I've never been to a dental office this clean and welcoming. Everyone is so friendly. I am dental phobic and Dr Lee and staff made me feel very at home. Richard worked on my fillings and crowns. I had a failing crown and he replaced it with a new one. It feels great! I highly recommend this dental office to everyone! read more

This place sucks. They overcharge and I've seen multiple people go to the front desk and ask why they are being charged so much. They also will make you wait for way too long - I arrived for my appointment time and had to wait for 15-20 minutes the first time, second time I waited almost an hour. Overall this place needs to get their shit together. read more

My friend is too scared to write a review so I WILL. This establishment is discriminatory and racist towards people of color. My friend went in for an appointment for a screening and cleaning, the front receptionist was extremely rude and did not greet her in a nice manner. Not only was she waiting an hour to be seen but they had no urgency to get her back when she asked about her wait time. There are no people of color working here which should tell you something already now that it's 2022. I am the owner of two hair salons here in Walnut Creek and definitely will not be referring any of my clientele to this establishment. Stay clear of this place read more

Dr. Julia and her staff do outstanding work. They even let me watch Formula 1 while they fixed my teeth. I appreciate you guys..

I want to start by saying that Dr. Lee and her team did an excellent job. The staff were all very competent and friendly. They were quick to answer any questions I had and made me feel at ease during my appointment. I got a couple veneers for my teeth and Dr. Lee did everything to perfection. She is extremely talented in what does. My smile looks better than ever! It was quite a long procedure, but Dr. Lee was so patient and made sure I was happy with my results. In addition, Richard and Raul were great too. They made sure I was comfortable and were extremely thorough during my treatment. This place has amazing customer service. I would definitely recommend this place if you need to get some cosmetic work done on your teeth. read more

I would just like to say thank you to Julia Lee, DDS for your compassion and professionalism. I didn't check Yelp before going to see Dr. Julia but thus far my initial consultation visit was great! John was my coordinator and he was super friendly and helpful (turned on Netflix while I waited). I came in thinking I wanted to just get a full new smile but Dr. Julia took her time to first ask me what I wanted my smile to look like and my goals and then she walked me through each tooth, any concerns she saw and then the plan of action. Her goal was to get my teeth mouth healthy then work on cosmetic and other work needed. My first treatment is around the corner so I'll update after!!! read more

I have been going to Dr Julia Lee's office for several years and love this office. I had 2 implants put in a couple years ago and I am extremely happy with the end result even though it took a while to achieve. I had had this gap on both sides since I was 8 years old and as a result some teeth had migrated and my jaw was angled forward. The implants had to be redone twice because in order to fill the gap it needed to be quite large and it felt like I had a marble in my mouth. Richard was determined to make it right and was very patient, professional and sympathetic to my concerns. The office eventually sent it to an outside lab to make a special crown for me and it finally fit correctly. Thank you Richard for listening to me and the entire office for seeing this to a successful outcome. My husband and I also go to this office for general dentistry and highly recommend it. Thank you. read more

I just underwent a 5 month process to have a dental implant done on one of my front teeth. I had gone to 3 dentists prior to Dr Lee and just didn't feel comfortable with them. On my first visit to Dr Lee she was able to see that my tooth had a pocket of bacteria growing behind one tooth because she has state of the art equipment. None of the other dentists found that. On that alone I made my decision to go with her and with a discount she was running it was actually cheaper than all the others. The staff was absolutely incredible. Professional and kind always describing exactly what they were doing. Incredibly I never once felt any pain during the whole process. Not even the shots of novocaine. I actually enjoyed being treated by them. I felt more like an important guest than a patient. As for the results, you can't get closer to perfect. We bleached my teeth before matching the tooth and the color match is spot on. The tooth looks amazing. I broke this tooth when I was ten and have had to replace it 3 times now before Dr Lee convinced me the right thing to do was an implant that would last 15-20 years before the crown would need to be replaced. I literally could not be happier. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Not only are they a top notch dental practice, they are all stellar human beings and it shows in their professionalism and their work. Before and after pictures to come. read more

