I had Jubilee Pool and Patio for 7 weeks before I cancelled, a green-to-clean followed by weekly maintenance. The green-to-clean worked for exactly 1 of those 7 weeks. The remaining 6, my pool was green or flat-out unswimmable.
The worst stretch was August 1st through the 24th, bright green the entire time, because the owner said he "couldn't get through the gate." Every single one of his techs got in weekly all season with zero issues, and there was a note on my account with instructions on how to get in. Somehow only the owner had a problem.
They then charged me extra labor to fix a mess caused by their own missed service. I pushed back, but the owner personally assured me if I paid it, the pool would be perfect by that Monday. I paid it. Monday came, the pool was greener than before.
The pool also needed a sand filter repair, it was leaking. They quoted me a price that was literally double what I ended up paying to fix it myself elsewhere. Before I did, I confirmed with them directly that as long as I got it repaired within 48 hours, they would not charge me anything additional. They agreed. I held up my end and got it fixed in 48 hours. They charged me additional labor and chemicals anyway.
I canceled and respectfully asked not to be charged for a month my pool was completely vile and green the entire time. Instead, with a week still left in the month, they tried to run my card for the full month plus almost $200 more in "labor" to fix their own mistake. When it got declined, they kept lowering the amount and resubmitting until one finally went through.
All in, I paid this company almost $2,000 across 7 weeks of service where the pool was actually usable for 1 of those weeks. Their answer when I called them out was that they "did the work." I don't pay for effort, I pay for a clean, swimmable pool, the one thing they never actually delivered for 6 out of 7 weeks. They're also close to double what other local companies charge for the same service.
Since canceling, I shocked and brushed the pool myself. It's completely clear and blue after 4 days. It took me 4 days to do what "the professionals" couldn't manage in over a month.
This just isn't how you run a business or treat the people paying you. You don't miss a week of service, blame it on a gate your own techs walk through every week, break an agreement the second it's convenient, and then try to squeeze extra money out the door after a customer cancels over completely legitimate concerns. Do not hire this company. read more
