These health food shops, or should I say snack shops, seem to have popped up everywhere in the last few years (probably thanks to Gillian McKeith), with Julian Graves being one of my favourites.
Even if you sit on your backside all day and exercise just once a month (to the shops on a Saturday) you can give yourself am instant moral boost by walking around this shop and purchasing several packets of dried fruit, pretzels and nuts in the hope that it'll replace the cakes and biscuits.
Unfortunately, at least for me, it's a rather false economy as the packets are so large you end up gorging 500 grams before you know it. Still, they do have an amazing range at very cheap prices. Pistachios and dates are amongst my favourites but I have been known to buy a kilo of liquorice allsorts from time to time.. read more
