My daughter began at Dreamtree during the COVID-19 pandemic. Naturally the transition caused us some worry. I'm pleased to share that in the half year we've been sending her to the daycare, not one child or family has fallen ill. This is a testament to how well Karen maintains the daycare and keeps it extremely clean, as well as the other families who are members of the daycare. In the time my daughter has been at Dreamtree, Miss Karen and Miss Reyna have helped her to adjust to one nap a day (she's about 1.5 years old), and supported her in taking her first steps. She is extremely sociable and well-behaved - when we read books at home, she sits quietly and patiently while listening, just as she has learned to do during the regularly scheduled lesson time led by Miss Reyna. My daughter gets so excited to see Miss Karen and her new friends each and every day when we drop her off. Another added benefit: frequent photos of the kids playing together! read more

Our daughter has attended Dreamtree Daycare since she was a year old, and we have been pleased with her progress. Though it was difficult initially, she adjusted well with other kids and now enjoys playing with her friends and learning her numbers and rhymes. The environment is clean, organized, and feels like a home. We appreciate that Ms. Karen and Ms. Kamea, follow the children's natural rhythms rather than enforcing strict routines. They also provide regular photo updates during the day. We joined this daycare through a friend's recommendation and have enjoyed seeing our daughter thrive. The atmosphere feels more like a home than a rigid facility, which we prefer. The happy faces of the children during pickup confirm that it is a positive environment for her. Based on our positive experience, we would recommend this daycare. read more

Both Ms. Karen and Ms Kamea take excellent care of my daughter. She gets excited when she Ms. Karen in the morning. The facility is clean and well maintained. Everything has been childproofed properly. Their price is reasonable and we're pretty happy so far with their services :) read more

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Dreamtree Daycare! Our daughter started here when she was just 1 year old, and from day one she felt right at home. The environment is warm, welcoming, and truly nurturing -- both Ms. Karen and Ms. Kamea took such wonderful care of her. We always felt confident that she was safe, happy, and engaged throughout the day. Communication was great, drop-off and pick-up were smooth, and it was clear every day that she was loved and well cared for. She absolutely loved going to daycare, and we always picked her up with a smile. We're so grateful for the positive impact this place has had on her development and our peace of mind. Highly recommend to any family looking for a caring and trustworthy place for their little one! read more

My daughter has been Dream Tree Daycare since she was 6 months old, she's now 14 months old... I can't say enough good things about Ms. Karen and Raena. They have been nothing short of amazing. My daughter is always clean and comes home happy. I can tell both Ms. Karen and Ms. Raena truly care for the children as if they were their own. They both have incredible attention to detail and have expressed how important it is to them that my daughter feels comfortable, making daycare feel like a home away from home. I feel Ms. Karen and Ms. Raena are like family. To trust another person with your child is one of the hardest things I had to do, however they have made it easy. Ms. Karen is loving and attentive, and Ms. Raena goes above and beyond, even texting me to ask permission before offering my daughter something like an orange, just to be sure I'm okay with her eating food beyond what I've packed. As a first-time mom, choosing a daycare was stressful, but Ms. Karen and Raena have made the experience so much better. I would recommend Dream Tree Daycare to anyone looking for childcare that offers true attention to detail and a loving, safe place for their little one. :) read more

Dreamtree Daycare provides a loving and nurturing environment for kids. We love how Ms Karen and Ms Raena is attentive and caring, and always keeps the space clean and safe for the kiddos. In addition, we love how Ms Karen will send pictures or videos of our son playing daily. We truly feel lucky that we were able to find Dreamtree Daycare and I would highly recommend it to any parent. read more

Our daughter went to this daycare when she was 15 months old and stayed there till she was almost 3 years old. We had a positive experience with Ms. Karen and Raena. My daughter made a lot of friends and she has a lot of memories of this place. We are feeling very nostalgic when this comes to an end. Best thing was how clean and organized this daycare was. Also there is a morning class which we really liked. They give healthy snacks but sent our own lunch. They do have lunch option I believe. This daycare was great value for $$ too since they have the least number of days off during the year. And are open on several days during year end which was a lifesaver for us. I would definitely recommend this daycare! read more

