Complained how he had just mopped the floor and how the store closes in "a little over half an hour" and kept making comments about how annoying it is for him when customers come in after he just finished mopping the floor. The sign on the door said the store was open until 10 pm so i'm confused why the cashier would mop the floor 40 mins before the store closes and then proceed to complain when customers come to purchase items during open hours... I would understand if we came in 5 minutes before closing..but this was 40 minutes before close. The entire time we were in the store he kept going on and on and just wouldn't stop about how annoying it is for him. We repeatedly apologized for inconveniencing him so much...It made us very uncomfortable and made us feel unwelcomed which was disappointing because that isn't the kind of service we are used to receiving here. My chief complaint here is the attitudes of the family owned business. I've only seen the ladies working the counter which I assume is a Mother and daughters combination. Their customer service needs some improvement. I have experienced rude and obnoxious comments to most of my small talk at when checking out at the registers. Or if I ask if their fuel was winterized and what the blend was for Winter Diesel they get defensive over nothing. It was -25 degrees outside and all I wanted know was how much #2 diesel they blended with, and the Mother/ or Grandma (hard to tell) got all snappy with me and told me "its winterized" "take it or leave it." Another customer service disgrace recently: For example they have a single automated car wash, and my truck is too tall, and Watford City has lots of automated car washes but no self service high pressure sprayers like you would find at a do it yourself car wash. I asked if they were going to ever add one to the outside of their business (they would make a ton of revenue). But their rebuttal was to take my pickup truck down the road to the semi wash and spend the $25-40 to have someone else wash it for me. Then when I explained how much it was one of the daughters rudely exclaimed that "Do you think I would stand out side and wash your truck for you for $40 to which she said NO!" She obviously missed the point about a self service car wash. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.
