Communication by the office has improved steadily, and my cataract surgery was a complete success.

I had been thinking about and researching upper eyelid surgery for several years, but I was always…read morehesitant especially when it came to having any kind of incision on my face. That all changed when I came across Dr. Jayaram's website and began watching her educational videos. Her approach felt thoughtful, precise, and natural, which gave me the confidence to schedule a consultation. From the moment I met her, I felt a strong sense of trust. She has a calm, reassuring presence and clearly explained what could be achieved. I never felt pressured and only guided and she gave me confidence that I would be happy with the results if I chose to proceed. She also has a very polished and professional presence, which added to my comfort level. I also want to mention Sky, her office assistant, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and organized. She helped coordinate my appointments seamlessly and contributed to making the entire experience smooth and pleasant. The office itself is beautiful and welcoming, which reflects the level of care they provide. After the procedure, I will admit I was initially nervous to look in the mirror, which I think is natural. I was even surprised that I was able to drive myself home afterward. I had expected to feel comfortable going out with sunglasses after about a week, but I ended up giving myself closer to two weeks, which was the right decision for me. At my one week follow-up, she carefully checked my healing and asked to see me again at one month. At that visit, she took my after photos and I am now happy to say after three months that I am very pleased with the results. Looking back, this was a thoughtful and worthwhile decision, and I am truly glad I did it. Dr. Jayaram has a gentle touch, a precise eye, and a natural aesthetic. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering this procedure. Overall, she is a master in her field. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

Dr J did an amazing job. She does what works best for your features (not a one size fits all…read moreapproach.) I am so happy with the results. She is also very accessible if you have questions/concerns. Both Skye and Dr J are very friendly and I felt very comfortable during every visit. Her office is a bit of a drive for me but totally worth it as Dr Js skills are exceptional.

Dr. Fishman is everything you would ever want in a doctor. He seems to genuinely care about his…read morepatients. His credentials are outstanding. He's incredibly nice. He determined I need cataract surgery (which he no longer does), and he has been with me every step of the way to make sure he approves of the surgeon. (The first one he recommended has a very full schedule) One warning: he doesn't accept insurance. I knew that when I made another appointment with him, but I was willing to pay more, knowing how great he is. I was actually surprised that I wasn't charged more, because he spent around 2 1/2 hours with me.

As the day went on, the pain got worse and worse till I was basically holding my eye shut and hiding from any bright lights. My boyfriend called Dr. Fishman and saw me that day. He found that I must have scratched my sclera (white part of my eye) while I was sleeping. He gave me a prescription to protect my eye from bacteria as it healed, wrapped my eye to protect it and reassured me that my eye was going to be ok. Dr. Fishman is very friendly, loves what he does, enjoys sharing his knowledge about eyes and takes time with his clients. I appreciate his professionalism and help.

I just realized that my first review of Dr. Wang was over 14 years ago. Well, nearly a decade and…read morehalf later, I'm still going to her for my annual eye examinations. It should be obvious that I trust her with my eye health. Dr. Wang is skilled, knowledgeable, and efficient. In addition to fully answering my questions (which are often very technical since we're both in the healthcare profession), she takes time to chat about different subjects such as work and family, and she remembers details about these conversations when I see her in followup. Joel, the optician, has also been there for a long time. He is helpful and gives honest opinions about the frames that I choose. Dr. Wang, if she has time, sometimes weighs in as well. My glasses usually arrive in the office much sooner than originally promised. Only once did my lenses have to be remade, when the progressive part of the lens (yes, I'm that old) was a little too high and there was a slight visual distortion as I looked through them. If I had one minor complaint, it's that there is a comparatively smaller selection of frames in the Menlo Park office (admittedly, I've never been to her Mountain View location). However, I'm always able to find something that I like and looks pretty good on my face.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I received glasses here in early January and was told to try them…read morefor three months. When I returned for a follow-up because I still haven't got used to the glasses, I was treated with utter disrespect. The individual who performed my exam took me into the room and began shouting at me, insisting the glasses were fine before I could even explain the issues I was having. I have never experienced such unprofessional or aggressive behavior in a medical setting. Do yourself a favor and find another ophthalmologist who actually listens to their patients. I had got my glasses from the menlo park office and they told me to go to their mountain view office this time.