Dreamtree daycare is the best! Mrs. Karen and mrs. Raena are very caring and sweet. The place is super clean. My daughter never got sick since she attended in Dec 2023 (now is April 2024). She is always home clean, happy, and smells really good. One thing I really appreciate is that my daughter learns so many words and knows a lot of things since coming here. She barely talked before but now she talks a lot. Every morning when I take her to this daycare, she is so happy even yelling happily and hug mrs. Karen. This place is kinda low tech since you won't have any app/software to access your children's pictures but mrs. Karen does send pictures occasionally. I feel very assured and pleased that my daughter can be taken care very carefully by mrs. Karen and mrs. Raena. read more

We love Dreamtree Daycare! Our little one has been there a couple of months now. He transitioned very easily and I believe that is due to the nurturing (and clean) environment. Ms Karen takes care of the children as if they were her own family. Our son has never come home with a nose unwiped or a diaper rash, meaning they are very attentive and diligent in their care. I also enjoy the daily pictures and videos they send, so I get to see how much fun he's having with all his daycare friends. You'll be lucky to get your child into a place as great as this. read more

Our son has been going to Dreamtree Daycare for the past 16 months, he started right after his first birthday. I have to say, we were extremely lucky to have found this childcare option. Karen and Reyna are pretty much worshiped by our son :) He has developed into a social, humble, brave and kind kiddo and a lot of the credit goes to Karen and Reyna. I really like the option of us providing his food, it allows us to have some control on the nutrition at this young age. The daycare has circle time, outdoor time leading to an all round development. He is super excited to go in and meeting the teachers and his friends - this is a testimony that he feels safe while having fun. I cannot recommend the daycare enough. Thank you again Karen and Reyna for making this such a worthwhile experience! read more

My son started going to this daycare when he was 15 months old. He truly enjoys going there and playing with his buddies. There are a couple of things I admire about this place a) my son was never sleep trained but Ms Karen never created a fuss about that and adjusted to his needs while teaching him how to go to sleep on his own and at his own pace; b) they never forced any routine on my son but slowly made adjustments: c) the place is not super techy but they do make efforts to keep you posted on the kids routine and activities. The best part of the daycare is that it has all the kids of the same age and the teachers know what to expect with these babies/toddlers and how to manage them. I am happy we chose the Dream tree for my son! read more

I've checked out many daycares in the area and Dreamtree was the cleanest daycare I've ever seen (which is huge for us ever since covid started). Transition was a bit hard because my baby was with me 24/7 before starting daycare but after 3 weeks, he adjusted well and rarely cries! He looks for his friends right away when we drop him off. His social skills definitely improved and he eats better there than at home haha. My favorite part is looking at the pictures that Karen/Raena texts us. I believe they do have a lot of people interested so give them a call to schedule a tour quick! :) read more

I'm a really picky person in many ways, and a neat freak. Dreamtree daycare is very clean, very well maintained, open, spacious, and with bright natural light. I have visited 10 daycares in the greater SJ area. Dreamtree is the #1 in terms of cleanliness! Karen takes extremely good care of all the kids. She treated them like her own grand babies! My son got happier than ever since Day 1! I sent my son to Dreamtree day care when he was 8.5 months old. Covid makes everything more difficult especially when you have a super active baby at home. Thanks to Karen, my son learnt so many new things, and had tons of fun with his little new friends! He came home with big smiles everyday!!! I never saw him so happy before he attended this daycare! All the parents and teachers strictly follow stay-at-home orders. I know that kids usually get sick when they first started daycare. So I was worried in the beginning. But my son never got sick at all since he attended 4 months ago! If you are looking for a daycare, this is the BEST you can find in the area! read more

