My daughter has been Dream Tree Daycare since she was 6 months old, she's now 14 months old... I can't say enough good things about Ms. Karen and Raena. They have been nothing short of amazing. There are a couple of things I admire about this place a) my son was never sleep trained but Ms Karen never created a fuss about that and adjusted to his needs while teaching him how to go to sleep on his own and at his own pace; b) they never forced any routine on my son but slowly made adjustments: c) the place is not super techy but they do make efforts to keep you posted on the kids routine and activities. I've checked out many daycares in the area and Dreamtree was the cleanest daycare I've ever seen (which is huge for us ever since covid started). Transition was a bit hard because my baby was with me 24/7 before starting daycare but after 3 weeks, he adjusted well and rarely cries! He looks for his friends right away when we drop him off. His social skills definitely improved and he eats better there than at home haha. My favorite part is looking at the pictures that Karen/Raena texts us. My daughter began at Dreamtree during the COVID-19 pandemic. Naturally the transition caused us some worry. I'm pleased to share that in the half year we've been sending her to the daycare, not one child or family has fallen ill. Breakfast and organic snacks are included in the tuition. With additional $50, lunch is provided as well. Typical holiday schedule with is no unusual off-time. 5. My daughter has been at Dreamtree Daycare for over a year now when she started at 18 months. The transition was very smooth and our toddler did not have any issues starting at this new daycare. My son has been attending Karen's daycare for about six months now since he was 21 months. I liked how clean it was when I first visited. It took my son about a week to adjust, but he's fine now. If he's picky and doesn't eat the food we bring, Karen will give him her food. She has good hours and the location is very convenient for us. Her prices are also reasonable. We were so lucky to find a spot in Dreamtree Daycare! The first time I went there I already knew Karen, the owner, is a very sweet person. And I was right. She always gives me a lot of good advice regarding my daughter and makes me feel that she cares about each child at the daycare like her own family. Dreamtree Daycare, is daycare, which I could only dream and I can say any Mom can dream. Before attending, I have visited more then 10 daycares, and something always was not right there for me. When I visited Dreamtree, the first thing, I was excited about, the cleanness of the place, so clean and the air is fresh, no any suffocating stale air with smell of food like in other daycares. Second thing I was excited about - Karen. When I talk to her, I realized, I would trust my baby to this woman.Unfortunately, there was a waiting list, and I had to wait if there would be free spot. Lucky day came, we got a spot, and I was very nervous, how transition of my 18 month baby would pass. My daughter was always with me, and she would never go to anyone, even to my husband for a long period of time. Some mistrust and nervousness appeared in me. I start to guard near the wall of the daycare house, asking hundreds of questions from Karen. After daycare hours making appointment with her to talk and know more. But after every talk and meeting with Karen, I would go with full heart. Karen, is one of the rare women who has a great heart, wonderful person who knows what she does. She is like mother relaxed me and answered patiently to all my questions. Transition went magically, my daughter cried maybe two or three times, and some days just a bit. After that, she herself, would wave bye-bye and ran to Karen. This was very shocking for me and my husband. There is also one more teacher in Dreamtree- Raena - very fair, kids adore her. Where needed she can be strict in terms of explaining things to kids like "sharing", "not fighting" and most of the time very loving and caring. She was sending me pictures and writing how my daughter doing during the day. On birthdays Karen and Raena, decorate a daycare with balloons and buy a cake, it was so pleasant to experience. Every time my daughter would not show up, in the evening I got sms from Karen, if everything okay. I have lots of moments where I get a proof that this is one of the best daycares, and I am very thankful for Karen and Raena for doing a great job. Our daughter has been with Karen at Dreamtree Daycare for over a year (since she turned 1), and we have continually counted ourselves lucky to have found her. We had looked at many other in-home and "institutional" daycares, but they were all lacking in some way: some homes were unclean or chaotic and the "institutional" ones were impersonal, costly, and had inconsistent rotating staff. We love this daycare for the following reasons: 1 - The most important is that our daughter is always happy to go here, and loves Karen, Rayna (Karen's helper), and the other children. Karen likewise is always cheerful (which is amazing for being "on" for 11 hours with toddlers), and you can tell that she really enjoys what she does. 2 - Karen has the right experience, and is proactive and takes initiative in teaching our daughter. At almost 2 years old we were surprised at what she had learned (like reciting months or days of the week), and Karen introduced her to the potty since she recognized that our daughter was ready and interested in it (but which we've been dragging our feet on). 