Great for big portions, bacon, eggs and toast type meal - I don't think I saw pancakes on the menu though which was disappointing. Only thin crepes or waffles. My ham and swiss cheese omelette was tasty, and very generous with the cheese, however the egg was dry. The fresh pressed orange juice was also too sour for my liking. The highlight was the toast, thick, moist buttered bread topped off with my choice of honey and jam. Portion and price wise, most things off the menu are affordable however 5$ for a glass of juice seemed like a little much. I wouldn't come here every weekend, but it's good for a home style breakfast if you're on vacation.

Think comfort food, home cooking, unbelievably great prices and no nonsense service. They have a choice of lunch time specials that really give u a bang for your buck. They had two soupe du jour's the day I was there which were both excellent and one of the specials was soup, Shepard's pie, desert and a coffee for 9 of 10 dollars to give u an idea. If I lived in St Agathe, I'd be a regular too.

Not enough flavour but edible. - Linguini w Crab and garlic: linguini was fine, the garlic sauce was solid, but the crab was mysteriously flavourless. Large portion - so had leftovers that eventually got eaten. - coffee: fine. My daughter had a kids meal. The lasagna she had looked like a disaster coming in - but my daughter ate 75% of it without complaint. Her ice cream was pretty disgusting so she passed on that (we went to an ice cream parlour nearby instead). Ste-Agathe is a beautiful place and I have fond memories of the area (my mother grew up there). However, this is not a foodie destination - which is ok. This restaurant is representative of that (I.e., it is not a local outlier in either direction). In Montreal, this place would never survive though. It might not survive in Laval.

The interior has more of a bar vibe than a brunch vibe (but that's my personal opinion). The place was quiet since most people were seated outdoors. The goods: I would love to jump on board with all of the 5-star reviews but the reality is that the food here is basic. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with bacon and this came with potatoes. The breakfast sandwich was made with no egg. The waiter quickly rectified the situation by going to get a fried egg which he brought to my table. That being said, the breakfast sandwich had zero seasoning and was therefore quite bland even with the bacon. The potatoes were nicely fried and they were not oily but again, no seasoning whatsoever. It was a bit disappointing. The saving grace was the coffee, which was delicious. Service: OK Price point: Pricing is average and on par with most places.

I was extremely ill for the rest of my evening as there must've been gluten in the sauces. The ordering system tells guests to let the staff know about dietary restrictions and allergies, but if the itemsa were marked with allergy restrictions (ie, gluten free, dairy free, etc) - this would alleviate stress on the servers and the delays in getting answers I asked 3 different servers when they brought food over if items were gluten free - this is frustrating for me as I don't want to delay others getting their food with having the servers asking the kitchen constantly. As much as I love the food here, being sick all night is not my idea of a good evening. Unfortunately, this restaurant is not prepared for people with dietary restrictions and allergies. g