I went to Dr. Lee for an emergency referral after having many traumatizing dental experiences and she, her staff, and the office all put me immediately at ease. It's almost like walking into a spa it's so beautiful. The hygienist stays with you the whole time and even helped set up my appointment with a specialist, it was so easy! Again, Dr. Lee was extremely understanding of my anxiety and took the time to explain exactly what was going on and what needed to be done in a way that made sense. Schedule seems pretty flexible too; granted, I was an emergency case, but I got in as a new patient same day and scheduled a follow up visit around my work schedule. Best dental experience ever! Pro Tip: they do sedation if you need help with anxiety read more

Going to the dentist has always been a bit scary for me, because of personal past experiences at other dental offices in the past. Dr. Lee is by far the best dentist and am so greatful to have been able to find her while looking online trying to find a dentist for the work i was looking for. At my consultation i knew right away that i didn't want to go to any other dentist not only was she amazing her team was to down to the receptionist. I have never felt more welcomed and comparable than i did in her office. Given my personal dental problems I am very insecure to show anyone and I dident have that insecure feeling with Dr. Lee. She was very reassuring and very thorough making sure the end result was exactly what i wanted. Hands down i would recommend Dr. julia Lee and her associates for any and all dental work, especially if your like me and have had unfortunate past experiences. Dr. Julie Lee and her associates are very down to earth non judgmental and very reassuring putting there patients needs and comfort first at all times. I really hope this review reaches and helps someone who is in the same position i was once in, I know all to well just how scary going to the dentist can be. that is why i made sure to take the time to write this review. Good luck, Vanessa Marie read more

I did my own research to find a provider that could do all the procedures that I needed in one office. I am very happy from start to finish. I had an old crown that was no longer a candidate for a replacement. Dr. Julia Lee and her staff have been wonderful. They were able to get me in quickly and my tooth had to be pulled. The staff have been extremely caring and explained each and every step. I got my replacement last week and am very pleased with the new tooth. I want to commend Dr Julia Lee, her assistant Raul, Dr Danny Lee, Richard (made me a wonderful fake tooth and subsequently cemented my new, pretty implanted tooth), Joshua (who explained the monetary fees and has always been a pleasure when answering all my questions) and the front office staff. Dr. Julia has been a real hero to me. The entire amount of time invested for me is worth the complete restoration. I highly recommend this office for a really knowledgable staff, an awesome specialist in her field and last, but certainly least, great results. read more

I went into Dr. Julia Lee's office in Walnut Creek for the first time in 7/21/21 and was given a treatment plan that included, extraction, bone graft, sinus lift and and tooth implant that would cost $7,303 over the spam of 8 months and 4 visits. $3,500+ and two visits later they sat me down and said that the Sinus Augment is going to cost another $3,000. The Treatment case was already given to me and that is what pulled me in. I like the plan and i was paying out of pocket. If i was presented the whole price from the beginning i would not have used this location to get my dental implant. If I were to proceed with this office I would be spending $11,000 for one tooth implant. This doesn't seem fair or even ok to draw customers in with good prices and a discount then tack on thousands of dollars. I was drawn to this place because I received promotional mail that came to my home and offered me a $500 discount on implants. I never received that discount either. Dr. Lee should be held accountable for the unethical tactics this practice uses to bring in customers and for them to honor there treatment plans. I walked in wanting a nice smile and ended leaving feeling like shit. It's too bad bc I liked the way they treated me initially. I've paid thousands of dollars here and I can't get the Dr on phone to answer these concerns. read more

