soup (tang tang). Also their pre-school class is pretty good. My daughter learnt quite a lot traditional Chinese characters from Jennifer. There's also a weekly COVID screening for each student fully covered by insurance. Jennifer has constantly made sure that the school is safe for both the teachers and students. - The play based structure really makes learning effortless.
