I just moved from Orange County to San Bernardino due to a Great new job opportunity. I was little worry not to find one of my favorite Healthy Drinks "Juice it Up" a location close by, but luckily I found this great one right across street from the City Hall of San Bernardino. I always have a Very Good experience with their Juices every where I go, this specific location the drinks are very good, rich and delicious as usual. I still love juice it up but NOT this location. This is the last time I will come back here. The Asian guy is the owner and he is ALWAYS such a penny pinching cheapskate! He puts in a ton of ice and not enough fruit so it always tastes watered down and melts in 3 minutes and becomes straight up juice. I'm so sick of it. Over $7 for a medium lava flow and you never make the smoothies like you're supposed to! What a rip off!! His wife makes them a little better but unfortunately I always end up getting him and I'm sick of him doing that so I'm not coming back anymore. Absolutely do not recommend coming to this location. The owners (a married couple) are very rude people. I've witnessed them speak to their employees with so much disrespect in front of customers and lately the disrespect has made it's way toward the customers. I gave it some time and decided to try it again today. Once again, it's just the wife because no one wants to work for them. I asked her to give me a minute, as I was reading what my choice of smoothie comes with. She waited 10 seconds before snapping at me, "WHAT YOU WANT?" I stepped up as. Asked for a protein smoothie. It doesn't specify there's choices of protein types. Through her thick mask and an acrylic shield, she asked what kind of protein I wanted (although that's not what it sounded like). I asked her to repeat herself and she rolled her eyes at me and snapped "SOY OR WHEY" except it didn't sound like "whey" so I thought she was talking about milk. So I said whole milk is fine. She made this scoffing sigh noise and snaps again "WHAT YOU WANT SOY OR WHEY PROTEIN". I put my card back in my wallet and said "Nevermind, I don't want to order from you." And walked out. I still come back every month or every other month for my acai berry bowl run. I get at least 2, sometimes 3 or 4, and this one time, I bought 6 acai berry bowls. The employees here won't say hello or thank you or even acknowledge you're alive, even if you ask a question. I've come here about 10 times and the first time, I thanked them for being there because it's the only juice bar near my work. And the girl didn't bother to answer me. The older employees, perhaps the owners, were polite. But everyone else- I don't get it. I'm still confused why they can't speak to anyone. The juice was decent - not really sure how bad you could mess up with a juicer - but the small was quite pricey. The large would have been a better value but I just didn't feel like shelling out another $2. This juice it up has been in this location for many years and has been in pretty bad service under the management of the previous owner (hence the bad reviews). It has recently been under new management starting from November 2015 and the quality and service have improved TREMENDOUSLY! The new owner, Mr. Sun Jang and his family run the establishment now and are very welcoming and friendly. I just needed to clear the air because the reviews down there were for the previous owner. Aside from that, this Juice it Up is a solid 5 stars for me. Very quick service. They are very nice and will substitute ingredients on request. The fruits and vegetables are fresh daily. If you don't feel like drinking a smoothie, you can turn any classic or veggie smoothie into an Acai bowl with granola and bananas. You should also try the wheatgrass and ginger shots if you are looking to detox. The worst juice it up! EVER. Every time I go, I look up the hours to make sure they don't bust some crap about them being closed. For example today, I searched up Juice It Up in the San Bernardino location and it states it closes at 8pm! I get there 5:57 pm and they tell me they are closed at 6pm and I told them online it says 8pm! It's soooo frustrating trying to come to this place. It's not the first time they do this. The quality of their bowls are great but I'm giving three stars because I ordered a lava flow bowl which the lava flow smoothie has coconut in it and I wasn't asking for extra coconut just the coconut that already comes in the smoothie. The girl who took my order said that there would be an extra charge for coconut.... which made no sense to me. So won't be coming back, not for the price you pay for the classic smoothie bowl and get charged extra for ingredients that are in the regular smoothie to begin with. They also need to prioritize the way they make their orders as well.