March 23rd, 2021 I went to Dr. Julia Lee to inquire about a full upper denture as I'm a senior and needed a solution to replace a failing multiple tooth upper partial appliance. They took full mouth x-rays and after Dr. Julia Lee gave me a thorough oral exam she explained that a full upper denture would not be a good solution for me. Due to the structure of the roof of my mouth a full upper denture would have been painful and uncomfortable. She suggested a new type of one piece upper partial that uses a snap on mechanism that will keep it secure and comfortable. Throughout the entire process Dr. Julia Lee and all of her staff were kind, thoughtful and efficient. Dr. Julia Lee is an exceptional dentist with excellent educational credentials and many years of experience with the most current dental technology and procedures. Her husband, Mr. Danny Lee and Richard also assisted with some areas of my dental appliance and they were also very pleasant and highly skilled in everything they did. I appreciate them both very much as well. I can't recommend Dr. Julia Lee and her office highly enough and can assure you that she cares deeply about each of her patients. I'm so grateful for my final upper partial and have my confidence and smile back thanks to Dr. Julia Lee. Richard H. read more

I started going here a couple of years ago. I really liked Dr. Lee and she has extracted two of my wisdom teeth in her office. I did NOT like the extra $200 for meds into each socket to prevent dry socket, which insurance will not cover.Since then, I did some research and found many other ways to prevent dry socket which don't cost anything. Every time I went to the office I saw a different person. Dr Lee does surgery and cosmetics, her husband Dr Danny does fillings and crowns, as does another female dentist and Richard, the dental equivalent of a PA does the same. This is a business model practice, not patient centered. No one knows you when you come in. Different hygienist each time. They lead you to the payment area after each treatment. I got a bill, after I paid, saying I owed more just about every time.. Richard, very sweet, replaced some old fillings that hurt for three weeks afterwards and he put in a yellow color darker than my tooth. My gums were gray and sloughed as well. The whole time he was working in my mouth he kept looking up, out the door, to see what was going on. This last episode was epic. Had a terrible toothache on a Friday. Called The office and was told there wouldn't be anybody there till Monday and I should go to the emergency room. As if the emergency room does root canals or extractions!! I put myself on antibiotics and pain meds. Why is no one on call? No emergency services? I was upset! Got an appt for an evaluation the following Monday. First they told me it was my upper wisdom tooth( which she extracted a year ago)and all the pain was in the lower one, then they couldn't schedule me for a few more days. I decided to shop around. Found a new dentist, referred me to an oral surgeon who took me right away. Tooth pulled in less than 5 seconds! Really! Other wisdom teeth at Dr. Lee's took half an hour and were cracked in pieces. New Surgeon never mentioned needing additional $200 treatment, just went over post op care. Also new dentist went in on Thanksgiving morning to treat a friend with emergency problem. Now that is service and patient centered!!!! read more

I saw Dr. lee several years ago four a dental implant. She convinced me that my current dentist was not competent so I switched. I'm very cost conscious and spent quite a bit of money (thousands) on the implant. But what upset me most was an extra charge by her husband after agreeing on the cost of a cleaning because they didn't accept my insurance. After the cleaning he came in, took a minute to look in my mouth, then charged me an extra $50. For what? He did nothing. I had no problem with the cost of the cleaning, but it was like he was trying to pad the bill. I complained and I believe they may have removed the charge, but I really don't recall. I decided to cut ties as I didn't trust them anymore. I asked to be removed from their mailing list and moved on. Since that time I have received many solicitations for service. Each time I would unsubscribe only to receive more emails. I even called the office on several occasions asking them to remove me once and for all. The last time I was so upset about it that I told them I would leave a negative (but true) review. I hadn't heard from them again....until today. So, true to my word here is the review of my experience with Dr. Lee's office. If you don't mind being harangued with never ending emails, or possibly being overcharged for a quick glance in your mouth then Dr. Lee might be the one for you. Otherwise, run for the hills. read more

