I called Royal flush after calling another company with no response, and very early Charlie the owner came out and emptied the tanks and was able to see that one of the pipes in tank was not connected. It was clear to Charlie that we needed a plumber since this is not what his company does. He called another company/plumber and literally they happened to be driving past our house on another call. The plumber and another employee of the plumber talked with Charlie onsite and inspected the pipes, cut the main pipe to have a part to take with them to make sure they had what they needed for the situation. In the process the whole pipe system broke off in the tank. Two years ago, we had the main line pipe replaced, the tank pump, and the in tank electric box replaced. Both Charlie and the plumbers found mistakes in the previous work. They then pulled up the pump, and it probably had been running full time for days to months, which might explain why our electric bill went up from $170 to $350 a month for a while. They then gave me options. I kept the pump, but they fixed the box, replaced all the plumbing, and floats. What I do want to say though is, everyone one of these three men was they were incredibly knowledgeable, nice, honest, and very fair in their price. They knew what the problem was, and fixed it. I think we underestimate the power of one person's connections to others in a community to pull together a solution.

I got called back to schedule the appt. and got called back once to explain why the driver wasn't there in the morning. The pump out service was fine. I dug the opening and when they did finally show, it took less than 15 minutes to pump the tank. I just like talking to real people and not voicemail. The driver was very nice and explained that communications with the "office" can be problematic.

Allen from Doyon came to our house, analyzed the situation and figured out it was a frozen pipe outside - under 3 feet of snow and frozen ground. He helped us dig into the frozen ground to thaw the pipe. We hit a snag when he realized the pipe had a fork - and was creative, thoughtful - and hearty - enough to dig into the ground in another spot to get to the offending ice. Meanwhile the temperature was minus 10 with the wind chill. We are so pleased and thankful to Doyon for sticking with this problem and fixing it!
