Mora Mora offers great healthy fare if you're concerned about the 5000 tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, sopes, and empanadas you've eaten on your Mexico City trip (who, me?). My cousin and I split the PBJ toast to start and each got a juice - I got the charcoal one which was really tasty. What's cool about Mora Mora is all their smoothies can be made into bowls or vice versa. My cousin swears the El Azul is the best one so that's what I got in bowl form and she got the smoothie. This is my new go-to. I'm normally a loyalist to Ojo de Agua, which has far more locations. But this Mora Mora location is not only closer to my apartment, but it also has a much smaller, less overwhelming menu. I consistently get an acai smoothie and/or a bottled pressed juice (normally the beet juice) and the macro bowl, which is packed with protein (sweet potato, lentils, quinoa, broccoli, kale, almonds, avocado and tumeric dressing). The staff is usually pretty friendly and the service is prompt. The seating is very limited (maybe 5 tables, patio seating only for up to 20 people comfortably). I went on a recent night. It was raining and when I arrived I was surprised that there was no one else there. There was no seating inside but plenty of spaces on the covered patio to sit. I ordered an acai bowl with bananas, oatmeal, and seeds (not sure what kind, see the photo!). After ordering, I went to go sit down and wait for my food. I noticed a few leaks in the ceiling of the outdoor patio. Not an issue at first. I just took a seat where it was more or less dry. When my bowl came out my first thought was that it was beautiful! When I started eating it I was impressed at how comparable it was to the (overpriced) ones I buy in California. Anyway, I really enjoyed it and the fact that it wasn't overly sweet. As I kept eating, the rain started to pour harder and before I knew it there was nowhere to sit on the patio that wasn't significantly went. It was kind of annoying since there were no tables inside and because I was eating something cold, so being wet wasn't exactly ideal.