Today at work, my front tooth broke. I called Dr. Julia Lee's office and shared I was on my way to the office. The service that I received was superior from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. The situation was reviewed and handled with knowledge and professionalism from the beginning. Dr. Motoyasu was so helpful in explaining what needed to be done. Angie was amazing in getting the process ready for a temporary tooth. Raol was terrific in realizing with the work that I do, he needed to have Richard assist with the attaching of the temporary tooth so that it would be fixed. Richard was beyond amazing with his expertise, knowledge and high-end skill set in attaching the temporary tooth. I can now do my work with my clients with a hugh smile and confidence. Dr. Lee's staff saved the day Big Time for me. I am so appreciative. Josh went overboard in seeking to find a convenient time for me to return for the next step. All were supportive, service-oriented, professional, personable, high-end skill sets for the situation. Above all, I so appreciated their understanding my of work situation. First went to Dr. Julia Lee after a close friend of mine recommended her, and the rest is history. Had been going to the same dentist for years and years (as in 50+), and continued to go there because of my long-term relationship with my dentist (as well as the dentist that retired before, and sold her the practice), as well as her staff. The reason that I was considering making a change is that my previous dentist didn't invest any money into her practice...as in, they still have spit sinks (to this day, I might add!), and still practiced dentistry the same way that they have been doing since the 1970's. (Not to mention the exact same decor that the previous dentist had done 40+ years ago...which had more to do with the fact about how you feel when going into the office, not about the practice itself.) Additionally, I have primary dental insurance through my employer, and carry a secondary policy as well. My previous dentist wouldn't help me to maximize my annual dental benefits (even after asking - repeatedly!), and - for instance - what could have been just a crown, would turn into an implant, because the tooth that should have been crowned months before, wasn't, so the tooth subsequently cracked and had to be extracted. Everything was always REactive, as opposed to PROactive. Not so with Dr. Julia Lee. Since I have been going to her, I have been able to get all of my old amalgam fillings replaced (usually with a minimal co-pay, other times with no money out-of-pocket), simply by working closely with their administrative staff to MAXIMIZE the dental benefits received annually. They had also suggested crowning some of my teeth that had very old filings, so that I don't have to wait until the tooth breaks (which it will, eventually) and go through both the year-long process (as well as the $6,000 that it costs) of getting an implant. They genuinely care about your oral health just as much as you do - trust me! Best of all, Dr. Julia Lee has invested thousands (and THOUSANDS) of dollars into her practice, employing the very latest technology and practices of modern dentistry. As an example, as opposed to sitting in the dental chair for hours of painful scraping just to get through a routine teeth cleaning (and I get my teeth cleaned every four months), my amazing dental hygienist, Sam, uses a device that I would simply refer to as a "power-washer for your teeth"...first of all, removing WAY more than what conventional scraping by itself will remove, and secondly, reducing the amount of scraping required to the absolute minimum. Lastly, I have recommended others to Dr. Julia Lee for their dental care - including my 87-year-old father, now a patient of Dr. Julia Lee's and absolutely ecstatic about the care that HE has received - and have said the same thing to each of them: "Just go to Dr. Julia Lee ONCE...for a teeth cleaning...and if you don't agree with me that it was the very best experience that you have EVER had with a dentist, I promise not to bring it up, ever again." It's the same thing that I would say to you, reading his review. Simply amazing, and truly one of the most professionally-run businesses I have ever come across...and how lovely to have it be my dentist, Dr. Julia Lee! read more

Long story. First visit was for cleaning and xrays. Hygienist caused so much pain that I finally asked her to stop. One tooth has never been the same. To treat the subsequent damage, doctor recommended a $1000 gum treatment, which she swore would "heal" the damage. [She has twice refused to examine my gums post treatment.] Instead, the troubled tooth became infected. Visited doctor again; she suggested I gargle with salt water and that I now needed a crown ($1500). A few days later, I awoke with a mouthful of pus. Went to another dentist, who prescribed antibiotics. He indicated that the tooth was severely traumatized, likely by the hygienist. The appointments in Lee's office are scheduled only a few minutes each, so she hardly has time to ask, to listen, to consider. Everyone wears an ear piece,so you can't get their attention because they are always listening to someone else while in your presence. Doc flies in; looks at tooth; pronounces a two-second recommendation and then flies out. i have had to remind her of previous concerns. After so many visits, she still doesn't recollect previous discussion. I can't say enough about how bad this experience was. read more
