Wandering around the tourist area, my fiancee and I were looking for something local, authentic, that still wouldn't give us Montezuma's revenge. They even have a vegetarian torta, which was difficult to find in DF. Their juices were a selection of pure juice blends, juice with milk, and juice with water. Not wanting to tempt the Porcelain gods, my fiancee got just mango with orange juice, which was pretty good and didn't make us sick. Food: there was a wide variety of tortas to choose from. My fiancee got the aforementioned vegetarian, which was rajas (peppers) with HELLA cheese. Like HELLA cheese. It was overly cheesy and was basically a bigass grilled cheese sandwich with some veggies. I got a alemana, which I chalk up solely to me forgetting that salchicha doesn't mean sausage, it means hot dog. I was thinking it would have brockwurst or something with ham, but no, it was the cheapest hot dog possible, the kind you would take camping as a kid or something. It too was covered in cheese, but still pretty good. I really wish I had gotten something with chorizo or any of the other wondrous meats on the menu. Total cost for 2 tortas and a drink was about 150 pesos, quite a bargain. Definitely will remember this place in the future!

I love fruits and this place reminds me of Africa..just wish they had the ingredients translated in English..either way the staff are great and we found a way to communicate...

Our first morning in Mexico City called for a tasty breakfast, and after a quick Yelp search (and a…read morefew TikToks for good measure), we landed on Petit Roquefort -- and wow, what a great choice! We arrived around 10:30 a.m. and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away even though the restaurant looked packed. There's actually an upstairs area that you can't see at first, so don't be discouraged if it looks full when you walk in. Our group ordered a mix of items -- fresh green juice, two plates of chilaquiles, and two hamburgers -- and everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Service was quick and friendly. Our server was kind, made great recommendations, and navigated the language barrier with patience and smiles. What makes this spot even more special is its location inside a small marketplace filled with local vendors selling everything from clothes and jewelry to organic oils and scrubs. After breakfast, we wandered through the shops and ended up buying a few cute items -- the perfect way to start our trip! Overall, Petit Roquefort was such a delightful surprise -- great food, warm service, and a charming atmosphere. Highly recommend for your first (or any!) morning in CDMX.

This restaurant is really popular for it's breakfast, but unfortunately I came late and missed out…read moreon that. Lunch became the plan and it was already 12pm, so it made sense. The Portobello Roquefort seemed unique and a good enough option for a lunch sandwich. It included Portobello, mezala de queso, another type of queso called queso de cabeza, Dijon mustard so delish, and lettuce. The restaurant is set-up very elegantly, and the service was right on par with the ambiance. Not a detail was overlooked and our dining needs were attended to with great attention. I am almost considering coming back again before I head out. Highly recommended restaurant for breakfast or lunch!
