I typically frequent this store, but not anymore. When i go in, the people working are NEVER friendly. Its usually an older lady and a younger one. The older lady always calls the younger one to help me like she doesnt want to bother with me. Today I went in for an acai bowl for lunch, a few bites in, i realized i recieved an acai bowl with a hair in it. Needless to say I was grossed out, I left work to take it back and she begrudgingly gave me a refund with a side of attitude. I was sick last week with the worst cold and sinus infection I think I've ever had. Even when I started to feel better, nothing really sounded good to me, except for a smoothie. I decided to go with an ultimate açaí smoothie, which had Organic açaí, guarana, apple/strawberry juice blend, and banana. I also got a vita boost with it, which is included with no extra charge. I went in on a weekday morning and they weren't busy at all. I spent a while looking at the menu and was hoping I could do a custom blend, but didn't even ask if I could. Once I saw the ultimate açaí smoothie, it sounded so good and it was really good. I will definitely be back and am looking forward to trying some of the other yummy smoothies on the menu. I love this place, they make really good stuff. But the manager guy is really rude, and I have no idea why. He seems to refuse to say hello when I walk in, but if a cute girl does he will say hello. It doesn't bother me, but I do get a really weird vibe that makes me not want to come back. Fresh juices and bowls for a reasonable price. My biggest tip would be to get the rewards card!!! I feel like every other visit I earn $5 in rewards. Customer service is good, they are usually very quiet but they are efficient. Not usually a wait unless Edison just got out and the students are in there. Their juices and bowls are good. This was a very unpleasant visit. I stopped into this place after going to the gym and the customer service was extremely rude! When I ordered my smoothie the guy didn't say anything then was very agressive when placing the ingredients into the blender like he was annoyed that I was there. I asked for an extra scoop of protein and I saw him only put one so I reminded him and he still didn't add an extra scoop even though I was charged for it. When it was time for me to pay he just reached his arm out for my credit card and didn't even tell me to the total or say anything. The acai bowl here is the best I've ever had so far. Same goes with the smoothie. The taste is real and not powdery. The consistency is perfect and not watery. You get this flax granola as well as sliced bananas. What a wonderful way to boost your energy and also gain a few calories. I just went here with my mom at about 1:45pm and there were 2 guys working, one younger and one older. I wanted to introduce my mom to her first açaí bowl so I took her here. As soon as we walked into the empty place and were not even greeted, we began looking at the menu on the board. I was reading the different açaí bowls to her, and she asked the younger male worker what the difference was between Greek yogurt and nonfat yogurt. He condescendingly replied, "well they're 2 different yogurts.." She replied "well I figured that out..." So I then answered her question and explained that it was thicker and less sweet, and he just simply agreed with me. I then ordered an açaí bowl, larger size. My mom waited to order since she wanted to try mine first. I noticed the older guy who was making an açaí bowl was making a small size bowl and had just scooped a bunch of granola on top. I asked him if that was mine, and he said yes. I told him "oh sorry, I ordered a large." He looked at the younger guy, annoyed, and the guy agreed that I had ordered the large. The older guy, visibly irritated, looked back at the younger guy, rolled his eyes, and then just stood and stared at the bowl for like 5 seconds in awkward silence, as if he was debating whether or not he was going to accommodate my request. He then grabbed a large empty bowl and proceeded to pour the açaí bowl with all the granola on top into the empty large bowl, with the granola now all at the bottom. He then began filling the 2 inch gap in the new bowl with even more granola. Since I paid for a large açaí bowl, not a giant bowl of granola, I politely asked if he wouldn't mind making it again since I didn't want that much granola. The fact that he thought just pouring the small bowl into the large bowl with extra granola would suffice instead of the actual açaí that I paid for blew our minds. He slid the granola-filled bowl across the counter to the other worker and rudely started making the large açaí bowl again, banging the blender against the counter and carelessly tossing the fruit in. While he was making this, my mom asked the younger guy what he liked. He said, "I don't eat here, I'm so sick of this place. I've worked here too long, I don't eat here anymore." Awkwardly, she ordered a large mango bowl with granola and double the coconut flakes. I saw the guy start to tilt a glass container containing a bunch of powder onto my new bowl that he was making. I realized that the granola container was empty so he was just pouring the granola crumbs and powder on top, then topped that with a little granola that he refilled the container with to hide the powder. My mom was given her small bowl and they put barely any coconut flakes on it and twice the amount of granola. She didn't want the guy to have to remake hers since she had ordered the large one as well, so instead she began to ask if she could pay extra for a side of blueberries. He interrupted her and said would