My son was here from 18 months to 2 years old. His vocabulary and language exploded during this time and he made some of his first friends here. My 1.5 yr old has been at Dreamtree for ~6 months now. My daughter is a highly allergic baby and has several food allergies including soy, nuts, dairy products. The fact that my child has not had a severe reaction due to cross-contamination at daycare is a testament to how clean and organized Karen and Reyna are at Dreamtree Daycare. Karen is truly experienced and knowledgable with childcare. She will help your child with their milestones such as taking their first steps, potty training etc, whenever your child is ready. She is also very passionate about caring for children, and she is a kind and loving teacher. Many parents have been repeat customers who bring their second child to her for her care. I truly feel lucky to have my child under Karen's care and my favorite things about Karen and Dreamtree are: -super clean -happy kids (which was the #1 thing that set off a bell in my motherly instincts that this was a good place for my child) -structured care in a home-based setting -simplicity in her business operations, which I appreciate! (i.e. I don't need an app or a daily report telling me how many dirty diapers my daughter had per day and at what time she went etc) Thank you Karen and Reyna for providing quality and loving care for my child! read more

My girl loves the place so much she squeals and wriggles with excitement when she sees the daycare and when I pick her up in the evening she doesn't want to leave. And to think I was expecting attachment issues since she was so young when I started dropping her off. I also get loads of pictures of her day there, and Karen is super communicative. For how happy my girl is there, I couldn't ask for more.. except maybe for some tips on what her magic sauce is! read more

My husband and I visited multiple daycares in the area for our 18-month-old, including a few operated by large companies, and Dreamtree was by far the cleanest and most attentive to its kids -- we were so lucky to snag a spot! Our daughter comes home happy and babbling new words every day, and we get plenty of text updates and pictures throughout the day. Karen and Raena are also excellent at communicating needs and concerns. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful team caring for our little girl :) read more

My child attends Dreamtree Daycare starting from 14-month and we really enjoyed our experience for the following reasons : 1. Karen (the owner) and Miss Reyna are exceptional caregivers. They have been running this family daycare for over 16 years. Miss Reyna was a pre-school teacher and experienced in teaching children of preschool age. They both are genuine, kind, patient and experienced. 2. This family based day care is warm and cheerful. Something great for very young children to develop a sense of safety, self esteem and confidence. 3. Children are happy. The first day I entered this place, kids run to me, waving and showing me their toys. Everyday, my husband picks up the kid, other children would also run to him, giving him a hug. Happiness is the primary factor I search for my child and I found it here. 4. Cost is efficient to the Silicon Valley standard. Reasonable monthly charge with extended hours (7am - 6pm). Breakfast and organic snacks are included in the tuition. With additional $50, lunch is provided as well. Typical holiday schedule with is no unusual off-time. 5. Good program with age appropriate activities. Kid comes home with new songs, words, numbers, dances ... They celebrate all the holidays and each kid's birthday. My child often brings home goodie bags and art/craft. 6. The room is very well maintained and often very clean. Good environment for the children. 7. The daycare is located on a quiet street, which makes parking /picking up/dropping off an easy and safe process. Overall, I highly recommend this daycare. read more

I delayed enrolling my child who was born in 2020 for over a year because of all the concerns and stresses with covid. I am really glad to have found Dreamtree. The house is well laid out with a good number of toys, educational posters, and an outdoor play area. The holiday schedule and hours are also very convenient. After starting, the transition was not as difficult as expected. Karen and Reyna greet the kids warmly and keep everything running efficiently. I love seeing photos from the daycare and picking up my daughter afterwards. You can tell the kids really have fun and get along and learn a ton! Highly recommend. read more

My son went to this daycare for 1 year(2 to 3 years) and unfortunately we had to switch him to preschool since we moved to south San Jose. But being his first day care, he enjoyed it fully. He learnt a lot of things everyday . He would come and tell us what all he did with his friends. Karen is extremely sweet and keeps the place very clean. (Best thing about her is she responds back to my message within few mins). I would choose this daycare for my second kid too. read more

