For the Love of Piano is a wonderful music school! My son…read morehas been a student of Ms. Karen since he was 5 years old, and now he's almost 14. He first became interested in piano after attending the recital of a preschool friend and immediately asked to start lessons. Since then, he has continued year after year by choice, simply because he enjoys it so much. He especially looks forward to the studio's twice-yearly recitals, which are always beautifully organized and professional. Before each student performs, Ms. Karen shares a personal and encouraging message about them -- an amazing way to boost their self-esteem. One unforgettable act of kindness happened after our house fire in 2017, when his home practice keyboard was destroyed. The studio generously replaced it so he could continue practicing without interruption. This studio is truly best in class!

4TheLoveOfPiano is an exceptional musical establishment. As a parent of two children whom are…read moremusically educated here, and one about to commence their musical education I can honestly say I'm a huge fan. This place has some of the best pedagogically trained music teachers and musicians available and sure, like all music schools and regular schools, there can be the occasional staffing issue. Nothing to be concerned about though because the proprietors are truly great people who will do their very best to accommodate customers and their children. I have also quietly observed Mr. Michael helping out the staff with personal issues and doing his best to do right by the staff and the customer. Pricing is fair and in line with anywhere else and in my opinion based on being a paying customer here since March 2017 my opinion is, I think, fairly well agreed amongst all longstanding parents, and I've made friends with a few of them whilst waiting in the reception area. My eldest son is now as an accomplished pianist and vocalist as one could be at age 12 and my daughter age 9 is doing very well too. For the record I know about education too since I am a former educator myself and have taught in both the UK and here in the home of the brave. Do your family a favor and enroll your child for long term in order to give your child the best possible start in life.

As a student, I appreciate that she tailors each lesson to fit my learning style, while still emphasizing proper technique and music theory. Wow. Low blow here so let me set the record absolutely straight:…read more 1. My kid had lice - Low dig and dishonest. But that's just a distraction from the actual content of my review --- quality of instruction and management sucks. 2. "highly sought after teacher" / "works 6 days a week" - what this really means is you're understaffed and overworking your teachers. If they're working 6 days a week how can they possibly meaningfully engage with their students? Don't confuse lack of teacher supply with quality of teacher. Parents are smarter than that. 3. We provide welcome packets for instruction. This completely misses the point. What about meaningful parent engagement to ensure practice at home? What about recitals to showcase learning? A packet is not a replacement for meaningful dialogue and musical learning. I repeat - we were there for almost a year, RECITALS NEVER HAPPENED. We doubled up with voice lessons + piano lessons. Parents --- do the math, this was a terrible investment. Conclusion: We've been at ZTunes and have never been happier. As a parent, I'm too busy to throw shade or unnecessarily put down small businesses. This experience was severe enough for me to do so (TWICE), because I feel like I have an obligation to parents out there who are just looking for a meaningful musical experience for their children.

Having enjoyed a public holiday performance by singers representing the North Fulton School of…read moreMusic, I called to inquire regarding their program. I learned of their services, available agreement options, and a trial offering program. With this in mind, I scheduled our first "trial" lesson. However, when we arrived, we were to discover that the administrator had neglected to schedule the appointment with the instructor. Worse, that instructor was not accepting students on our preferred day, despite our originally having been informed otherwise. With forgiveness and hope encouraged by the quality of the facility and its popularity, we scheduled an alternative instructor and, for a time, enjoyed lessons as scheduled and of great quality. However, several months later, our instructor chose to pursue other endeavors resulting in our transfer to yet another teacher. We remained committed and continued on. In the coming months, we were to be treated to multiple, same-day cancellations via text from our instructor. "Multiple" representing the majority, of which there were also a handful of others with no more than a day or two of notice. When this occurred, we agreed with our instructor to lengthen subsequent lessons by the time missed due to cancellation. However, there was never a clear accounting provided and management, despite the number of occurrences, chose to never contact us directly. After about six occurrences impacting our weekly lesson within a little over three months, the last without promised response concerning rescheduling received at all, we finally chose to cancel our agreement and provided the required 30-day written notice to do so. Management acknowledged our cancellation, informed us of a pro-rated amount yet to be billed, and offered lessons for other instruments; without expressed concern for cause or further effort to retain. We declined. If...you live within a mile or two of the school, are incredibly flexible with your schedule, have no concern for regularity, and have no need for enhanced services such as web-based student/teacher portals; the North Fulton School of Music may be for you. Alternatively, and unfortunately, you may wish to pursue your lessons via a JoyfulTunes application as we ended up doing. It capably demonstrates as much concern as that which we experienced.
