That was my first problem. Second problem is, the word trim could be replaced with HACKING. Indiscriminately using clippers on her black nails, which is already dangerous because it's hard to tell where the quick is, and lo and behold she cut at least one too short. Immediately there was blood, which she tried to say was HERS!! She wouldn't have told me if I hadn't seen it myself! Third and final strike. I said we do them at home, we use grinders, and was being ignored while listening to commentary that they were practically grown into her feet (give me a break). I just wanted to get my dog back so I tried not to throw a fit and that was my subtle way of trying to say "we do them, you dont need to". I am horrified by the fact that if I hadn't seen the blood that she tried to hide, she wouldn't have told me. I am just shocked by the lack of respect, care, and transparency - I know mistakes happen, but this could have been avoided. If she'd had the respect to ask about performing additional services on my dog before just deciding to do them (would have said no), been mindful of taking small snips once she took it upon herself to just do things I hadn't asked for (or switched to a grinder - standard practice for dogs with black nails), and after making this unfortunate mistake she should have told me what she did instead of trying to lie about it!! Even just from a veterinary care standpoint, I NEED TO KNOW! What foot, what nail(s)!? We all should hope that this was just a little knick and my little senior lady doesn't go lame or you will be hearing from me again.

He also didn't seem like himself and was clearly off. It makes me concerned that the animals may be left alone for most of the day on weekends. We chose boarding so our dog wouldn't be alone, but his condition when he returned was upsetting. He even growled at us, which is completely out of character for him. In addition, he had sores that lead us to believe he may have been attacked by other dogs. It's very distressing to think that our well-cared-for, trained, and loved dog may not have been treated with the same level of care. To the owner, If animals are not being cared for properly, this is not the right line of work for you. The environment is also extremely loud, making it difficult to communicate with staff you can barely even say your pet's name and be heard. To other pet owners it would be best you find another place to take your pet.

Noah was a bundle of chaos, and Saint was well-behaved but needed some fine-tuning. After the training, they're both so much more responsive, well-behaved, and just easier to handle--especially with our 1-year-old baby around. Their confidence and obedience skyrocketed, and we've never felt closer to them. Plus, we learned how to keep up the training at home, which was super helpful! Never thought I'd be able to walk these big boys off leash and have them heel at my side. Bella and Fernando were professional, patient, and clearly love what they do. They kept us in the loop and gave us the tools we needed for success. If you're considering training, DO IT--you won't regret it!

From the initial consult all the way through graduate sessions they've been so educational, friendly, and supportive. They are priced competitively with other trainers in the area. Most importantly, our pups love them! They offer so many different types of training for everyone's needs and have even boarded our dogs when we went on vacation. We are so lucky to have found them.

I was immediately comfortable and confident that I had reached the right person . Step 1: He sent over a very detailed questionnaire, so he would know my dog before he met him. I did the 10 week at my home, which was most convenient for me. I would like to note that I travel and have a crazy schedule so we had to reschedule many times. I thank Roy for accommodating professional life. Step 2: our first in person visit Roy met Finn, my extremely rambunctious Australian shepherd/Shetland sheepdog, who loves to run out the front door and dash out into the desert, or bolt past me going down the stairs inside my house, almost sending me down the stairs . Little did I know training was as much for me, as it was for my dog. I learned so much about my dog and about me. Lots of things I thought were cute I have found are not so endearing I am still amazed. With every visit, I gained more insight and knowledge from Roy. Started out just leaving my house and working up and down my own Street. Step 3: moving from working in our neighborhood down to walking around at the park in the downtown area. Teaching Finn to sit at the corners before crossing, and not to chase after birds or other dogs. He no longer yanks on his leash. I am very grateful for the experience. I want to thank Roy from the bottom of my heart. Our lives have changed and are so much different, having a dog properly trained. Finn still has a long way to go, but I am willing to make the effort with the information Roy has given me to succeed. I plan on stopping in to his drop in classes in Kingman on Saturdays, because Finn's training will never be over, he is sly lol and he likes to get one up on me anytime he thinks I'm not paying attention. After all he is a smart dog! Roy travelled all the way from Kingman to Needles for our training, and I know he goes to Lake Havasu City and Bullhead and God knows where else If you are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced trainer, Roy is your guy . Yes, the building is nice, modern and clean but what really makes this place amazing is the staff that work here. I'll forever be grateful for the support and compassion they showed me during one of my hardest moments in life. Rewind: I'm actually not a local and was traveling here from out of town. I was staying in the desert for a few weeks so I brought my dog and cat down with me. In the most stressful of scenarios (traveling and being on vacation) my 13-year old cat fell ill almost immediately after we got into town. After a few days of her seeming not like herself and not eating, I brought her here to the urgent care. A few hundred dollars later and testing it was confirmed that my little one was dying (This wasn't a complete shock as she had been diagnosed with kidney disease a year before with a prognosis of only a few weeks to months to live.) You just never expect to be away from home when something like this happens.... The biggest blessing was that the doctor and techs encouraged me that I could take her home to have a couple more days to process the decision of putting her down/to see if there could be any improvements (even though it wasn't likely.) Having those extra couple days to say goodbye made the process so much more bearable and assured me that I wasn't making a rash decision... when you see your pet declining you know when it's time. I was just really grateful for how the team was so compassionate and flexible with me as I made this decision. While they were all professional, they felt like friends when I needed them most. Bringing my baby back to be euthanized on a holiday weekend was traumatic, but the team handled everything with grace and compassion. They have a special room where you get to say goodbye to your baby and it is very tranquil and lovely overall when dealing with such a tragedy. At the very minimum you would hope for a safe space when enduring something so difficult and they definitely created that....Again the team couldn't have been lovelier. They see these kinds of things every day, but they made me feel like I mattered. The whole process was expensive, but at the end of the day I would do anything for my animals so it just comes with the territory. Looking back, it was worth every penny to make an informed and educated decision and with how well everything was handled from start to finish that I'm so grateful for this team. I hope you find yourself here under less painful circumstances, but I am here to say that this is an amazing urgent care and the staff are A+.