I'm so glad to have found Dreamtree Daycare for my kids. Karen and Raena have been more than just teachers or care givers, and have gone above and beyond to ensure kids are happy, smart, and healthy. My kids have a well rounded personality and have plenty of friends thanks to this daycare. All kids at Dreamtree get decent circle time, outdoor play time, music, basics in education, a nap and healthy sugar free snacks. They serve plenty of fruits which my kids love. One other thing i can vouch for is cleanliness, Karen keeps everything very hygienic. In fact that was one of the reasons I enrolled my older kid, as I was looking for a hygienic daycare during the pandemic. Since then my second one has enrolled too. My kids are well fed and happy everyday. They look forward to going to daycare which is a testament to how they're treated. I'd recommend Dreamtree any day ! read more

My daughter has been at Dreamtree Daycare for over a year now when she started at 18 months. Our old daycare had closed down and we were lucky enough to find this one after searching multiple daycares. The transition was very smooth and our toddler did not have any issues starting at this new daycare. The owner, Karen, and Miss Reyna are such wonderful people and made her feel comfortable and always happy. I would get pictures of her happily playing during the day with her new friends and that gave me peace of mind. Karen always promptly responds to texts as well. Now, my daughter loves going to "school" every day and is excited to see her friends. She runs to the door every morning so she can say "Hi" to Karen and Miss Reyna. She also comes home with arts and crafts from that day and little goodie bags from monthly birthday celebrations and holidays. It is very obvious that Karen really cares about all of the children. The daycare itself is VERY clean, has good early drop off and later pick up hours, and they also offer to serve healthy meals/snacks which is a HUGE plus as it saves me time so I don't have to worry about packing meals every day. She also allows you to bring your own meals/snacks if you are so inclined. It is really important that not only is my child safe and happy, but that she is also learning something new. She comes home practicing saying days of the week, singing new songs, and some of the new words/phrases she says are so funny and amazing for a toddler. My favorite part of the day is seeing my daughter after school with a huge smile on her face. This is a great daycare and we are so grateful to have our daughter here! read more

I can't say enough good things about this daycare. We relocated to CA for work and I was so worried about having to find another daycare for my daughter. I have never had her in a home based daycare so that was new to me. Karen (the owner) is AWESOME! My little girl LOVES being there. When I pick her up she always has a smile on her face. Karen's home is very clean and tidy. There are cameras outside monitoring the house and she has 2 front doors that are locked at all times. She has a cute little backyard that is very well maintained. She feeds the children all organic meals and really cares about them. The teacher that works with her is so friendly and you can tell they both love what they do. Everyday I pick my daughter up Karen meets me at the door and is always so friendly and smiling. I don't have ANY concerns with sending my daughter there. If you can secure a spot for your little one consider yourself VERY lucky...I know we are. read more

My son has been attending Karen's daycare for about six months now since he was 21 months. I liked how clean it was when I first visited. It took my son about a week to adjust, but he's fine now. If he's picky and doesn't eat the food we bring, Karen will give him her food. She has good hours and the location is very convenient for us. Her prices are also reasonable. She would send me pictures of my son early on so I knew how he was doing. She always answered my texts to see how was doing and would let me know immediately if he was running a fever. She also helped my son transition from a bottle to a sippy cup. They would also have birthday parties for the kids that shared a birthday month. I would recommend Karen's daycare to a friend. read more

We were so lucky to find a spot in Dreamtree Daycare! The first time I went there I already knew Karen, the owner, is a very sweet person. And I was right. She always gives me a lot of good advice regarding my daughter and makes me feel that she cares about each child at the daycare like her own family. Reyna is also very nice, and I can tell they both take good care of my daughter since she is so happy to go there every morning (sometimes she's so excited to enter the door that she even forgets to say bye to me!). They are not only nice but also educational. I'm surprised to find how much my daughter has learned from Karen and Reyna, like lots of new words, manners and how to behave. All the kids there look happy and I can always see smiles on their faces when I go pick up my daughter. I think that proves how great their daycare is. Highly recommended!! read more