you like to leave a tip, and swung the screen around to her. Caught off guard, she said sure and chose to leave a 10% tip just as I was noticing all the powder in my bowl. We left and we both disappointedly threw away our açaí bowls since she didn't like hers and mine was so powdery and watery. We then drove to jamba juice and were greeted happily and had a completely different and positive experience compared to this place. Very disappointed since I have always had great experiences at juice it up at other locations. In conclusion, Juice It Up in general is good, but this location was just horrible. We go in often. The girl who works there most of the time in the morning is so sweet and works very hard. There is and older lady who works with her also a very very hard worker. They make very good açaí bowls. But more then once I have gone in there and a guy guessing mid 20's. He is a guy about 6 ft. Thicker build. He is unfriendly and just a nasty attitude. I have ordered from him he and every time he shorts the açaí and fills with granola. I will not go in if he is there. Have friends that go there feel the same. He loses u business. Some of the worst customer service I've received in recent memory. Not only do they not smile at all, but they wouldn't honor a coupon I had because I didn't fill my SELF-SERVE yogurt up enough. I told the manager I didn't want that much, and he told me I could "throw the rest out for all he cared". I've come here on and off for the past 15 years and I don't believe I will be returning. My mom purchased one of those deal of the day things. In tiny print it says you can't use it on their bowls, Brazilian blends, and their fancy smoothies. Ok. But nowhere on there does it say you can't use it on frozen yogurt, cookies, nutrition bars, Pirates Booty, etc. The owner refused to let me use the deal for anything except the basic smoothies. I was able to get 2 and then had to forfeit $3 of my deal because I wasn't going to give her any money. I was not pleased. Nowhere on the deal does it mention that. She refused to budge. No worries, I won't ever be returning and I'll make sure I tell my friends and family about my experience as well. read more

So our family comes here at least once a week. Their smoothies and açaí bowls are consistently very good and never seen watered down like some places. When I go, I usually see a younger guy who is either the manager, owner or both and a few older ladies, maybe family... I don't know. The older ladies work hard and are so sweet. However, on more than one occasion the manager yells at them and does not treat them well. It's uncomfortable to see/hear and honestly, makes me want to just leave I stead of waiting for my açaí bowl. It makes me so sad. First off, if a smoothie lists peanuts as an ingredient don't you think there should be peanuts?!!? My boyfriend and I have been to almost every Juice It Up in OC and we get the same drinks every time. His is the Zone which specifically calls for peanut butter AND peanuts, this Juice It Up is the only one that does not use peanuts and the lady who I think is the owner told us they don't use peanuts even though it lists them as an ingredient. I always get the Protein Blast with strawberries only. The other guy that was working there started making mine and put blueberries in it. The owner started yelling at him saying "strawberries only" and he just looked at me like I was supposed to say "oh, it's ok mess up my drink, i don't mind" before he started to remake mine. I wish I could give this place zero stars because it was that bad!! read more

Tasted good but there was no options that did not include some premaid juices. My mom told my it was likely a syrup filled juice. Looked on the website and the nutritional information did not mention anything to put my mind at ease. If I wanted calories from sugar or possible high fructose corn syrup I could just as well go get a burger. I think Jamba Juice is a healthier choice. We have been fairly regular customers here. It's a popular pre-sport/after school fave for my daughter. I have a loyalty card from there where I am long over due for for freebie or $5 credit (however they work it). I Sent my daughter in to get herself a smoothie. I finally registered my card with my phone number as recommended by the employees so I wouldn't have to worry about bringing my card - I could just enter my phone number. Finally did it! I tell my daughter to enter my phone number (but also give her some cash. I only had one $100 bill 5 $1's and an "emergency" credit card which I really did not want to have to use! Normally the $5 would have been enough for what she ordered. But they raised their prices $6 for a regular sized smoothie. They would not honor my phone number for rewards because they switched to an app! And your old "points" are transferable to the new app. So I am a bit perturbed because 1- they wouldn't take the $100 bill, 2- they didn't honor my phone number after I was encouraged to link my card that way where it would've been free or close to it; 3- they raised the price so she was $1 shy of the cash they would accept. And while I'm at it 4- they switched their cups to cheap plastic and I liked the old ones better. I normally don't post reviews a lot but this trip kind a irked me on so many levels. Oh and when you go to the app (which I downloaded) they do offer a transfer of your old points but don't accept your phone number! So now I guess I will have to dig through some purses to see if I can find it! It shouldn't be this complicated! I'm sure they know many don't actually have their cards so slick move! Okay rant over!
