Dreamtree Daycare provides a loving and nurturing environment for kids. We love how Ms Karen and Ms Raena is attentive and caring, and always keeps the space clean and safe for the kiddos. In addition, we love how Ms Karen will send pictures or videos of our son playing daily. We truly feel lucky that we were able to find Dreamtree Daycare and I would highly recommend it to any parent.

Our daughter went to this daycare when she was 15 months old and stayed there till she was almost 3 years old. We had a positive experience with Ms. Karen and Raena. My daughter made a lot of friends and she has a lot of memories of this place. We are feeling very nostalgic when this comes to an end. Best thing was how clean and organized this daycare was. Also there is a morning class which we really liked. They give healthy snacks but sent our own lunch. They do have lunch option I believe. This daycare was great value for $$ too since they have the least number of days off during the year. And are open on several days during year end which was a lifesaver for us. I would definitely recommend this daycare!

Dreamtree daycare is the best! Mrs. Karen and mrs. Raena are very caring and sweet. The place is super clean. My daughter never got sick since she attended in Dec 2023 (now is April 2024). She is always home clean, happy, and smells really good. One thing I really appreciate is that my daughter learns so many words and knows a lot of things since coming here. She barely talked before but now she talks a lot. Every morning when I take her to this daycare, she is so happy even yelling happily and hug mrs. Karen. This place is kinda low tech since you won't have any app/software to access your children's pictures but mrs. Karen does send pictures occasionally. I feel very assured and pleased that my daughter can be taken care very carefully by mrs. Karen and mrs. Raena.

My back-then 10 mo was posing for Karen. He loves his Granny Karen. He hugs her every morning!

If it weren't for the need to move her on to preschool, we would happily let her stay here forever! This may not be the newest or fanciest daycare in the neighborhood, but it is always very clean, organized, and well run. The sick policy is also more flexible compared to chain daycares, where even minor symptoms can mean at least 24 hours at home. Surprisingly, during these two years my daughter has been sick fewer than five times. Both teachers, Nicole and Sandy, are absolutely fantastic. Sandy is incredibly caring and patient--she comforts the little ones by holding them, feeding them when needed, and soothing them to sleep during naps. Thanks to her, my daughter only cried for about 10 minutes on her very first morning, and after that she was happy to come every single day. Nicole is a wonderful educator--always energetic and engaging. My daughter has learned so much here, from Chinese and English colors, shapes, animals, and numbers, to singing many songs in both languages. When we went on preschool tours, one admissions officer even joked that she already knows enough to start kindergarten! Ally also goes above and beyond with communication. Each Sunday we receive the weekly lunch menu, and every day we get photos of meals and many snapshots of daily activities. Breakfast and dinner are also available if needed. At pickup time, parents receive a detailed daily report on paper, which we really appreciate. Overall, we couldn't recommend Ally's daycare more highly. It truly is a hidden gem in the area, and we feel so grateful for the care, love, and learning our daughter has experienced here.

We have considered moving out of Sunnyvale to be closer to our workplaces, but each time we go back to not wanting our son to change schools and wanting to be close to Little Sunshine if we have a second child. Here are my favorite things about LSHD: Loving and supportive environment - Cecilia, Yuri, Mari and Ana love and care for our son as if he was part of their own family. I was sad and nervous to leave my baby when my maternity leave ended, and knowing he was in a loving environment that was as close to being loved on at home was one of the only consolations. The team provides our son with homemade, delicious meals that he eats each day, despite barely eating anything we make at home. When he was a baby, they diligently followed our feeding requests and warmed breast milk brought from home and worked on introducing solids. Our son is very spirited and at times has had challenges sharing, taking turns, shouting etc. and they have worked with him on these skills with the utmost patience and support for his individual development. Cleanliness - Cecilia's home is incredibly clean and filled with colorful, engaging toys. I don't want to jinx it, but our son has also avoided any major illnesses commonly picked up at daycare and has not been sick constantly which we were very afraid of when starting child care. He also comes home clean every day, but on the weekends we probably go through two -three outfits a day! Not sure how they do it. Knowledgable - As other reviewers have stated, Cecilia is so empathetic and encouraging for first time parents. She will work through any concerns you may have for your child while carefully listening and offering gentle advice and reassurance. The staff has had over a decade of experience with so many children so it is invaluable to hear their perspective on any concerns you may have. Play based learning - I was not someone who was looking for an academic environment for my very young child and instead valued a loving and caring space for him to play and naturally learn. Our son has exceeded all my expectations for what he could know before the age of two. He can count and say his colors in English and Spanish, has learned about days of the week and the calendar, and can recognize individual letters and the sounds they make. Reliable and open communication - I think in 1.5 years there has been one single day of unplanned closure due to a power outage. They share their vacation schedule well in advance so you can appropriately plan. They share photos and text updates that make my day while at work. I highly recommend Little Sunshine Daycare for anyone looking for a safe, reliable, loving, nurturing and clean home environment for your child. Cecilia is truly passionate about early childhood education and care and I feel so lucky she provides this service to our community.