Dreamtree Daycare, is daycare, which I could only dream and I can say any Mom can dream. Before attending, I have visited more then 10 daycares, and something always was not right there for me. When I visited Dreamtree, the first thing, I was excited about, the cleanness of the place, so clean and the air is fresh, no any suffocating stale air with smell of food like in other daycares. Second thing I was excited about - Karen. When I talk to her, I realized, I would trust my baby to this woman.Unfortunately, there was a waiting list, and I had to wait if there would be free spot. Lucky day came, we got a spot, and I was very nervous, how transition of my 18 month baby would pass. My daughter was always with me, and she would never go to anyone, even to my husband for a long period of time. Some mistrust and nervousness appeared in me. I start to guard near the wall of the daycare house, asking hundreds of questions from Karen. After daycare hours making appointment with her to talk and know more. But after every talk and meeting with Karen, I would go with full heart. Karen, is one of the rare women who has a great heart, wonderful person who knows what she does. She is like mother relaxed me and answered patiently to all my questions. Transition went magically, my daughter cried maybe two or three times, and some days just a bit. After that, she herself, would wave bye-bye and ran to Karen. This was very shocking for me and my husband. There is also one more teacher in Dreamtree- Raena - very fair, kids adore her. Where needed she can be strict in terms of explaining things to kids like "sharing", "not fighting" and most of the time very loving and caring. She was sending me pictures and writing how my daughter doing during the day. On birthdays Karen and Raena, decorate a daycare with balloons and buy a cake, it was so pleasant to experience. Every time my daughter would not show up, in the evening I got sms from Karen, if everything okay. I have lots of moments where I get a proof that this is one of the best daycares, and I am very thankful for Karen and Raena for doing a great job. And also want to thank them for being patient with such a freaky Mom like me. My daughter is happy in Dreamtree and i am peaceful that she is safe there. I highly recommend Dreamtree! read more

Our daughter has been with Karen at Dreamtree Daycare for over a year (since she turned 1), and we have continually counted ourselves lucky to have found her. We had looked at many other in-home and "institutional" daycares, but they were all lacking in some way: some homes were unclean or chaotic and the "institutional" ones were impersonal, costly, and had inconsistent rotating staff. We love this daycare for the following reasons: 1 - The most important is that our daughter is always happy to go here, and loves Karen, Rayna (Karen's helper), and the other children. Karen likewise is always cheerful (which is amazing for being "on" for 11 hours with toddlers), and you can tell that she really enjoys what she does. 2 - Karen has the right experience, and is proactive and takes initiative in teaching our daughter. At almost 2 years old we were surprised at what she had learned (like reciting months or days of the week), and Karen introduced her to the potty since she recognized that our daughter was ready and interested in it (but which we've been dragging our feet on). 3 - The "tuition" cost and hours is also very reasonable; it's much less than the "institutional" daycare centers that often have rigid rules for drop-off and pick-up times. 4 - We also love the fact that for a nominal fee organic and home cooked meals are provided, which makes our life so much easier. 5 - Karen's home is also very tidy and orderly (especially after a day with the children), and she has a shoes off policy (which we appreciate). Choosing this daycare was an important decision for us, especially since this is where our daughter spends more than half of her waking hours. It's hard to put into words, let alone in a Yelp review, how special and great Karen and her Dreamtree Daycare is, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a quality in-home daycare. read more

As a first time mom, I am very very picky about who I let watch my son. I wanted to choose someone who would treat my son like family, and that I could consider family as well. Karen is extremely sweet and loving, and treats my son like he was her own grandson. Ms. Reyna is also very sweet, and my son absolutely adores the both of them. I would definitely recommend Dreamtree Daycare to any parents who are nervous about the transition into daycare, because it is more personable and warm here. You can tell that all of the children are happy here, because every time you come they all swarm to the door to greet you with smiles and hugs. read more