3 - The "tuition" cost and hours is also very reasonable; it's much less than the "institutional" daycare centers that often have rigid rules for drop-off and pick-up times. 4 - We also love the fact that for a nominal fee organic and home cooked meals are provided, which makes our life so much easier. 5 - Karen's home is also very tidy and orderly (especially after a day with the children), and she has a shoes off policy (which we appreciate). Choosing this daycare was an important decision for us, especially since this is where our daughter spends more than half of her waking hours. I'm a pretty private person, but I created a yelp account just to review DreamTree Daycare. It was because of Yelp that I was able to find Karen in the first place and I would like to pay it forward by recommending to anyone looking for childcare to give Karen a call. It can be hard and frustrating finding the right place to trust watching over your precious children, I was lucky that she had an opening and this is an honest review based on my own experience. First off, Karen is amazing! She has so much knowledge, patience, and love for children. She's seen it all, and can give you great advice for any kid, any age. I have sent both of my kids to her. My oldest started at 15 months, and my younger one is still there and started at 10 months old. My oldest is now 3.5 and in preschool and will still ask to go to "halmeoni's" house (grandma in Korean), even on the weekends. I can honestly say that I feel safe knowing my kids are with her. She will text pictures and give updates if you have any concerns. Her home daycare is clean and organized, with plenty of educational toys and books around. The walls are covered with the alphabet and numbers, and everything is clean! She has a spacious cool play yard in the back of the house with lots of room for the kids to run around. She currently has a former preschool teacher working there to get the kids engaged in learning and projects. Many times my kids come home with their own artwork and fun projects they worked on that day. She cooks fresh organic food for them (or you can bring in your own food), has cots for nap time, and even gets each child a little cake on their birthdays and celebrates their special day with a little party! Her hours are really great for those of us that have to work early, and she is very flexible in special cases. One time I had to drop off my oldest extremely early and she was so accommodating! Drop off is a breeze, and pick up is wonderful since they are always so happy there, we are greeted with nothing but smiles. At times its hard to get them to leave =) I am extremely grateful to have found DreamTree Daycare and Karen! I can't speak to the quality of daycare but I'm writing this review about their customer service. I called this daycare center over and over again throughout my pregnancy in an attempt to get on the waiting list or at least get more information (at least 7-8 times). I left messages each time with my contact information yet no one ever called me back. I thought perhaps they didn't call back because my child wasn't born yet but I called recently after the birth of my son and still no one responded to me. I even looked up alternative phone numbers with no luck. We love Karen and Dreamtree daycare! Our two-year-old has been going here for six months now and we couldn't be happier. Our toddler is always happy and laughing every time we pick her up, she will wake up grouchy and when she finds out that she gets to go to "school" she gets very excited and her mood changes. Karen feeds her healthy snacks and meals and they keep them busy with various activities and play. She comes home all the time with new words, new songs, and has made many friends. Before my son joined Karen s daycare at 15 months, he has never been in the care anyone except his family. He had really bad stranger and separation anxieties. Finding a daycare for my son was one of the toughest things I ever had to do. I visited a few daycare places before I actually visited Karen's house. I immediately felt at with the way she had dedicated almost her entire house for the kids. The house was brightly lit and well organized with ample space for the kids inside the house and in the backyard. She has such a genuine and contagious smile that I look forward to picking up my son and having a small chat with her every day. Her house looks exactly like it is in the yelp photos every single day. It doesn't take anyone a long time to realize how sincerely she loves doing what she does and how much she loves the kids. My husband and I often talk about how she manages to smile even after a long and tiring day with toddlers and infants while we cannot manage just one toddler at home. She has another teacher working with her who does an amazing job at teaching and doing arts and crafts. Karen celebrated my son's second birthday with a cake, had a small celebration and sent me pictures of it (like she often does). Karen is really strict about nap time and my son falls asleep like clockwork even on the weekends. I trust my son with Karen like I would trust him with his grandmother. My son has become a social butterfly and I am just glad I found a spot at Dream Tree daycare. read more