Ms Cici is a prompt communicator and gives us regular updates. As first-time parents, I can honestly say that they've been true partners every step of the way. We've had a wonderful experience throughout this time. He has transformed from a shy little one who was nervous around new people into a confident, outgoing and talkative toddler. The teachers are incredibly warm, affectionate, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping the kids learn and grow. Every day is filled with fun, age-appropriate, and engaging activities that keep the children excited about learning. I also really appreciate the values they instill in the kids . They learn to play well together, take turns, and wait patiently for their turn. This strong focus on social development helps the children build friendships easily and interact kindly with one another. The staff also goes above and beyond in celebrating holidays and festivals, making each occasion special and memorable for the kids. When we were first touring daycares, what stood out most to us about Tulip was how warm, knowledgeable, and hands-on the director, Ms. Nikki, was. She knew every child by name, how their day had gone, and seemed to have a deep understanding of each one's unique needs. We also loved how the school helped make the transition to daycare smooth by allowing parents to accompany their child for the first few days. This thoughtful approach really put our minds at ease. The classrooms are clean, bright, and spacious, and the shaded outdoor play area is perfectly designed for all the different age groups. I especially appreciate that the infants have their own dedicated play area. The school also provides detailed daily updates through Procare, so we always know what our son ate, how long he napped, and how much he enjoyed his activities. The meals they serve are nutritious, wholesome, and include a nice variety of cuisines. I'd like to give a special shoutout to Ms. Jenny (from the infant class) for doing a phenomenal job connecting with the little ones, engaging them in creative ways, and offering us valuable feedback on how to support their development at home. I'm also very grateful to Ms. Gina (from the preschool class) for caring so deeply about each child's growth and taking a personalized approach to help them learn and strengthen any skills they may need extra support with. She provides detailed feedback every day and designs thoughtful, engaging activities to encourage learning and development. Their passion for their work truly shines through. We feel so lucky to have found Tulip Kids Academy and can't recommend it highly enough!

Now that she is a month away from being 2 years old, our daughter has grown and learned so much since being in this school. I remember my first day dropping her off and she cried for about two weeks before she was able to finally transition, and man, that was rough for a first time mom. But the school provides an app with updates via messages and pictures of their daily activities (arts and crafts, sharing day, circle time), which helped settle those nerves especially in the early days. Now, my daughter walks up herself to daycare and waves mommy goodbye. It's definitely a proud mommy moment to see her grow to be independent, while also giving her the gift of learning early in a school setting and making friends along the way. I also have to add - the teacher to children ratio here also makes me feel confident my daughter is getting the attention and care she needs from the teachers - and you can also tell the teachers truly care about the children at the school. I love working with Ms Katie on the admin parent side, and I could tell Mrs Cho and Mrs Choi both adore my daughter. Santa Clara Montessori also provides summer school activities for two weeks, which included some water activities which my daughter absolutely loved! Finally, I have to admit, while childcare in the Bay Area is expensive, Santa Clara Montessori provides flexibility and options which works for our family. Rather enrolling our daughter in the full time program, we have been enrolled in the part time program, first with three days and then expanding to the four day program. This works great for our family financially, and we're happy Santa Clara Montessori provides this option for us. We're so happy we found a place we could trust leaving our daughter while we're at work, while also being a place that helps our daughter continue to learn and grow.

This review is long overdue!…read more My son went to Tulip from age 2.5 to 3.5, and although as a pandemic baby and a naturally sensitive kid he had a very rough transition, this was in no way the fault of his teachers, who were very warm and patient. He started off in the junior class before transitioning to pre-K, and I liked the teachers for both! The front desk (Ms. Celina, so sweet!) and all his teachers were consistently kind and had such great activities for the kids; they celebrated different cultures and had themes for each week, and also periodically assessed his skills to see if he knew his numbers, letters, shapes etc. He went already potty trained (though accidents happened), but the Junior class teachers were always patient and kind and I would 100% trust them to potty train a kid themselves. As for the Pre-K class, one of the teachers filmed my son singing "You Are My Sunshine" and sent it to us and it remains one of my greatest parenting treasures. Thank you so much for that, guys! And DID I MENTION....they FEED YOUR KID!! Having since moved to a school where I have to pack lunch and three snacks a day, let me just say, I MISS THOSE DAYS when we could roll out of bed and go straight downstairs without even worrying about breakfast!! The food was healthy too. Could have wished for a two week rotation just for more variety, but gosh, what a blessing not to have to constantly prepare and pack and wash etc. I wish the school had more space for kids to run around, and it would be great if there were academics other than worksheets, but on the whole I think Tulip does a great job managing a lot of kids in a relatively small space and preparing them for kindergarten.