I'm a pretty private person, but I created a yelp account just to review DreamTree Daycare. It was because of Yelp that I was able to find Karen in the first place and I would like to pay it forward by recommending to anyone looking for childcare to give Karen a call. It can be hard and frustrating finding the right place to trust watching over your precious children, I was lucky that she had an opening and this is an honest review based on my own experience. First off, Karen is amazing! She has so much knowledge, patience, and love for children. She's seen it all, and can give you great advice for any kid, any age. I have sent both of my kids to her. My oldest started at 15 months, and my younger one is still there and started at 10 months old. My oldest is now 3.5 and in preschool and will still ask to go to "halmeoni's" house (grandma in Korean), even on the weekends. I can honestly say that I feel safe knowing my kids are with her. She will text pictures and give updates if you have any concerns. Her home daycare is clean and organized, with plenty of educational toys and books around. The walls are covered with the alphabet and numbers, and everything is clean! She has a spacious cool play yard in the back of the house with lots of room for the kids to run around. She currently has a former preschool teacher working there to get the kids engaged in learning and projects. Many times my kids come home with their own artwork and fun projects they worked on that day. She cooks fresh organic food for them (or you can bring in your own food), has cots for nap time, and even gets each child a little cake on their birthdays and celebrates their special day with a little party! Her hours are really great for those of us that have to work early, and she is very flexible in special cases. One time I had to drop off my oldest extremely early and she was so accommodating! Drop off is a breeze, and pick up is wonderful since they are always so happy there, we are greeted with nothing but smiles. At times its hard to get them to leave =) I am extremely grateful to have found DreamTree Daycare and Karen! There's no better feeling knowing your kids are safe, happy, growing, developing, and most importantly being loved everyday while you're away from them at work. Make sure you call to secure a spot for your little one, depending on your child's age her waiting lists can get long! read more

My daughter has been attending this daycare for 8 months now, and I couldn't be happier with Karen and Raena. They are wonderful, caring caregivers and my daughter loves going to school everyday. She is always excited to see her friends at daycare, and always has a big smile when we pick her up. The daycare has excellent hours (7am-6pm), and is extremely clean. As a mother, I can say that with only 1 child at home, I would not be able to keep white carpet as clean as the carpet at DreamTree. The tuition is extremely reasonable for the Bay Area. We are also very pleased with the instruction. My daughter is now 18 months and is constantly surprising us at home with new words, songs and expressions. I highly recommend this daycare! read more

We love Karen and Dreamtree daycare! Our two-year-old has been going here for six months now and we couldn't be happier. I can't speak to the quality of daycare but I'm writing this review about their customer service. I called this daycare center over and over again throughout my pregnancy in an attempt to get on the waiting list or at least get more information (at least 7-8 times). I left messages each time with my contact information yet no one ever called me back. I thought perhaps they didn't call back because my child wasn't born yet but I called recently after the birth of my son and still no one responded to me. I even looked up alternative phone numbers with no luck. It sounds like a great place if you're lucky enough for them to actually get in touch with you - unfortunately I wasn't and I have no idea why. Very frustrating. read more

Before my son joined Karen s daycare at 15 months, he has never been in the care anyone except his family. He had really bad stranger and separation anxieties. Finding a daycare for my son was one of the toughest things I ever had to do. I visited a few daycare places before I actually visited Karen's house. I immediately felt at with the way she had dedicated almost her entire house for the kids. The house was brightly lit and well organized with ample space for the kids inside the house and in the backyard. She has such a genuine and contagious smile that I look forward to picking up my son and having a small chat with her every day. Her house looks exactly like it is in the yelp photos every single day. It doesn't take anyone a long time to realize how sincerely she loves doing what she does and how much she loves the kids. My husband and I often talk about how she manages to smile even after a long and tiring day with toddlers and infants while we cannot manage just one toddler at home. She has another teacher working with her who does an amazing job at teaching and doing arts and crafts. Karen celebrated my son's second birthday with a cake, had a small celebration and sent me pictures of it (like she often does). Karen is really strict about nap time and my son falls asleep like clockwork even on the weekends. I trust my son with Karen like I would trust him with his grandmother. My son has become a social butterfly and I am just glad I found a spot at Dream Tree daycare. read more
