Dr. Black is really good at what he does. But his staff is absolutely terrible. No one ever answers the call in the office and take over a week to return them. They have a bad attitude and are completely inconsiderate of patient's health. This is making us change the doctor as it is extremely difficult to deal with his staff. read more

I wasted two days in this Doctors office. they ran a bunch of tests to check my thyroid. After the second day they said they would get back to me on the diagnosis. I never heard from them. After a month I was able to get someone on the phone, besides the rude receptionist. They proceeded to tell me I should stay on my medication. I said " I am not on any medication. That's what I came to your office to see about getting. " I was told again they would get back to me... They never called me back as they said they would. This was a complete and expensive waste of my time. I ended up seeing an Integrative physician who prescribed thyroid mess for me. Do not waste your time with an endocrinologist, especially this one. read more

Stay Away. He has the worst office staff known to the medical field. Attitude everywhere. I was his patient for all of one office visit. When the nurse called to change my medications and my chart was wrong, I flipped. She had an attitude with me after she told me to double the dose and she was wrong. Dr is too inteligent for his own good. Knows his medicine but does not have a clue of how to run a practice. Very dangerous for a patient. I'm in shock on how slow the medical industry is when it comes to auto immune. I have been waiting well over a month to get a order for some infushion test for my adrenal gland. Dr. Black is awesome, he will take his time with you when he gets to your room and actually explain everything that is going on and he will make sure you're completely comfortable with every approach and make you feel 'good'. Majority of his staff is terrible. The main receptionist is nice and the nurses. The billing lady and the one that checks you out do not care any about service, plain terrible and gives you an attitude about everything!! read more

No one whose commented to date is exaggerating when they say THE WORST STAFF. They are absolutely horrible. I'm in search of a new practice because of the sub par quality of the staff and their inability to help me with simple requests. They are there to provide a service to patients in support of Dr. Black and fail miserably. I am trying figure out why any professional would operate with such a slouch of office staff members. As far as Dr. Black he's a decent doctor whose been practicing for 45+ years. He knows his stuff, but is very quick with you. He's a by the medical book doctor and nothing more. read more

I am beyond frustrated. I have spent several hundred dollars out of pocket on needless tests to have never even heard results. It is utterly impossible to get a hold of a person in this office. While Dr. Black is very thorough, his staff is going to ruin his practice. I have never been talked down to and ignored like I have with this place. I am a patient of Dr. Judson Black. He found out what was wrong with me when no one else took the time to care. He is a very intelligent man but, his office staff is the worst I have ever had to deal with. They don't care about the patients or their jobs. They always have an attitude. I have had to call and call to get prescriptions corrected. A couple of years ago there was a really good nurse Eden that worked there and she really cared about the patients. The current staff is slow, rude, and they don't seem to care about the patients needs. Dr. Black needs to get rid of all the current staff and replace them with a caring staff. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! They told me that there was a modest fee if I did not give them notice that I could not make the appointment. I did give them notice, and told them my disabled child was ill, and I could not immediately reschedule. Well! I just received a bill from a collection agency and they billed me $250! They are the worst office imaginable, and must be doing so badly financially that they have to get revenue from single parents of disabled children (who are ill), who do give notice, and still get billed this amount of money?! We were actually given a recommendation to see Dr. Black for my 12 year old who was possibly having some hormone/growth issues. I didn't even do any research because of this recommendation. Last time I won't double check! And, now, in reading the previous reviews, I really wish I had!! I have had the exact same experience as the rest. We saw the dr. He was actually very good with my son, having to deal with such a sensitive health issue. Seemed knowledgeable and I was comfortable with the plan of action to determine if there really was a problem. That's where it went down hill. Took three phone calls over the course of several months for them to order the necessary VERY SIMPLE bone scan test from CHOA. Finally got the test. I was able to read it myself, but still scheduled a follow-up (READ: I scheduled the follow-up. They didn't call me for it once the test results were sent to them). It was scheduled for the what ended up being one snow day of the winter - I couldn't get out of my street. Schools were closed (at least in Cobb and Cherokee) and it didn't dawn on me to call. Next thing I know: $50 missed appt fee. I called to let them know what happened and the 'nicely' waived the fee 'this time.' (I really could understand a missed appt fee for a random missed appt. But, with the city not functioning at 100%, I certainly couldn't have been the only one affected. Have a little heart.) Inept and rude staff (except for front desk who were mildly warm and one nurse who was at least pleasant and cordial on the phone, though not sure about his follow-through.) I really wanted the wisdom of this seasoned dr to help us out. Instead, we're going somewhere else. read more

Awful! I went to see Dr. Black because i am with a hair loss and he prescribed me a blood test to check my thyroid. Took 10 days to receive the result. After calling many times someone finally told they have my results. Went to see him and he told me that I need to do a Cortrysyn Stim Test. Took 2 weeks from someone in his office send the order to the Northside Hospital lab. When I called Northside the next available time was in one week. Did the blood work, another 14 days pass. Finally got the results back because I was calling... scheduled my appointment the same day. When I saw Dr. Black he tells me that the lab at the Northside didn't do 2 of the required blood test you can imagine my frustations. This week is the 2nd week since I saw him and no one has call me to reschedule my test that they messed up. Called again today and nothing. I give up! He doesn't trust his team. He does everything and takes forever to have things done. Scheduled appointment with another doctor. I will be bald if I keep waiting for this doctor. read more

Dr. Black is a great physician and man. He has even given me his cell phone number. I do not see him but my MIL does. And he has just saved her. But his office staff is very rude!!!! Never have been treated so ugly in my life! read more

I canceled my new patient appointment and never saw Dr. Black. When I called his office the day before my appointment, his staff would not listen to my question. The staff member was rude and unprofessional. She was laughing loudly with coworkers, and then hung up on me. read more
