I had a strawberry margarita which was well Prepared. I had gringo tacos, meat was excellent. Good taste! Good size. Try the street corn! But the best was the frijoles negros (black beans) they were so good that I don't recall to have as good beans since my abuelita made for us back in 1989!!

Most margaritas are made with good tequila, triple sec, and fresh squeeze lime juice.. They make a mic of llimes and oranges now! Iit tastes more like an orange margarita than a regular margarita. For years, they always made it really good and now it's just processed. They say it's all fresh squeeze in the morning but why do they put oranges in the margarita mix.? We had steak fajitas which were very good and of course they always give you nachos and salsa, which is delicious too but if I wanna get a good margarita, I won't be going back there. PS The band was good outside.

The one positive: our children liked their chicken meal. We wanted to like this place; we pass by…read moreit so often and wanted to try it out. We will not be returning. Husband was irritated there was no paper towels in bathroom, the service was slow even though it was one other diner and us after a small group left shortly after we arrived. While the food was not worthwhile for the husband and I, the bait and switch with the pricing is the most upsetting. We will support local dives and restaurants, but the price on their menu and what the waiter said to us was off about $25 (to be conservative) from what we were charged (not including tax or the tip we left). The receipt photo is attached. The kids meal were listed at $9.95 on their menu (charged $29.10); in which the lady/owner tried to tell me that it's really 13.99 per their payment system and she wrote it on our receipt. We were charged for 3 fountain drinks, and then a large lemonade. We had 1 water, 1 regular size ice tea, 1 kid size ice tea and 1 kid size lemonade. The waiter told us 2 tacos w/rice and beans would be $10.95. We did ask for some queso, and were given a small gravy bowl of it, but to be charged $9.35! Umm, why is melted cheese $9.35?! The math is not adding up. This is not fine dining-why is the total $104.99? The owner said the chicken is white meat, so the cost reflects that. Ok, but why the bait and switch with the menu price and register price? We understand the need to increase price due to raising cost of goods/food, but let's be honest with our pricing. The meal was not worth it with the little chunks of "white" chicken my husband got. He was livid. I went back to let the lady know that her pricing/ menu is off. She did offer to give us $20 off our next meal. But we don't want it. This will not be a place we are returning to. Thank you, but please take care of your menu, pricing and food quality.

Funky interior. Not an extensive Mexican menu, with burritos, tostados, tamales etc absent from the menu. Food wasn't bad, chips were fresh and the green salsa was good. No diet sodas available. My tacos were good with nice presentation, although I think $.25 as an upcharge for lettuce on the tacos was ridiculous! Corn taco shells tasted homemade and held the tacos well. Enchiladas were unappetizing and just ok.

Over the years they…read morehave expanded from a four-tables set up to one with an outdoor patio area, and now finally moved across the street to become a full service restaurant with a restroom. They still keep the colorful decor they used to have in the old place, a little kitschy but charming nonetheless. The menu has really expanded. Needless to say, $1 taco days are long gone. They do still have $2 tacos, on Tuesday and take out only. (Curiously, we felt that if they had allowed dine in, we would have ordered drinks and maybe some appetizers and other stuff and they would have made more money off us.). Otherwise, the tacos are like $5 each, and they do have a lot of unusual varieties if you want to try something beyond the regular chicken, al pastor and chorizo. Another thing I missed is they used to have a condiment bar with like eight different types of salsa. Now they serve the varieties to you along with some tortilla strips, so you can get a taste of six varieties, and ask them for more of your favorites. Still a great place for authentic Mexican food.

We were welcomed with complimentary chips and an impressive lineup of six salsas. Sampling each one was fun, and the smaller corn chips were especially addictive. Our meals were flavorful and well-prepared. The empanadas were crisp and golden, the mixed steak and chicken fajitas arrived sizzling and aromatic, and the pastor wet was rich, creamy, and generously portioned. There was a hit of sweetness that was a nice unexpected flavor. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean, and it is clear they handle a lot of takeout without sacrificing dine-in quality. Overall, Don Taco delivers a delicious experience with great variety and warm service. It is definitely worth a visit.

After moving to…read moreFlorida from California, we missed the abundance of good authentic affordable Mexican food. While friends were visiting, I found Papasitos on Yelp and thought we could give it a try. I swear I would never have known this place was there if I didn't have my map app telling me where to turn! It is kind of hidden since it is tucked on the side next to an auto audio shop which is very visible on US Hwy 19. Unfortunately, it is extremely easy to miss this gem of a restaurant and I bet a lot of people drive past it all the time and don't even notice it. On our first visit, we were extremely impressed and surprised at how delicious everything was! We have not only been returning on a regular basis, we have gotten our daughter's family (including my young grandkids who are picky eaters!) hooked on Papasitos too! We all recommend it to anyone we know who wants good Mexican food. Our favorite menu items are the chicken tinga quesadilla (highly recommend it!), pastor taco, blackened shrimp taco, chicken enchiladas and carne asada burrito. Top it off with their freshly made churros - sooo yummy! Hats off to the owners who treat us like family now. A special thanks to their son, Lorenzo, who is the server. He remembers all our orders without us having to say anything. Now that's service! I hope anyone reading my review goes and supports this really great small family business. I guarantee that you'll be hooked on their food once you do!
