Just a reminder that portions are small since these are tapas! We ordered three for two people -- tostón hawaiano, velas d'arrós negre and bombitas de camarón. We also ordered two bottles of water and two glasses of wine (I got the rosado-sospechoso '15 cuenca). The tostón hawaiano was my favorite tapa, and the bombitas de camarón was pretty good as well. I was not a fan of velas d'arrós negre--it literally tasted like styrofoam. The wine was good though!

It looked like it offered things to satisfy one's thirst and one's hunger. We were correct. Sangria. Meat and cheese play. Fried ham and cheese bites. My God. It was terrific. The ham and sausage were amazing, as was the toast and the cheese and the guava. The sangria was a generous enough pour without them giving us a pitcher. I'd go back. And I'd probably order the same thing as before. Sit outside under an umbrella when the weather is nice. Great spot.

We are greeted by the hostess who took us to a table downstairs, which has slightly more of a club feel than than the upstairs. We are seated and promptly met by a waiter who brought us a drink menu. This is where some of the issues started relating to the service. It took about 20 minutes for the waiter to come back and get our order. After looking through the menu, the waiter offered to customize cocktails based on what we liked. Great, we thought! So we went around and let him know our preferences and ordered two desserts, the chocolate ganache cake with tangerine sorbet and carrot cake. We received one of the cocktails about 10 minutes later, a gin fizz type drink that was very delicious. We waited patiently for the other three drinks and dessert but after another 20 minutes, still nothing. The waiter came back and explained that the bar keep had forgotten about the rest of our order. About 10 minutes later we got everything else which was great. All the cocktails were delicious and it was a great spot for dessert. The group as a whole preferred the chocolate ganache cake more than the carrot cake, but the cocktails and atmosphere rounded out a great night. If it wasn't for the service issues, this place would have gotten 5 stars from us, but waiting for drinks for over 30 minutes was a bit ridiculous.

Upon making reservations online, we were immediately seated and served bread with mashed sausage/jamon. We tried the seasoned jalapeños, salad with goat cheese, pork cheek and fries, mushrooms, braised pork with wine sauce, potato's and sausages, octopus and potato's, tuna bites and croquettes. Everything was super yummy and came out pretty quickly. Their red wine was also pretty good! And we ended with desserts of truffle chocolates which were decadent, lemon creama, and red cherries in alcohol which was straight up drenched (would not recommend this one). Overall had such a great time here and the server gave us complimentary shots on the house at the end :). A truly great experience and would definitely come back!
